Mission: The mission of the Riverhead Business Improvement District (BID) is to expand sustainable economic activity in historic downtown Riverhead, create and expand business, and develop jobs for community residents. This website is managed by the Riverhead BID Management Association, which was established by the Town of Riverhead to foster downtown revitalization and economic development while maintaining its unique sense of community. The BID aims to improve business for merchants, bring additional foot traffic and customers to historic Downtown Riverhead (DTR), attract additional merchants that will complement and advance the commercial landscape, and create a vibrant and mixed use neighborhood. Through this website, events, advertising and marketing efforts, and more, the BID will raise awareness of DTR’s cultural, economic, tourism, and commercial happenings and potential, while honoring the unique and diverse community.

The Riverhead Business Improvement District proudly represents the unique and diverse community of downtown Riverhead. Through events, marketing, digital and networking, the BID raises awareness of cultural, economic and tourism initiatives and actively engages in revitalization activity.
The BID has an incredibly positive impact on our town. It has transformed Main Street with many new and exciting businesses. Because of the BID's efforts, I see our town becoming a major tourist destination while still maintaining that country feel of the North Fork.

Not only are our events such as Alive on 25, Cardboard Boat Race, Halloween Festival and the Holiday Bonfire, making a positive impact on our community, our dedication to refuse removal, the branding and marketing of our Downtown and obtaining grants is helping to progress our revitalization.
