the music of downton abbey march 18, 2017 sacramento community center theater1800 arts supporters joined us at this concert featuring music from the popular tv series by emmy award-winning composer john lunn. Their families. Attendees absolutely love the projected super title translations that we provided for this performance. The chorus members dressed in period costumes and we even had the downton dog on stage for awhile. Large images of the period projected on the screen above the chorus added a great dimension to the evening. Soprano carrie hennessey and baritone kevin doherty added great value to the evening. Narrators alison gilbreath and elizabeth anne springett recounted stories of the period that enhanced the event. The attendees got to sing a long and even waved the union jack at the end of the concert.
