This rescue is super effective, transparent, and dedicated to the well-being of equines in the southern United States. All the animals that are saved from neglect, cruelty and slaughter are carefully evaluated and vetted by the best equine professionals in the area. Many of the animals need veterinary care after they are rescued and they use the best veterinarians in the south. As a southerner, I see the suffering every day and that’s Rescue has really made a difference.
I have followed this Rocking R Ranch & Rescue for quite some time.
The ladies that run this rescue do it pouring their hearts and souls for the horses that need help the most, the ones nobody wants to deal with, the ones which healing requires expensive and extensive treatments, the mares with new borns that have moms that have basically given all they had and are struggling to survive...I’ve seen over and over how healing (physical and emotional) happens at Rocking Rescue.
So many cases are mind blowing transformations and it’s absolutely wonderful to see these horses get back to life and joy!!
This rescue is by far the most dedicated and caring that I’ve ever seen (and I’ve followed many). These ladies are a blessing to horses and even some other few random animals that needed a soft landing (emus anyone? lol)
What else can I add? I’m grateful this rescue exists and it has already helped saved so many, these people are the best!

I love following and donating to this rescue. They are wise stewards of their money, but also don’t shy away from the hard, complicated and heartbreaking cases. This world is better with Rocking R in it ❤️❤️
I have participated in this deserving charity for several years. They are compassionate and skilled in rehabilitating horses, mules, donkeys and a handful of other types of animals. They rescue these animals from auctions and kill pens. They have excellent vet and farrier care to meet the special needs of these animals. They provide a forever home for the few that can’t be adopted. This is an incredibly devoted and competent group of staff and volunteers providing outstanding care and compassion.
From the bottom of the world in Aotearoa-New Zealand I discovered this amazing Rescue. Headed by Jen, Joy and Cameron the attend the sort of heart wrenching auctions I didn’t know existed. The fortitude of these women is beyond anything I have witnessed. They literally save the lives of the equines and other creatures that have found themselves in the worst possible conditions headed for sure death with meat buyers or worse. I follow this Rescue daily and am overwhelmed by their devotion to helping animals. The organisation required to run this rescue is done with no monetary gain for themselves - they hold down full times jobs at the same time. They have without doubt earned their place in Heaven.
I came across this by accident. I’ve been around horses off and on all my life, a few special ones even… but this rescue enabled me to see the soul beyond the flesh, and I will never have a superficial relationship with a horse ever again. Or a mini, a donkey, a mule, or God forbid, a kangaroo or emu. So who rescues who…
Rocking R Ranch and Rescue: I came upon this Rescue on FB as they were rescuing & eventually reunited a little family of horses that had been sold separately at auction. An emaciated Clydesdale stallion, his two emaciated mares & two two-week old foals! They had been separated not only from each other by different owners but also by states -three different states! Sadly, the Rescue was not able to win the family. However, after the auction was over, Jennifer, Co-founder of the Rescue, was haunted by the loss she witnessed in the Stallions eyes. She HAD to reunited them! This task was monumental to say the least but she did it! She started making phone calls... tracking down any little bit of information given to her. After a week she had found the Stallion! He was going to be at another auction down close by. Off she went! She brought him home to the Rescue and promised him his family would be back with him as soon as possible. She worked diligently to find the mares and babies and did not give up! Another week had passed and she did it! She found the mares and foals! The heart & compassion shown by just this ONE action stole my heart! The little family was finally reunited! Unfortunately, one mare was lost due to her illness but the foal was saved and transported to the rescue as an orphan yet the little family was so tight knit that the remaining mare took the foal as her own and feed BOTH babies all while emaciated herself! That miracle would not have happened if that for this special Rescue and the incredible people behind it! Angels on this Earth for sure! They were transparent and udderly honest about the situation of every rescue. Joy, the Rescue Founder, Jennifer and the MANY Volunteer give of themselves day in and day out to save those in need and give them the best possible life moving forward filled with love and security. They take in the ones that no one else would be willing to help or write off as not worth the effort. A life is a life! From broken necks, broken legs, angular deformaties to emaciation and wound care. Just "two Gals from Mississippi" have touch the lives of so many people around the world through their tenacity and "the hell we won't" attitude! They are a TRUE rescue! The real deal! If there is life and a will to live then there is Rocking R Ranch and Rescue!
This non profit rescues horses, donkeys, mules, and other animals from terrible circumstances. With the help of some wonderful veterinarians, farriers, volunteers, and donors, they nurse these animals back to health and give them the best lives possible. They share pictures, videos and Information on the health and well-being of the animals in their care and they are very diligent about the high quality of homes and people who adopt them when they are healthy. They operate with the highest level of transparency possible so that donors know how their money is being spent. I started following RRRR many years ago and I’ve never seen so many animals in need helped. They literally take the most neglected horses and turn them in to gems! These ladies stop at nothing. If the local vet can’t help they take them to MSU veterinarian school. They will not stop trying until they have exhausted all possibilities. They love them enough to let them go if needed but honestly they try everything in their power to help. They are the best!
This rescue never gives up on the horses they rescue. The love and compassion they have for all animals is remarkable. They help by rescuing all kinds of animals from auctions where they likely be sold to kill buyers., emus, kangaroos, Horses, dogs etc. Many of the animals are neglected and in their hands they blossom into beautiful souls.
Where to start!! Jenn and Joy and their crew are all angels on earth for animals. Jenn has an ability to just connect with horses. She knows which horse to put with another to help them to learn just to be horses.
They do not limit themselves to just horses. There is NO animal that they turn away. They have saved several different species of animals and they all live amongst others. The love they have for animals in need just radiates from them. They have been ridecued by some for saving an animal and within a month or so that animal is doing great! They have a village that follows them and the whole village trust their decisions on what needs to be done. I truly believe if you asked every one of us village if we would be beside them in every decision, it would be a unanimous ABSOLUTLEY!!!! The photo i included was Jenn saying goodbye to a wonderful little girl who had not had the help she needed when she was born. Jenn gave her every day to love life and live like she didn't have 3 bad legs. She promised Micki she would not let her suffer. And she kept her word. You need to see her story to understand why Jenn laid there with Micki until she was sure that Micki had crossed the rainbow Bridge and was running and kicking all over heaven.

