Mission: Providing supportive services during pregnancy and after delivery to enhance parent-child relationships and also help the parents identify and pursue personal and career goals.
Programs: Home visiting program for pregnant and parenting women specializing in services to teen mothers. Services focus on eliciting family goals from program participants and assisting them in meeting those goals. The purpose of the program is to reduce the incidence of child abuse and neglect and decrease infant mortality rates while increasing positive parenting skills and healthy birth outcomes. The program serves about 200 families each year. This program was fully integrated with and incorporated into pathfinders milwaukee, inc.
healthy girls program: a teen pregancy prevention program focused on providing youth with options available so as to make informed choices to stay pregnancy free and avoid victimization. Classes are taught for 10 weeks and evaluation is measured by the post-test knowledge gain of the participants. The objective is to provide curriculum education to a minimum of 220 youths annually. This program was fully integrated with and incorporated into pathfinders milwaukee, inc.
