Mission: Healing all people with compassion, faith, and excellence.
Programs: Roper st. Francis mount pleasant hospital opened in november of 2010 and has become a true community hospital. The hospital places an emphasis on comfort, communication and care with a personal touch. Roper st. Francis mount pleasant hospital contributed $4 million in community benefit in 2016. This benefit included charity care, unreimbursed medicaid, and numerous sponsorships and community outreach programs (see schedule h for additional details). The hospital also volunteered 2,000 staff hours in 2016 that benefited nearly 2,000 individuals in the community. Rsf mount pleasant hospital received the outstanding patient experience award from healthgrades. It also was named a top 100 hospital by truven health analytics and earned an "a" on the spring hospital safety score from leapfrog. Teammates from rsf mount pleasant hospital \ led a system-wide initiative to raise $30,000 to certify, retrofit and ship donated supplies and equipment to a rural hospital in nicaragua. This effort was part of an ongoing relationship the healthcare system has with the 117-bed rural hospital that provides care to move than 150,000 residents.
