Wonderful place in all respects :) The people are helpful, knowledgeable and friendly. The horses are healthy and beautiful. Our granddaughter has gone on several enjoyable trail rides and is currently taking lessons there.

Our Girl Scout Troop has worked with Ride A Rescue several times over the last few years. They have done everything from creating a program specifically for our older girls to learn in depth about the care of horses to earn a skilled badge to teaching our younger girls just the basics for a fun patch. ALL of our girls (about 30) have enjoyed the beautiful trail rides! Some of them were terrified to get on a horse, but the volunteers really knew what they were doing & helped ease them into it, now they can't stop talking about it! These horses are so loved & cared for by people just pouring their heart into volunteering all their extra time to make sure these horses have the life they deserve!

I think Ride-a-Rescue is a wonderful organization. Not only are they helping horses find a home and being taken care of but they help us. I had been thrown from my horse and busted my hip into pieces. After surgery and re-hab, I contacted Sheila to see if she could help me get back up on a horse. With Sheila's expert guidance and patience, I progressed from just sitting on a horse, to walking, to a trot and finally out on the trails. I can never thank her enough!

My husband and I have been on trail rides all over North Carolina and Virginia. Hands down this is our favorite. The folks are friendly and knowledgeable. The horses are gentle and well kept. The trails are perfect for the beginner or seasoned rider alike. Our only problem is that we don't live close enough to go as often as we would like!

For the last two years we have had our daughter’s birthday party here. The staff have been very helpful and considerate with all the kids that attended. Everyone that comes always says that they had such a good time and how nice and helpful everyone was.

This group is so amazing in their love of these horses. My daughter took lessons, and eventually leased a horse during the several years we volunteered. My daughter suffers from anxiety. Her confidence in herself grew by leaps in bounds around these horses and the staff and volunteers. i truly think God put them in our path. We volunteered to help the horses, but received as much from this group as we gave.

This place is truly awesome! My boyfriend and I went for an hour long trail ride back in April and we couldn't have asked for a better experience. All of the people working were extremely knowledgeable, patient and very kind. Even after finishing a 1 hour ride before ours, they were excited and ready to go right back out.The horses all seemed happy and very much so loved. The property itself is beautiful and well kept. This is how this should be done. Going to take my nieces soon , I know they will love it too! Keep up the good work

I wanted to get away for a week with my teenage boys .Away from the electronics and in and around nature.I had planned daily activities where we could be together and share an experience. This by far was their favorite activity. The staff were very kind and friendly and obviously loved what they do. The ride was very affordable and the countryside fabulous.I felt good knowing that the money we spent was going to help the rescued hoses. They are well loved.

Great day out. Everyone was great. Their concern for our safety as well as the safety of the horses was heartwarming. We were a large group of 8 and we had a great trail ride. Scenery was beautiful, everyone was friendly. Great all around. Thank you!

My daughter, Jordan, took lessons at Ride A Rescue. She loved it! She learned how to care for a horse, ride, become more confident, and spend time with animals. I highly recommend taking lessons here and supporting this great cause with volunteerships and donations.