This rescue is the real deal. They put 150% of themselves into ever single life that they save. They go above and beyond to help as many as they possible can, and treat them with nothing but compassion, dignity, and unmeasurable love.
The Rocking R Ranch is a truly amazing rescue, they take in any animal that is in need of help, mostly discarded animals people don't care enough to care for, an aging or lame horse, they do everything possible to give them the best possible chance of a pain free life. Love them so much!
Very transparent, very good communications! Their finances are available for the asking; receipts are given for donations, and shown when there is a fundraiser going on for a specific purpose. They adhere to their purpose and goals, and if there are any questions, they are answered in a polite, professional manner. Matters that should be kept private are. Visits are available by appointment. Having dealt with several less-than-reputable rescues-Rocking R Ranch and Rescue is a breath of fresh air.
I have worked in nonprofit basically my entire career so I can spot the best easily. Rocking R is transparent, committed and walks the talk. They rescue the ones no one else wants and give them every chance possible. They work tirelessly rehabbing animals in their care. In some cases they become adoptable but so many wind up having to stay because of their individual situations. The rescue is very transparent about their expenses and funds raised. Everyone knows and is very comfortable supporting their cause. I own horses of my own and have several pets that are rescues so I speak from a platform of knowledge from that perspective as well. You will not regret supporting this organization. There aren’t many around this good.
This group cares about their animals in such a beautiful way. They take in horses people might not even give a second glance at and give them the most love. Their work is worthy of any support anyone can provide.

This rescue is at most of the auctions looking for the horses that will not go to a forever home. They diligently care and love the ones they rescue. Rocking R Rescue always keeps you up to date on the rescues so you can see their progress. All the animals are happy and healthy.
Rocking R does an amazing job rescuing and rehabbing horses from bad situations as well as pulling from auction those in danger of slaughter. They do an amazing job matching horses with people and really love these animals and want the best for them. I love my Rocking R rescue horses!

Rocking R Ranch & Rescue Inc are simply AMAZING!! We first met them when we were having a Scammer Hauler with a Load of Ponies from Kentucky to Arizona! They stepped in, no questions asked and helped and mentored us until our load finally got to Arizona. That was a Bad Lesson Learned... But a BLESSING to MEET these Gals and the Rescue. That was well over 5 years ago, and I have followed and donated to them ever since. If there was ever humans that would earn gold stars, it would be these gals and this rescue. They have done, and continue to do more for more animals, Equines, Cattle, Exotics (if needed), Starvation Cases, and Cruelty Cases. How they do it all is Amazing!! I definetely recommend them, their team, their Mission and we stand behind them 500%. Rocking R Ranch and Rescue are Angels to animals with no Voice... THEY ARE their VOICE!!
