LOVE RSM!!! Great staff and they care so deeply for the community. It is always a pleasure shopping there. When I worked in Mesa I referred lots of people to them and I always got good reports back about thier experience. One Veteran in particular needed a walker as he had a stroke and RSM totally hooked him up! I can’t say enough positive things a about this organization.
I have worked with Bill and his team for three years and am so impressed with what they are able to do to serve so many. Bill and his team are tireless at striving to take care of those in need and one of my fondest memories is during a Senior Tuesday event, Bill and his team had put together a birthday celebration for one of their clients that was turning 100. Not only did she get a crown, royal cake and other goodies, but a brand new wheel chair!
Bill and his crew stepped up in no time when he heard we were trying to feed our colleagues in the music industry . The gig workers: sound and lights, fork lift drivers, stage hands,,,they were and are in need. 42 car drive throughs later, thanks to Resurrection Street Ministry 50,000 meals were provided to those in need. We at Musically Fed are so very grateful to Bill and his team for their unbelievable support. Add to that, he has taught me and our team so much!
Through my work with Musically Fed, I have had the pleasure of getting to know Bill and his team at Resurrection Street Ministry over the past year and a half. They are truly passionate about their mission of caring for their neighbors and do so much for the homeless, veteran, senior citizen, and low income communities.
Bill's kindness and generosity shines through each time I interact with him and it's so obvious that he and his organization truly care for the people they serve. I am honored to have a working relationship with them.
The Valley’s only daily food bank and clothing pantry! This place feeds and clothes over 5000 of our less fortunate neighbors every month!
The thrift store is loaded with the best inventory, all proceeds go directly to improve the lives of those in need!
What an incredible ministry, they feed thousands of less fortunate Arizonans each and every month! They have a senior and Veterans food bank that provides food and toiletries to folks in need! The staff is all volunteers and have a heart to serve.
My community service club (Mesa Thunderbird Lions) have worked with RSM for several years, and our members are constantly amazed at the number of individuals who are provided with essential food and other humanitarian supportive services by RSM. This non-profit provides much needed services to our community.
RSM is the missing link for a lot of the east valley people. It is always there to fill the need no matter if it's food for the disabled veterans, senior citizens, needy or school age children. They provide backpacks and school supplies for many needy children in school. RSM doesn't know the meaning of can't. If they are asked to help in numerous manners they always find a way to help out whether it's the youth, senior citizens or disabled people the answer is always yes.
Have walked hand in hand and heart to heart with Bill through this wonderful experience in seeking God and giving all to aid and support so very many people. Under his leadership many people who need help in many diverse ways have been provided for, fed, found housing and teaching have benefitted from his heart for God. The many wonderful volunteers that give of their time and their love have helped so very many people each and every day. I appreciate all of their smiles, hard work and joyful attitudes. I feel blessed to share my time and knowledge in this great work...
I am into my 3rd year volunteering with RSM and this past year has really been a challenge. Since Covid so many people were out of work and in serious need of nutritious meals. RSM really stepped it up and made sure that anyone that wanted or needed food was taken care of. They even added more senior parks to have food delivered to. With Covid so many seniors were housebound afraid to go to the grocery store this is where RSM really took charge and made sure that they got food delivered directly to their homes.
RSM also does so much for the Veterans and the communities in the area. From helping to set up homes with much needed items to cooking for volunteers that beautify the many neighborhoods in the area. They are truely some very special people there.
I have been volunteering at the RSM food bank since last February and have increased my time serving because it is such a wonderful option for the community. Every Monday, Thursday and Saturday anyone can come for food assistance from the food bank. Also the 2nd Tuesday of every month is Senior (60+) and Veterans day where they receive full shopping carts of food and paper products. They are involved with veterans and help where needed, including rides to Doctor appointments, household and furniture items, clothing and help with other needs like mobility items. They are very active in the community cooking off site for volunteer projects, veterans and other community projects. The volunteers here are a wonderful group of people, very caring and friendly. I can't say enough good about them.
This is a charity I chose to support because I met Bill Berry and learned about his personal journey and how he now gives back to others through his efforts in RSM. His passion to lift and inspire others has inspired me and I am strong supporter of this work. Eric Peterson, Gilbert AZ.
