I've been donating monthly to this organization for a couple years. They are a great ministry and I have had no issues with their promotions. I received two different promotions on two separate occasions. I love how the ministry is reaching others through relevant media outlets and yet tries to stay true to the gospel of Jesus.
Fool me once... First contact with this organization was during their initial work on "Dangerous Journey", an animated retelling of John Bunyan's Pilgrim's Progress. While the animation is well-done enough, it leaves much to be desired in terms of literary faithfulness. When the theatrical release came out, my wife and I took two of our grandsons to a screening; their takes were telling: "Papaw, they left out ..." and then a litany of what had been left out in comparison to a similar animated version they had seen a number of times at our home.
More telling is that RM sent several promos to my email box, offering "gifts" in consideration of contributions toward the initial costs of producing and distributing the film in theaters; which gifts we would likely have given even without inducements. Sadly the inducements never arrived, even after prompting via email.
Now come yet MORE promos, with similar inducements, and a now similar lack of confidence in the likelihood of said gifts ever to see the inside of our home. Fool me twice? I don't think so. At least not until I see some indication that my gift will have a better return on investment than earlier such donations with a promise of a product in the future.
Not to mention that the entire enterprise is based on the idea that the completion of the project with provide "a complete Bible education in three weeks!
I'll need to apply to the seminary from which I obtained 2 degrees after seven years of study to obtain a thorough biblical education for from kind of a refund, although I have about as much hope of receiving that as I do of ever getting anything except more solicitations from Revelation Media.
