Results: In just one year: over 50 individual veterinary medical cases have been treated directly by Rural Veterinary Outreach that would not have had access to veterinary care otherwise. Virtually, Goat Vet Corner (our online forum for veterinary education), has over 20,000 members whose posts have been seen by over 100 veterinarians. The group has about 1,000 daily users with 5 to 10 actually cases being discussed daily. An estimated 3,000 cases are discussed with veterinarians and 365,000 educational experiences realized, annually. Both our virtual and real-world outreach has brought veterinary expertise and care to many people who find themselves without access (monetary or geographical) to direct veterinary care when they and their animals need it.
