Causes: Health
Mission: Keeping families with a sick child/children close to the care and resources they need, when it matters the most.
Programs: In 2017, rmhc of western montana served more than 200 families, for a total of 2,419 nights of lodging. These families come from 24 different counties across montana and northern idaho. The current cost to provide our services at the house is approximately $100 per night, per room. We ask guests for a suggested donation of $25 a night, but no one is turned away for the inability to pay. With the average stay being 17 nights, even $25 a night is simply beyond most families' means. As a locally-governed nonprofit, we rely on the support of the entire community. While we cannot make medicine taste better or take away painful treatments, we can lessen the burden and ensure families have the stability and resources they need.
