I sadly had to tegome my dog, and after contacting many rescues I was always made to feel guilty for needing to rehome him. Then I happened upon Rescue Me page and reached out. Joy was absolutely the sweetest and just wanted to help. She quickly had my dogs photo posted for adoption and very soon after had found an amazing home for him my heart is missing him but also so full because I know he’s going to have a great life thanks to the efforts of Rescue Me. As a member of the Veterinary field for 35+ years. I have never witnessed a rescue give so much to the animals in their care. To Joy and Craig of Rescue Me, no animal is ever not worthy of their all. My brother needed to rehome his 5 month old chihuahua/dachshund female. I posted Isabella on RescueMe on November 30 and the calls started coming in. The first lady we spoke to wanted her for her grandchild. We met up and realized the little boy was too young for such an active puppy. We were all disappointed but we knew it was not a good fit. We parted with no hard feelings. The second lady I spoke to was very sweet, young and lived 4 hours away. There were no children in the house so Isabella would recieve all the love and kisses she could handle. We met today with her and her husband and they fell in love with Isa. She was all over them giving kisses and loving all their attention. We all knew she had found her new people. Isabella is now in a loving home with new parents who will love her and keep her safe and healthy. RESCUEME made this process easy and gave my brother the knowledge that his puppy would be in good hands in her new home. Hopefully we will never have to use this site again to rehome but it is great and comforting to know they are there to help. We have been involved and have followed Rescue Me Corporation for well over a decade. They are great animal advocates who have rescued the animals that most people overlook who are either disabled or seniors. There have been cases they've taken that I would have never thought the animal would thrive but they have proven me wrong many many times. Joy and Craig are incredibly passionate with their work and give so much love to their animals and the community. I highly recommend working with and adopting animals from Rescue Me. Here is a pic of our Luci-fur who was what most people would automatically assume a demon dog based on her initial demeanor because she didn't know how to receive affection and would growl in delight when being loved on. She was an abused backyard breeder dog with the biggest tumor I had ever seen. Rescue Me fixed her up proper, having her tumor removed and getting her all dolled up. She came home with us and our two other non-rescue dogs to sleep in our bed and experience a life of love her final years. Luci is still in our hearts and she taught us to never judge a book by its cover.

They fixed her up, put bows in her hair and allowed us to adopt her and give her a taste of the good lap dog life. I met Joy through a mutual friend when they reached out to me regarding a goat who was in danger. I am a big believer in rescuing animals, especially when they are in perilous situations; so of course, I told them to bring her to me. Meeting Joy was a breath of fresh air, she is a beautiful soul and cares deeply about animals! I wound up adopting "Tiffany the Goat" and made a lifelong friend, Joy, in the process! I have personally worked with one of the members that are on the board for Rescue Me. She helped an abused Choctaw Spanish mustang (An Oklahoma Heritage Horse) our of an abusive life in California and get him to his original home in Oklahoma where he was stolen from. During that time his well-being was put first.
While I cannot speak for the efforts of the organization itself, I would like to publicly recognize Joy Nadel for being a caring and helpful individual who helped complete strangers to save their own dog by providing advice and a connection to someone who was able to help when the veterinarians had given up on their loving dog.
On August 13th of 2020, Lucy was given 2-6 weeks to live and the hospital had offered to put her down or to allow us to take her home and keep her comfortable until it was obvious to us that she was ready to cross the Rainbow Bridge. Since we were not ready to say goodbye, we took her home in hopes of making Lucy's last days as comfortable as possible.
On that very day, Joy reached out to me via Facebook Messenger after a conversation with a mutual friend offering help. She had me forward Lucy's lab results to her and looped in her friend, Dawn Smith, who ran another rescue organization about Lucy's condition. Between the two of them, they provided holistic ideas on how to get Lucy's health back on track.
Here it is October 17th, nine weeks later and Lucy is still with us, has an appetite, is energetic and almost back to her normal self. While it is probably time to do some new lab tests to see what her overall health is, I can say that I highly doubt that Lucy would still be with us without the kindness and caring that Joy and Dawn provided us in our time of need.
Joy called me about a pug that needed a new home. I adopted this little darling Beauty who gave me so much happiness for 9 years. I am forever grateful for her hard work and for honoring me by letting me adopt my little girl.

I was in a horrible bind, I had two German shepherds that were severely neglected but it was because an 85 year old Holocaust survivor didnt have the financial means to take care of them, she was supporting her drug addicted grandson who stole from her, etc. The dogs ears were eaten up by flies and they were in need of care. I looked up a rescue and it happened to be Rescue me Inc. Joy was amazing and she told me to come down to an event, she was so kind and so caring and she ended up finding me a loving home for the two dogs. The old woman who owned them even got to visit her beloved dogs in their new home. Rescue me Inc and Joy and Craig are a consistent lifeline for the rescue world. I have had the pleasure of working side by side for a couple years at a local shelter where Rescue Me would come, volunteer and pull animals out for rescue. I’ve seen first hand being out in public how animals are treated and behind the scenes. They are professional, honest, loving and kind with hearts bigger then life. They treat these animals as their own and love and protect them every step of the way. I don’t get to see them on a regular basis as I no longer work at the shelter, however their rescue is one I donate to on a regular basis. I love Rescue Me Inc.
Joy went out if her way to help me help someone out of state adopt an elderly German Shepherd from a high kill Southern CA shelter. She was ready and willing to help fly him where he needed to be with a young war veteran who just lost his Shepherd Dog to old age. Charlie and Cory needed each other. It turned out another group had pledges to transport Charlie so he got to where he he needed to be, but Joy had a plan in place as well. Thank God for people like The Nadels that you can count on.
Charlie didn't die alone in a Shelter after being abandoned by his owners. He lived out the remaining 9 months if his life in a loving home and passed away peacefully in loving arms of this young man who wanted him. They fulfilled each others needs to the end. RIP Charlie. Thank you Joy!

