I’m not sure where to begin. I started this at First Bank with VP Elise whom I absolutely adore. She left the bank not long ago because she became engaged. I was devastated. She qualified me for $200k and I completed all the necessary paperwork for RMCLT including orientation. I never heard back and went to the bank to talk with Elise and found she left. I talked to her replacement who sent me to Vicky. I was told I qualify for $165k and 6 people were ahead of me. Then received a call and was told 9 people were ahead of me and to be patient. Sounds like it will be YEARS before I will get a home. SueAnn Evans

In March 2000, I became a homeowner in the Land Trust's Affordable Homeownership Program. As a young, single mother with a small son I would not have been able to purchase a home on my own. During the 10 years we have lived in our home we have been able to adopt a couple basset hounds from the local rescue, plant a garden in our own backyard every summer, and my son had his own fort/play area growing up. Just after purchasing my home I was elected to the RMCLT Board of Directors where my thoughts and opinions as a homeowner in the program were valued. I was Vice-President on the Board from 2007-2009. A position on the RMCLT Staff became open in August of 2009. My background in the Program, commitment to volunteering at the office whenever possible, and career background led me to apply for the position and complete numerous interviews. I have been the Resource Development/Community Outreach Coordinator at the Land Trust for almost a year now. Seeing how this non-profit is run as a client, board member, and now as a staff member, it never ceases to amaze me at what lengths the Land Trust is willing to go to help the families in our community!
