ReTHink is a vital part of the Terre Haute community – a visionary organization pushing new and innovative ideas and engaging our community in activities and programs to combat climate change and make our community more sustainable.
Rethink does such great work with kids in the community, teaching them how to garden and grow their own food, and also as a community leader in the journey to zero waste and a sustainable lifestyle.
I have been an advisor to reTHink from its inception. reTHink fills many needs in our community that have been neglected in the past.
reTHink helps integrate the community into everything that they do. That includes the local educational institutions. They have helped provide internships and experiential learning for our local college students, high school students, middle school, and elementary. reTHink has become a vital resource for educating our local students and providing them with real-world experiences related to urban agriculture, sustainable practices, business projects, and community-building.
Rethink Inc has provided many benefits to our community including; dedicated and challenging work to establish plastic recycling services in a community which has had few local options other than dumping plastics & adding to pollution and environmental hazards, educating our community on the importance of recycling and providing information that is practical and comprehensive, community garden to provide fresh produce in an area with few affordable options for fresh food, welcoming local artists and craft makers to share their works with the community, offering economical and environmentally safe products for home and hygiene care, and more. Our community overall has had a history of low level participation re; recycling and making environmentally responsible choices. Rethink has brought us "user friendly" services and information to encourage positive change in a "down to earth" manner --excuse the pun:).
ReTHink has made a meaningful impact on the Terre Haute community. Every community needs an organization that cares about sustainability and the lifestyle that demands.
ReThink Inc. is a great non-profit that promotes recylcing and working with kids to grow their own food. I have been impressed with the small local gardens that ReThink has developed in neighborhoods in need in Terre Haute. My kids joined one of her Salsa Club events to make their own salsa from fresh garden vegetable that they grew and they loved the experience.
I have been a part of ReThink for several years. From their unique Replay Runway fundraiser to working in the gardens, getting to help better a community through gardens and the new resources like the zero-waste store is something I am proud to take part in! I'm excited to see how the new plastics recycling will go too! Great things are in store for the Terre Haute community!
I volunteer as an engineering consultant for reTHink, Inc. They maintain six community gardens with pollinator plants, herbs, fruits, and vegetables. They also have a zero-waste store where people can buy zero-waste items like compostable bags and bamboo toothbrushes. They also collect plastic from the community and up-cycle it into art and useful items. I love this organization and all of the people in it. The leaders and volunteers are resourceful, hardworking, and always relentlessly looking for new ways to reach out and assist the surrounding community.
reTHink is doing incredible work within the Terre Haute community. The Hope garden grows fresh produce for families in the areas who may not have access to fresh produce otherwise. There are free cooking classes offered every Wednesday to teach children and adults how to cook healthy, delicious meals. reTHink is educating, encouraging, and assisting the Terre Haute community in becoming healthier and more sustainable for our current citizens and for those to come.
Rethink invites citizens of all ages and backgrounds to thoughtfully consider their engagement with resources. This organization promotes making incremental changes that empower responsibility, conservation, and healthy living. Rethink is changing the world.
Such a great resource for our community! I am so proud of what this organization has become. From growing produce for the community to holding free cooking classes, this organization will continue to grow.
Rethink has been a great inspiration, and a valuable resource for me and my family and this community! I could not be more great full for the opportunities and passion and the amazing gardens provided by Rethink! My children and I moved here from out of town just to be more involved with this wonderful company, and to help volunteer with the gardens! We love it so much! Under priviledged youth have a wonderful and loyal friend in Rethink Inc. Gardening, cooking, recycling, reuse, repurposing, and respect are all attributes honed by Rethink. The community is all the richer for the efforts of this priceless organization.
Rethink Inc is a fantastic organization. It promotes both a green lifestyle as well as teaching sustainability to the public. Shikha B. is the director and has helped create five gardens in the Ryves Neighborhood. One of these gardens is at Ryves Youth Center where Rethink staff and volunteers teach weekly gardening and salsa making classes. Rethink has truly made a positive impact in the Terre Haute.
