Ripple of One actually creates sustainable change! They take a personal approach to support complete lifestyle changes in whole families. I've never seen an organization tackle generational poverty and the behaviors and mindsets connected to it so quickly and so effectively. It's sustainable because they use the community through volunteers!
Ripple is a comprehensive program to come alongside homeless persons who are willing to work hard to break out of the mold of that in which they have grown up. What a blessing it has been to see them learn, grow and apply life skills.
This is one of the most effective programs in the US to help motivated families get off of welfare and be self sufficient with new level of confidence...Very successful for the adults as well as children of all ages..Dave Eldridge, Seneca SC

Ripple of One
It is very gratifying to see a charity help people help themselves. They are teaching the children many practical skills that they will need in their everyday life and also throwing in a little empathy for others. Our organization was very pleased to be able to contribute to such a worthy cause.
I have been hearing about Ripple of One for several years and think what they are doing is wonderful. I began 3 years ago designating my United Way contribution to Ripple of One because I believe so strongly in what they are doing. Reading the stories of those who have joined the program and worked hard to become independent of government assistance is so inspiring. I am happy to see my contribution be put to such good use!
I have been volunteering with Ripple for nearly a year as a Financial Coach. The program design is absolutely top-notch. It thoroughly addresses most all aspects of the clients' needs, including financial, parenting/family, education, career and emotional care so that they can achieve financial independence. The Ripple Team provides resources, support and encouragement for the client during their journey, most of which the client has never had access to. The program evolves as it grows to continually adapt to client needs and accomplishment of their mission. I am proud to be associated with this organization.
Imagine being held under water. The oxygen in your blood is waning. All you desire is a breath of air. "Someone... please help" races through your mind over and over. Night after night the nightmare replays on a continuous loop. You just want air but don't know how to get out from under the hand that holds you under. Ripple of One is that breath of hope. Ripple of One empowers those held hostage by the hands of poverty and frees them. The victim becomes the survivor and the survivor becomes the life line to the next victim and so the ripple continues to reach more and more individuals.
What an amazing organization... they don't just hand out money and food and say, "Good luck". They take single parents and their children in and nourish them. Adults are given the opportunity to attend schools and earn their degree. Mentors teach both adults and their children how to manage their money... how to save, pay off debt and budget. The process is ongoing for many months with constant involvement from mentors (volunteers). The end result... a self sustaining, confident adult who is now able to fully take care of his/her family completely free of all government assistance. WOW! They give back and pay it forward. Truly this is what government assistance SHOULD look like. Best stated by the Chinese philosopher Lao Tzu, "Give a man a fish and you feed him for a day. Teach him how to fish and you feed him for a lifetime”.
Ripple of One has exploded in Seneca SC and the surrounding area. The community has embraced the value and importance of Ripple of One's mission with undeniable support through its fundraising efforts. They don't just chat about success... they reek of it. I am proud to be a supporter of this organization. It is truly a GREAT organization.
I’ve been working with Ripple for 2 years, collaborating to serve their families. It’s a great organization to work with and they are having a positive impact on an entire community!
Ripple of One has been such a great success story, in such a short period of time. Unlike our government donation of money to people in need, Ripple works with their clients to change their lives for the better. In addition to money, Ripple works with the client to teach them financial responsibility and how to manage their lives.
