Mission: Land conservation and preservation
Programs: During 2017 the rochester land trust continued stewardship of 631 acres of conservation land owned and under conservation restrictions at the beginning of 2017. Also during 2017 the rochester land trust purchased, with the help of a grant from the buzzards bay national estuary program by way of the town of rochester, an 18 acre parcel of undeveloped forested land on the mattapoisett river. The new acquisition will be permanently protected as conservation land in keeping with the land trust's mission.
