Target demographics: The ANIMALS and their People
Direct beneficiaries per year: 300+ Animals both Domestic and Wild
Geographic areas served: Low-Income Area's
Programs: Free Spay/neuter,Providing Pet (and some People) Food to indidgent, sickly, and/or un-careing owners so they can keep Pets out of local Kill Shelter; sometimes "fostering in place" if neglect is only food related until space can be found. Referalls to low cost Vertrinary Clinics. Education on individual basis - case by case and through our informal yet very popular "ANIMAL CAMP" which targets youth. And COMMUNITY OUTREACH which includes above Programs but also understanding and acceptance of Feral/Community Cats and Urban Wildlife etc., etc.We also participated in changing Kenner's "Feeding Ban" in Court and won this round; Feral Caretakers are no longer threatened, ticketed or arrested. And Abuse and/or neglect by Individuals or ACO's continue's our constant fight against injustic.
