Mission: The royalton memorial library serves the town of royalton with free library facilities and library services. The library seeks to foster awareness and use of its services and resources by the community. It will gather, preserve and make freely available to all members of the community the information that will assist them to: become more capable in their daily occupations, keep pace with progress in all fields of knowledge, become better members of home and community, enhance their enjoyment of leisure time, develop their creative and spiritual capacities, promote personal and social well being, contribute to the growth of knowledge. The royalton memorial library seeks to identify the needs in royalton for library service and to provide these services for patrons or to cooperate with other local or state organizations in meeting these needs.

Programs: Provide library lending service: books, periodicals, dvds, audiobooks, and e-books. Lending available at library as well as monthly deliveries to south royalton area senior center and home-deliveries as needed. This past fiscal year there were 7,133 visits to the library - a total of 9,801 items (books, dvd's, audio books, and periodicals) were borrowed by patrons. The library also provides free reference librarian services, both in-person and via e-mail and phone.

a total of 141 library programs were held this past fiscal year, with a total attendance of 2,108 patrons - library programs that encourage a love of reading and lifelong learning among adults and children. These programs included: twice-weekly preschool and toddler story times; a biweekly adult reading group; 13 meetings of our annual summer reading program for children, with a program total attendance of 339; monthly science exploration program for young learners; lego club monthly meetings; and other educational programs exploring local art, local history, consumer protection, sign language, other cultures, and author talks.

provide the public free access to high-speed internet through public library computers and open-access wireless internet. The library had 6 public access computers available during regular business hours (they are always busy) and password-free public wireless internet access. The library offers one-on-one computer tutoring to the public.
