Programs: Court diversion is a voluntary, confidential alternative to the formal court process for certain juvenile and adult offenders. The state's attorney refers each case on an individual basis. Court diversion provides case-management and support services to empower clients to comply with conditions set forth by restorative justice panels. Court diversion also administers the youth substance abuse safety program with is a program for people aged sixteen to twenty in possession of or having consumed alcoholic beverages or being in possession of or having used marijuana (civil ticket program).
the juvenile restorative justice program holds youth accountable to victims and the community by providing an opportunity for victims and community memebers to interact with offenders to discuss the harm cause by the crime and the action needed to repair the harm done. The program also offers mentoring services for "at risk" youth.
pre-trial monitor program is a voluntary program which may include risk assessment and needs screening. As an alternative, the prosecutor may offer an opportunity to participate in this program instead of filing the individual's case with the court.
