River of Refuge isn't just a transitional housing program, it's a family. The bond that is formed between the members of the program and the staff is one of love and support. While in the programs the families get their basic necessities tended too but also their hearts. Being homeless is such a lonely and isolating experience and the families are offered not only stability but also community which is so important to reestablishing confidence. This program is a blessing in the Kansas City community.
