Mission: Provide for spiritual, physical, and emotional needs of hurting children and families through services of care and housing for troubled and abused children, assistance and charitable giving to families in crisis, and support for other family needs. Care is provided in a manner consistent with christian conduct and principles.
Programs: Rio grande children's home provided care for 96 foster children, ages birth to 17 years, by providing three nurturing campus foster homes, nine community foster homes and three adoptive homes designed to specifically meet the children's medical, emotional, behavioral, and physical needs. Three foster families live in rgch-owned cottages. 7 children in the foster care program were adopted. Foster parents receive support, training and resources to provide a consistent home environment for children who are in state's custody and have been abused, neglected or abandoned.
