Mission: Rogue book exchange is a nonprofit organization founded to unite unwanted books with people who want them.
Programs: To make published media, including books, movies and audio cds available free to the public. In a county where public libraries were recently closed for seven months and future funding remains uncertain, it is vitally important to have media available to the public, regardless of economic background, religion, ethnicity, age or sex. Donated materials will be sorted as they come in to determine value and a small proportion will be sold online or in the storefront in order to pay our operating expenses. All other materials will be shelved until someone takes them home. We accept donations of both media and cash, but there is no expected donation from anyone who wishes to take materials. Additionally, this business model will serve to extend the life of books by creating a convenient exchange location for materials that might otherwise end up in a landfill.
