Revive Life House “making a difference “
I love the passion I see from the people who work here. I see it in the men that have come through the program. I hear it in testimony. Keep fighting the good fight. Reclaiming the one!

I have the pleasure of being able to help Revive with their employee benefits. In working with them it is evident that the staff cares deeply about their employees, residents, and most importantly their mission. Each person is there because they want to help and want to make a difference. Organizations like Revive are such a critical component to getting to the root of an epidemic plaguing Kentucky families.
My son has suffered from drug addiction since he was thirty years old. He was a police officer and was wrestling with a suspect trying to arrest him and tore the meniscus in his right knee. He had to have surgery on the knee and the workman’s comp doctor didn’t do a very good job with the surgery. He was still in pain and had to go back to work or lose his job so his doctor put him on Percocets so he could relieve the pain and return to work. He took them for three years and then the doctor took him off of them and he realized he was hooked. His life went downhill from there. He lost his job, lost his wife and family, stole from all of us to feed his habit. Stole from anyone else when he was desperate to get his fix. After dealing with this for about ten years, and alienating everyone who loved him, but could not tolerate his abuse and manipulation, he spent a winter homeless and sleeping in his truck. We worried he would freeze to death but were unable to do anything to help him. If we gave him money we were enabling him, and we were at the end of our rope with him. We had spent a fortune sending him to court ordered treatment facilities etc. we had even tried an intervention where the family got together and begged him to go seek treatment before he died or spent the rest of his life in prison. He went for help and signed himself out of that facility after two weeks. He was involved in several accidents and totaled three vehicles within a years time. The last one he hit another vehicle head on. The other couple was not injured by my son had multiple fractures of his lower leg and broken his foot and nearly lost his leg from lack of blood flow to that area. The EMTs were able to get him to a hospital in time to save the leg, but he will have rods and screws in his leg and foot from now on. His lifestyle continued to deteriorate. He married and divorced again. He finally ended up in jail for four months and was facing a prison sentence. He spent a lot of that time in “the hole”, (solitary confinement). He lost about 25 pounds while he was incarcerated. He was mad at me for not bailing him out and I quit going to see him because he was so angry and full of hate toward me and his family. He blamed everyone but himself for the mess he had made of his life. After four months in jail, and finally deciding he had had enough, he called me from jail and asked me to get in touch with his social worker and arrange for him to be sent somewhere away from where he lived. He knew if he didn’t get away from his buddies, he’d be right back out and using again shortly. I called the social worker. She was able to arrange to get him a bed in Revive Lifehouse in Lexington. We had very little faith he’d stay since this was his fourth or fifth time to be checked into a treatment facility. But he finally had hit bottom and knew if he didn’t get help, he was gonna die of an overdose or someone would kill him for stealing from them or he was going to prison. After a week at Revive, he accepted the Lord and was saved and baptized. He went through their seven month program and graduated and Revive helped him to find a job and get his life back. He has been clean for three years now and is working with other addicts, paying it forward. I thank God every day for Revive Lifehouse and the difference they have made in my sons life. They are a very loving, caring group of people. The addicts feel that love and respond to it. I had a professor in college who told us “people don’t care how much you know, til they know how much you care.” I can attest to that. Addicts can pick up on a false sense of caring as opposed to the real thing very fast. Revive is a Christian based program that I would recommend to anyone with an addiction who genuinely wants help getting sober and getting their life back. They saved my son’s life, in more ways than one.
Revive Has Been a blessing for our family. They took a young man that had years of addiction in and out of rehab and jail! Gave him the love and prayers and encouragement no one else had .. They loved him through his addiction,Showed him how to Love himself! All with the help of Our Lord, and with his help my Daughter was also restored! Now that young man is our Son in law. Our Daughter is happier than she has ever been. And the blessings just keep coming ! Thank you Jesus for Revive.. watching them grow in there marriage and church is a blessing to us. They are continuing to pay it forward by their work with Revive! I will forever be grateful for God’s Grace and Revive Life. Praying for the Lord to keep blessing this wonderful organization ♥️
It has been decades of addiction, a total of roughly 4,000 days of prison sentences, and the lives of many people unnecessarily being hurt and traumatized because of who I was....
… While in Revive I experienced first an outpouring of selfless love from all the staff. To be honest it was at first kind of foreign but as I learned how to trust I opened up and received. I received a very rounded course of treatment for my life long addiction issues. The clinician that worked with me was able to get at traumatic wounds I buried for years from my childhood. We were able to expose and deal with them and behind that came healing. Through in depth classes teaching about addiction and recovery I learned a great deal about how and why people become addicted and more importantly how to live differently to counter the behaviors and patterns of addiction. Looking back it was the pivotal moment in my life where "EVERYTHING" changed. I have given my heart and life to Christ Jesus since walking through the doors of Revive. Now it is my deepest desire to share what has been freely given to me to others. Mission accomplished: this "ONE" is reclaimed !!! Thank you Revive !!!!
