Causes: Education, Scholarships, Scholarships & Student Financial Aid
Mission: By providing the needed funds, RAP helps and encourages the students of the East Los Angeles community to get an education. The ultimate goal of RAP is to get these students to utilize the education they have received to help their community grow.
Results: Accomplishments 1. Successful recruitment of 3 RAP recipients. Schools being attended: East LA Community College, Cal Poly Los Angeles, University of California at Santa Barbara 2. All of our recipients are maintaining solid grades and showing progress in college.
Target demographics: Returning a Promise gives scholarships to students attending Roosevelt High School in East Los Angeles who wish to enroll in a college or university.
Geographic areas served: Los Angeles
Programs: Each year the RAP board of directors select a new recipient from the graduating class of Roosevelt high school. This recipient receives $3000 each year until their college education is finished.
