Mission: To provide integration guidance and support to rwandan immigrants in maine.
Programs: 3 hours per week rwandan cultural dance education program was provided. The organization has served 25 children between the ages of 5 and 15.
youth summer camp included a college visit field trip to a selected college or university in new england. The field trip was organized for fifty immigrant children between the ages of 14 and 16 years old. The kids spent a day sharing their experience from the trip and their aspirations.
the new mainers integration center was created as a product of collaboration between different immigrant organizations. The center serves as a one stop center where immigrants can obtain information, referrals and guidance.
new mainers tenants' association was established with the purpose of educating and advocate housing tenants in the greater portland area.