I would like to impart some words of support to Revive Life House. I know first hand that what is offered at Revive is life changing. Not only in my now husbands life who went through the program but in "my" life by way of following the course of my husband's new walk in Christ. My husband and I were in darkness tragically addicted and in full blown chaos for years. Through surrender and the Revive program my husband and I now have a beautiful life full of Restoration , Grace and Love. Thank you Revive ! Reclaiming "THE ONE" has changed the trajectory of many lives and many more lives to come all for His Glory !!! Thank you Jesus !!!
The Revive Ministries are truly a blessing! A little over three years ago, I dropped my son-in-law off at the front of Revive. I prayed all the way in on my drive to work that he would get through the front door. Through Revive, he has met some truly great people and has made a lot of friends that continue to study the word of God, work the program, enjoy some fellowship and he is helping other men that have entered the house after him. With God’s help, Revive Ministries, a lot of praying and the continued mentoring, my daughter and son-in-law are now part of the Revive team, helping others and living successful lives with a precious son, who is a true miracle from God. Thank you Revive and to all of those that have continued to help, not only my son-in-law, but countless others who have lived in those dark depths of hell. God bless you all!
Revive is a life changing organization. I had a chance to visit their facilities and spend time with different Revive leaders and staff members. I left inspired to support their efforts. More importantly, I left knowing God was moving through Revive.
Finally, the time came when someone I love was prepared to enter treatment. It was time to see Revive in action…and it was action.
The intake team has that certain something. That something that calms the intensity without minimizing the life changing tension, the tension that gets results. Literally, from bus station to bedside, I always felt confident in their ability.
I’ve looked deep into their process. And it’s amazing. Not just for those seeking recovery and their families. Revive is great for the community. It’s nothing short of God’s call in action.
Revive has truly been a blessing to our family! Through the love and faithfulness of our Lord Jesus Christ, my sister and her husband were led to Revive where they weren't only healed of their addiction but both now thrive as team members of the Revive family. I will be the first to admit, with great shame, after years of pleading with them to get help, that I had given up hope. But God hadn't. Through his grace, he restored their family and today I am so very proud of them both. I thank God that not only did I get my sister back, but I also gained a brother. Thank you Revive for all you do, and I pray that God continues to bless you and so many others.
Revive has been such an amazing help for my family. Revive has changed my son-in-law by giving him the tools he needs to care and love my daughter and his beautiful family. His addiction will always be apart of him but because of Revive and the love of Jesus, he is now free from the person he once was.
Revive is a excellent program that strives to help men transform their lives. They go over and beyond to do this. My husband never experienced rehab and was an addict for over 20 years. For the first time in life he was sober with the help of Revive and received excellent therapeutic services while in inpatient to deal with root problems. My husband is currently incarcerated and it’s been almost two years since he graduated from Revive. The staff continues to stay in contact with my husband and have been such a blessing to him and our family. They genuinely care for the clients they work with.
i worked 25 years in many social service organizations and followed Jesus for 19 years.
I lasted 2 months
Occasionally in my professional life I witnessed people weaponize and misuse counseling techniques to justify their own ways. Also as a Christian, I have seen people weaponize and misuse Scripture to self justify. As part of Revive staff I watched them weaponize both and teach and reinforce others to do the same. The view themselves as a family and everyone else is an In-law. The will cherry pick scripture and distort their own self righteous , self serving ways. They are exploiting the the most weak and vulnerable to access financial compensation from Medicaid and SNAP benefits...your individual contributions will not go to direct services. Clients are exploited for cheap to free labor in conflict with multiple regulatory board ethics and state and federal guidelines. The staff has inappropriate and dual relationships with clients in which the staff and church benefits in exchange for treatment. and if anyone complains, they are just declared mentally ill or demonic or both. Clients were told "if you don't like it go back to jail" They may be well intentioned , by calling this work exploitation, "community service" or "internships", but the bottom line is they benefit by contributions and actual services and those that do not comply are denied medical treatment. If Staff tries to discuss, this, no matter their years of experience or community spiritual bono fides..you will go in 24 hours form "a great asset" "I hear so many good things " to "I see a lot of red flags with you.
it is just a bunch of people getting their own financial and emotion needs met by calling something "ministry". They see themselves on a special mission from God , that super-cedes anything in the Bible that may disagree and nay evidenced based practice or ethical guideline.
The organization is full of more people "called to preach the word" than Asbury Seminary and SouthernBaptist Seminary combined.. hey have more "gifted discerners of the sprit" than a dozen Benny Hinn conventions. They are all so pure and "uncorrupted by the modern church".
With all this (self) righteousness s and Grace an Wisdom...I am surprised a great awakening has not occurred in the community.. ..it is the most top heavy of any place i have ever worked , save State government... your contributions will help ensure senior management has several offices, travel expense, patio furniture and other needs met... it will not go to direct services for the vulnerable needy folks being shamed and brainwashed and tossed aside if they complain
