Mission: Our mission is to: - Feed the hungry with surplus nutritious food- Access and improve food distribution and transportation systems- Develop innovative hunger relief solutions- Replicate the concept of Rotary First Harvest.
Programs: In 2014, rfh continued working hard to secure large-scale donations of produce for washington's food bank clients. Through our new growing connections program, our harvest against hunger program, and our general operations, we increased the number of farmers and growers who give produce to rfh. Since food banks across the state continue to report record-breaking numbers, we strive to secure and move as much produce as possible to feed produce to people who need it. We also engaged rotarians in the greater king and snohomish county areas in hunger relief and saw an increase in rotarian involvement with rfh and general hunger relief. Nearly all of our produce packing work parties have been full to capacity and both the local rotary district and some rotary clubs have held events to benefit rfh's work.