I love RSM because the people involved are so helpful and ready to do anything for you. They have helped our lions club give to the Christmas Stocking project and our Christmas families by providing goodies and food, they give to the needy of the valley by providing food baskets and help the needy students in our schools by providing free breakfasts and school supplies. I don't know how we could help as many people as we do without the assistance of RSM. You rock!!!
Have known the founder for over 20 years. Have found that he is totally committed to helping others in any way possible. This organization fills needs (food, clothing, etc) in areas where no one else helps. Also gives “work experience” to those in recovery that help at the store and food bank. Great Organization.
I had job interview and didn't have a clue what wear, I walked in stuff thrift store in mesa and I asked this lady wearing a Santa claus suit and a beard. She found me a suit that was brand new, shoes, tie, dress shirt and socks. I did get the job and was definitely dressed for the position of office manager. I don't know her name but she was a great help.
My wife and I have really appreciated this place. They offer a lot of great items in their store and offer great services to the public in need. We really enjoy giving back to a company that gives back to its local community.
I love stopping at this thrift store! They get such a variety of merchandise weekly you never leave empty handed!
All the staff are so friendly and helpful!
My favorite store to shop!!
I always enjoy shopping at S.T.U.F.F Thrift Store. I have found beautiful and functional patio umbrellas and much more at very reasonable prices. The store is clean and well organized and the staff is friendly and helpful.
Hi my name is Sheryl , I Have been volunteering for RMS for several years now. The reason I continue to volunteer for RMS is their genuine desire to give back to the community, and provide for those in need in every way they can. Their dedication to the work their doing is self sacrificing, and relentless. Every person at RMS has a true heart to help. I am Director of a Ministry that helps the homeless and those in need, part of our developmental program is to teach the to give back as the have been given. So we support RMS because i believe their purpose is one of the few non profits the keep and express the desire to help with out personal gain , Its inspiring
This place is like growing up again the customer service here is genuine when I walk in it feels like I went into a time warp because it feels like home the things they have are things that are long forgotten but are still great to have the sharing of the food to those that are in need is a blessing to us all and then I see the up to date things at that point I realize this is where I am supposed to be...
Great place to volunteer. I am a student and this gives me a break from school. The staff members are a great group to work with. Great prices for clothing, furniture, appliances, electronics, glassware, toys, etc.
Great People! Serve the community well! You get to work with alot of awesome people and learn new things. Would recommend helping out here!
I am so proud of the Staff and Volunteers at Resurrection Street Ministry. Without their dedication the Veterans, Seniors, Homeless, Group Homes and Families would not be possible. I am honored to be a volunteer part of this great Ministry.
Having been involved with Resurrection since the beginning (2002) it is hard not to take an hour of time to expand on what all the people that have made this journey possible. Without the dedication of the thousands of volunteers that have (and many still are) a part of the team none of the things that have happened, and still are being done.
To think that from a closet in a church building could become a place where millions of people have been given more than 5,000,000 pounds of nutritional food, hundreds of thousand of pieces of clothing, thousands of household items, thousands of rides to Veterans and so much more for free to those in need.
We give praise to the Lord for all that was, is and will be there for those that come to Resurrection Street Ministry, S.T.U.F.F. Thrift Store, RSM Veteran Services, RSM Food Pantry and all the Associate agencies we partner with.
Hi I'm living in Scotland. I had a younger brother who was suffering from lung cancer living on his own in Arizona. We had intended on bringing him home to care for him but the virus got in the way . We couldn't get over there and could not get Jim home we were frantic. Who was going to help him through the toughest time . We found bill berry dont ask me how I'm sure it was meant to be . He fought Jim's corner for us taking him to hospital, getting him into a hospice just being with him with absoluate care and support . Our minds were at least lighter that way.he would not die alone . He then looked after his cremation and gathered any personnel belongings and Jim's ashes and sent them to his family . How do you thank people like this . Amazing that's all.i can say . God bless .
It’s wonderful how these people come together for the community. I love how they offer the food bank, and even more how friendly they are. I am very thankful for this organization.
This organization is great! They have food available for anyone Monday-Friday 10am-3pm. Always willing to help anyone in need.
