Programs: Public policy development and education on issues relating to the health of connecticut's rivers and related water resources. Included are 1) collaborative initiatives with the ct instream flow coalition, the ct environmental policy working group, the league of conservation voters education fund, the ct dept. Of environmental protection, the us environmental protection agency, and the us geological survey 2) two-day conferences on streamflow sponsored with yale university center for coastal and watershed systems. 3) maintenance of website and e-mail service for news on policy issues. Assistance and information to ct groups/individuals working to preserve and restore connecticut's rivers, streams and, aquifers. Includes telephone and e-mail "help line," presentations to civic groups, distributions of material on how to build organizational strength and educational material on prudent conservation practices, on-site visits and, advice participation in local, state, regional, and national water-resource conferences and meetings.
