Mission: Primary focus of the rotary club of harrisburg endowment fund is to build the fund to a level to award annual scholarships to children of low income families in houston isd and support local community service projects.
Programs: Through investment activities and earnings, rotary club of harrisburg endowment fund is able to assist with scholarships and tuition for low income families in the houston independent school district. Scholarships from 500 to 2,000 each were paid to students during the fiscal year.
through fundraising activities the endowment fund was able to assist various community orgaizations to include early act first knights (eafk), a year round character and service education program for elementary and middle schools. Eafk is research based and 100% of participating campuses experience increased acedemic performance and decreased student behavior incidents.
through fundraising activities the endowment fund was able to assist various community schools with dictionaries for students and bicycles for students with perfect attendance.
