This is an amazing group that does work few others are willing to take on - they care for special needs dogs! The love they have for these pups is evident. The care they provide is top notch. They attend events with their ambassadors to help people understand these pups may be different, but they are not less. The pets in their care are loved like family and for those eligible for adoption, they ensure they go to the best possible homes. My husband and I adopted a special needs dog from Rescued Rollers. They made sure we were familiar with our dog’s condition and knew how to properly care for him. He is the love of our lives, and we are now and forever part of the Rescued Rollers family. If you love animals, this is an amazing group to support!
I have volunteered for Rescued Rollers for about 4 years.
In this time I have learned more about Rescued Rollers and the kind of organization they are. John is amazing at what he does and what he provides for these wonderful dogs. I have been able to watch and learn so much from him.
I got to witness this while going on the call with Jordy the Australian shepherd. He has an understanding for these dogs and gives them patience, love and gains their trust. He then watches them come out of the shell they have embraced for so long. This is the beginning of them learning to trust in humans again.
These dogs have amazing souls. Whether they are without a limb, a displaced bone, loss of hearing and/or eyesight, and things we cannot see such as seizures, diabetic, and trust in humans, they are truly wonderful dogs. These dogs are loving, kind and want a chance. These deserve a chance!! Just because They Are DIFFERENT, does NOT make them Less!!!!
Rescued Rollers will provide fosters with everything they need to do the absolute best with one of their dogs. This includes training if needed on medications, or to put them in or out of a cart made specifically for them or whatever their special need is. John is a phone call away for a foster with a question or a concern. YOU as the foster provide the love and happy home for them.
With special needs dogs, alot of them will require more funds that a rescue dog without special needs. While you try and raise funds or get donations in, there is always added expenses that you have come up unexpectedly. Every little bit helps keep this rescue going to help wonderful dogs that might need something more. AND, every FOSTER allows them to possibly help another that would otherwise might not get a chance.
I love being a volunteer with Rescued Rollers and getting to meet, play with, and take care of the dogs anyway that I can help.

Rescued Rollers is a wonderful animal rescue. The helped us adopt our Golden Retriever Ted and made the process so easy and yet thorough. They provide ongoing support and assistance whenever I have a question or concern. The care that they show for the animals (and fosters and adopters) is nothing short of amazing. Can't recommend them heartily enough!
We have had the pleasure of volunteering as fosters for five successful adoptions and one hospice case. Rescued Rollers works hard day in and day out to support it's community, assist with dogs that other rescues may turn away, and supporting it's fosters.
John and the Rescued Rollers team go above and beyond!
We have worked with Rescue Rollers from the beginning. We help with transportation of supplies and pups. We adopted Honey from them and we also helped foster a few pups for them. Every penny that is given to the rescue goes directly to the care of the animals. The dogs that they take in need expensive medical help.
Even dogs that are at the end of their journey get the best treatment they can!
Rescue Rollers is truly a blessing.
We adopted Nola in June of 2022 from the Rescued Rollers Organization. Nola was originally from Mississippi but when the rescue she was originally with could not find a foster/adopter they worked with other organizations that may spark some interest in her. I saw Nola on the Rescued Rollers page and one thought came to my mind… that is my dog! I am a training professional and own a training business so I wasn’t exactly in the market for another dog but like I said, as soon as I saw her - I knew! My husband at first asked why we needed another dog - I said we don’t, she needs us! I contacted John from Rescued Rollers to inquire about her. He was very professional and explained all of Nola’s needs. Nola was born without her front legs. She explores the world through her mouth so watching what goes in there is a must! She was fitted for a wheel chair, but other than that she is a regular dog. Once we were cleared and we accepted Nola into our home she was a perfect fit! In the beginning we were going to foster (making sure our other dogs and Nola would get along) but within a week we had adopted her. Not only did Nola fit into our family but we couldn’t imagine her being anywhere else. John at Rescued Rollers stayed involved with Nola and we often share stories. He is there as extra support if I need him and has been fantastic not only throughout the adoption process but would be there anytime in the future should I need him. John cares so much for these dogs and works endlessly to place them into loving homes when others don’t want them. He also takes the time to educate people and has hosted webinars with other professionals about special need dogs. I highly recommend (and do everyone I get the chance) this organization to everyone interested in one of these special dogs. This is just one of their many success stories.
John and Noel from Rescued Rollers are our neighbors. We knew about the good works they were doing for special needs dogs, and decided we wanted to help support them. After a while we realized we could help in other ways. We began by fostering a deaf and blind collie. Then a few months later we fostered a deaf and blind Ausie. We learned so much about fostering and caring for these dogs from resources supplied by Rescued Rollers. We adopted both dogs without hesitation. We will continue to be fosters for Rescued Rollers because we know how important fosters are to help them take care of these loving dogs that deserve a chance to have their best life.
I met John and rescue rollers through a Facebook post several years ago when he brought little Mila to the rescue. I fell in love with her and have been following this rescue ever since. I went to his home/ rescue to meet Mila and got to know John and Noelle personally. These are straight up honest people driven to do what no one else will do-help these handicapped dogs live full lives. And they do!!! He’s hands on and driven. I love these people for loving them. You go John and Noelle!! May God be with you always !!
I first heard about Rescued Rollers through an article in Woman’s World magazine several years ago. I fell in love with this organization when I learned that they specifically help animals with disabilities. I’ve been following Rescued Rollers on Facebook ever since, and have provided monetary donations as well as items from their Amazon Wish List to show my support over the years. While there are many animal-related organizations out there, John’s compassion, energy, and dedication to the Rescued Rollers mission is truly admirable and worthy of recognition.
Rescue Rollers are awesome. They truly care about the animals they take in. I have followed multiple stories from them and admire all the care they provide their cases. The story of Mila was particularly touching.
They are all about the dogs! I love that they didn’t give up on a big girl (St Bernard) with mobility issues just because of her size. That means everything to the giant livers like myself!
Rescue rollers takes in dogs with disabilities they take a lot of time care they get them better. Making sure all the issues are taken care of asbes as possible! They give them quality care and find them the perfect home
met rescued rollers when they adopted their first special needs dog Ranger. I reached out to them because I was so impressed with this first journey. Over the years they have proved to be one of the most compassionate groups I have seen. They live what they do. Very impressed with their ability to interact with others - their response time and thoroughness is amazing, and they are very, very supportive of others attempting to do good work. AMAZING people.
I met John and after he told me what he did, I checked out his website. I follow the lives of these discarded dogs. And know how much work snd dedication it takes to be with these lovelies 24/7 without he ability to take a vacation , take extended time for yourselves. I support John by helping purchasing supplies or necessities that the dogs need to survive and live a happy and healthy life. I would like to nominate Rescued Rollers for this top prize. I may be in Florida but keep tabs via Dacebook.

This family and organization truly care for the well-being and rehabilitation of dogs. They go above and beyond to help dogs in our community. Without Rescued Rollers, many dogs in need would go without help.
Rescued Rollers (John and his wonderful fosters) , and BAARK (Steph/Ann in the Bahamas) saved our baby, Oreo! Oreo was found in the streets of Nassau at 5 months old starving to death and with Ricketts, among other ailments. She was nursed back to health by the rescues and came to us in Ohio via planes, trains, and automobiles! She now lives a charmed life, in spite of her orthopedic issues. She may need a wheelchair one day for her hind legs (she struggles to get up even though she’s only one year old) our vet says. I know that I can count on John and Rescued Rollers to help me with that if the time comes. I highly recommend Rescued Rollers! John and his staff are knowledgeable and always professional. They are a top notch rescue! (and run by true angels on this planet!)