The people who work here are super friendly and helpful. It is a fun place to shop and work. It is kept clean and neat. Improvements/changes are often made. There is always foodstuff at the front of the store for a free help yourself service. The commodities are nutritious. It is always fun to see what will be there. Prices are reasonable on the items for sale. Clothing and other things are clean and neat. It is convenient to my home so I can go there often. I have volunteered there in the past and found it a pleasant atmosphere to be in. Thanks for a job well done.
Our Mesa Thunderbird Lions Club have worked with the Resurrection Street Ministries for several years now and Bill Berry and all the others do go above and beyond to help the less fortunate in our city of Mesa!
We have helped them financially and with packing food boxes for those in need and it is very obvious that they are really helping our community!
John Rosenkrans, Past President of the Mesa Thunderbird Lions Club, Mesa, AZ
I was extremely impressed with how passionate they were about helping others. Any time I’m there I see how much they are truly helping the community. The staff is amazing and they truly inspire you to want to make a difference and help others!
While volunteering there I immediately noticed everyone’s passion for making a difference. They really get quality food to those in need on a weekly basis. They care for anyone struggling financially they even have special days that seniors and veterans can find essential items available for free. They are gracious and happy to help anyone struggling financial. I witness them giving many homeless individual clothes and or shoes from the store. Word can not describe this blessing.
It’s been a pleasure volunteer here and I am thankful for all the big hearts and hard workIng people I met. Keep up the awesome work everyone. Valerie, Dave, Dan, Bill, Lucky and all the volunteers. Thank you!
They are wonderful! They have a wonderful purpose. I love that they provide help to those who need it
Resurrection Street Ministry is doing a fabulous job in provided needed food to the homeless, low income people, and our seniors. Their staff is very dedicated and they take their responsibilities very seriously. Yet you can see that they enjoy serving others and meeting the needs of others. And they supersize their impact and reach through their vast network of volunteers. They are experts at engage their volunteers and getting them actively involving in the packing and delivery or food, but also in interacting with the public. There is an old quote, "People don't care how much you know, until the know how much you care." Resurrection Street Ministry truly has God in their hearts, as they minister to the vulnerable people in the greater Mesa area, in a caring and loving way.
I have volunteered at RSM for about 2 years now and have found that they are are an incredibly caring place to work. Everyone is like family, which in my case was recently tested. My husband passed away 15 days ago and all of my family is out of state. Had it not been for the love and kindness of my co-volunteers I don't think that I could have made it through. It isn't just me either, they show the same love and respect for any and all that come to RSM. I can't even imagine volunteering anywhere else. They are by far the best ever!
This ministrymeats needs to Of seniors veterans. With your food box ministry. Including drug and alcohol ministries. This ministry truly touches Arizona. I am grateful.Pastor Bob Goess
As a veteran I am been honored to volunteer for the past 3 years serving those in need. We provide medical transport for our veterans as well as equipment, furniture, or clothing. Also food for our local community is offered over 10 days each month. Knowing that our neighbors will not go hungry puts joy in our hearts
Resurrection Street Ministry has helped thousand of people achieve an improved quality of life thanks to the efforts of the volunteers and staff that serve selflessly.
RSM also does so much for our veterans through the Disabled American Veterans organization and also seniors.
I'm humbled to be one of the volunteers and am so glad to help those in need.
Today was my first experience with them at STUFF Thrift store. Let me just say they made it a very pleasant and smooth experience. They were very kind, helpful, and generous. My family was provided with nutritious foods we can actually eat. We will definitely be coming back in the future. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts!
This place has an incredible mission and the workers there truly care! They make a real effort to make a positive difference in the community!
Everyone is so friendly and uplifting in the store. I will definitely be back.
What an amazing ministry! Every single volunteer is unbelievably kind and caring. It shows in the services provided to those less fortunate. All are treated with compassion and thoughtfulness no matter what tribulations they are going through. Probably the best experience I’ve had in Arizona when it comes to providing hope and essential items for people in need. ❤️
This non profit organization is awesome! The people are truly so kind, and do all of this work from the kindness of their heart!
Would 10/10 recommend!
Hands down one of the best places! Everyone here is volunteering time from their heart to make sure the thousands of families, seniors and veterans are fed each month. It is one big family.
