Mission: The rotary foundation of florida, inc. Is a florida not-for-profit corporation which was formed by the members of the tampa north rotary club primarily to assist rotary clubs in their local and international charitable missions. The foundation is also open to assist other organizations or groups in their charitable fundraising. The activities that have been planned or have been initiated can vary a great deal from year to year and club to club but the following are ongoing initiatives of rotary internationally and in florida: rotary's camp florida polio plus pet tampa interact club of chamberlain high school all the activities of the rotary foundation of florida, inc. Are performed by volunteers at no cost to the foundation. Expenses of major fund raising activities are limited to direct costs of materials or facilities such as direct costs of food and non-alcoholic drink, and entertainment when applicable. Org/endpolio polio plus is an international campaign started by rotary international in 1985 in conjunction with unicef and world health organization to eradicate polio from the face of the earth. This highly successful program has eliminated polio, no new cases in five years, in all but five countries in the world. The activities are conducted by local rotary clubs at no cost this foundation. All proceeds are passed on to the rotary foundation (ein 51- 0236074). Pet florida tampa, inc. The cart project was a small project. The idea was to purchase four hand propelled carts that would allow paraplegics to be able to "get around" in communities where there are no roads or sidewalks.
