I have followed Roman for years. Shortly after losing our two senior dogs to cancer, I saw a picture of Roman holding two puppies. I fell in love with one of the puppies & knew he was our baby. Project Freedom Ride took care of everything medically (he had ear issues as a baby) and he joined our family late last November. My friend adopted his brother, and we get them together often for play dates. PFR is making a huge difference in states that are overwhelmed with unwanted pets. Highly recommend!
PFR is such an amazing organization, and Roman has such a big heart for saving dogs in the high kill areas of Texas and Georgia. We got our Mia through them in early 2019, and I have been a volunteer and donor since. What stands out most to me is not that it was started because of a little boy's desire to help, though that is absolutely incredible. What I love most about PFR is that they are committed to the highest standards and ethics. They work only with carefully screened fosters and rescue organizations that they know also have high standards for care and ethics. And they thoroughly screen all direct adopt families to make sure they will take the best care of any animals they bring into their home.
Roman and his mom are both genuine, and they work tirelessly to save the lives of animals in areas where there is little hope of them finding a happily ever after. As you can see from Mia's smiling face, she's so grateful that PFR helped bring her to her forever family. We are too.
