I am proud to say I am a volunteer with Ruby's Place. I give of my time and money because the organization is experienced, passionate and dedicated to helping people in extreme need to be safe and to move on to productive lives. Ruby's Place is a top-notch, highly effective nonprofit.
What a difference Ruby's Place makes to so many that are suffering from abuse. This non profit offers unique help and care for abuse/human trafficking victims with a skilled and kind staff in place. I believe in this organization and their cause so deeply that my company puts Ruby's Place on our products label.
Ruby's Place is a lie, they don't help with anything so don't believe their website. Some of the works are very prejudice, and just from my experience at the shelter. Yes I use to be a clinic and I have to say you see a lot of things in 90 day's. For example when new families come in of hispanic color, they will pull out the nice and new items. But when families of color come in, it's the old and use items. And that just the beginning of all the things that wrong with this place. They act as if they care but they really don't. I believe they feel like we prove the roof what more do you need. And if do need anything you have to do it yourself without their help. And don't get wrong I love the shelter it's the works who make it bad. Maybe if they had works of different ethnic background it would be better. Maybe then it wouldn't feel so divided, because that how it felt when I stayed their. FYI LAST DAY WAS YESTERDAY!!
Ruby's Place is a well-run organization, helping women and their children get a fresh start into a better life. Their needs are met with love and caring support. Their safety is guarded. Ruby's Place actively partners with organizations in their community and actively represents the issues of domestic violence and human trafficking in the larger Bay Area, that we may all become better informed and and more aware of ways we can help. I would not hesitate to send a friend in need to Rubys Place.
Ruby's Place is a hidden jem within the non- profit shelters in Hayward, CA. The shelter is comfortable enough to call home, staff is supportive and diverse, and they have services for the children as well. They are one of few shelters that serve a diverse client population; Human trafficking, domestic violence and homeless- and without asking the individual for proof (such as police records/ documents).