I have worked with this Rescue and I know how much they care about the dogs they rescue. They often take the hard to place and least adoptable dogs at the shelter. They love them like they are their own and work hard with the public to keep dogs out of shelters to begin with.
I came across this organization in 2005 via PetFinder.com when I was looking to adopt a companion. I did not adopt from them at the time due to their not being "the" one for me, but I did end-up being offered the opportunity to provide virtual volunteer assistance and have been doing so ever since. Joy and Craig have the biggest hearts and very much enjoy rescue. So much so, they support other rescues, shelters, and organizations.
I think about the great work Rescue Me does every single day when I look at the faces of two of my rescues, Bella and her brother Blu. They were part of a litter of nine puppies dumped in a river the rainy night before Thanksgiving of 2008. Nine puppies! And all of them deathly ill, yet that same day Rescue Me lived up to its name and rushed in to cover the medical costs for the litter; nursed them back to health; found them a foster home and eventually adopted them all out to loving homes. No easy feat for a small non-profit but they did it. And each year, they do it over and over again.
Have been involved with the Nadels for 12 years and have seen their dedication and caring to rescue and place animals in loving homes. From dogs and cats to pigs, goats and fish...they do it all!
Rescue Me, Inc is an amazing organization that goes out of their way to help animals in need. They take puppies needing to be bottle fed as well as seniors in need of permanent loving homes.

I met Joy and Craig several years ago when a bad breeder brought a 1 day old Pomeranian puppy in to my vets office to be euthanized. The vet called me and told me the situation and I told them not to go through with it, that I would find help for the puppy. Almost immediately I got a call from Joy saying that they would LOVE to take the puppy. Keep in mind, he had to be bottle fed every 90 minutes for several weeks, then every few hours for several weeks after that. This daunting prospect did not stop Joy for even one second. We met a couple of days later and sweet Gucci puppy has been with her ever since. I have never known a rescue to do so much for as many as Joy and Craig have. Age, medical issues, breed -- none of that matters as long as it's a good dog (or pig, goat, etc.). These 2 people have hearts of gold. They are wonderful friends, and amazing rescuers. I can only hope that I grow to be the selfless person that Joy is. She is always ready to help, in any way that she can.

This amazing group connected me with my most amazing forever cat Sammy. He is a high need Persian cat who has trouble eating on his own and was found on the streets, underweight, and in need of minor surgery.
They got Sammy everything he needed and got my son and I into visit with him before and after his surgery so we could bond with him and care for him before we were able to take him home. I will be forever grateful to this amazing rescue group.

I met Joy & Craig when I was helping to Toole family get justice for their beautiful puppy, KARLEY, who had been beaten to death by her(Karley) neighbor. Joy helped get the word out about Karley & with her help, we were able to get letters written, phone calls made & justice for Karley.
I've been a member of the Rescue Me, Inc board for a couple of yrs. I've watched Joy & Craig give their all to help any & ALL animals. They take in dogs that would have been put down...meaning handicapped dogs. They've helped get hundreds, if not thousands, of animals adopted at their annual ADOPT-A-THON at the Camarillo Shelter.
I could go on & on about Joy, Craig & Rescue Me, Inc. I personally know Lynne & Benjamin, the family that was scammed regarding the therapy dog. They are my neighbors. When I contacted Joy about Lynne's ordeal, she immediately said "YES, I'LL HELP THEM". She didn't skip a beat.
I'm proud to say that I know Joy & Craig & I'm proud to be on their Board.

I have known Joy and Craig for about 6 years now. They are two of the most devoted and honest people I have ever met. As an animal trainer in the studio industry as well as a private party rescuer Joy is my "go to" gal whenever I need a rescue question answered, for insight into a possible purrfect matching furbaby that someone is looking for, and even for those "oh my gosh Joy, this lady has a litter of kittens and the landlord is going to kick her out if she doesn't get rid of them TODAY! HELP! Do you know ANYONE?" situations. Their latest venture into the training of rescue dogs for returning soldiers is amazing and long overdue. Rescue Me is definitely one of the good ones!

I first met Joy over 10 years ago doing a home check for her for a dog she was trying to place.As a member of a rescue organization I was more then willing to help.She has always been professional and one of the most dedicated people I have ever seen to her animals and fosters. She wants to make a difference and works hard each day.
I first met Joy around 2002 when I found a stray dog that had been hurt and i was trying to find a home for. She invited me to bring her to the mobile adoptions, as well as helped me to find her a home.
It was instantly clear that she was an avid animal advocate. I ended up keeping the dog, but before that choice became clear to me, I learned a great deal about rescue, screening, and placement of dogs. I ended up volunteering for a bit with Rescue Me, Inc. It was a great experience.
I've stayed in touch with the organization for all these years, even after moving, because I believe in Joy and Rescue Me and what they stand for. I hope they achieve their goal for their sanctuary because the animals need more people like them to fight for them.
I met Joy and Craig in 2012. I was working at our local Animal Shelter. Joy and Craig organized vendors to come to the shelter, and or donate for fund raising event at the shelter. They collected the items, tagged them, and arraigned them for "The Adopt-a-thon" they care about all animals far and wide.
I haved seen this twice in the 2 years working at the shelter. Not only then, but at other times seeing about the welfare of the animals at the shelter, placing, networking the animals so they can be rescued or adopted.
Joy and Craig also got in touch at my request to help my sister who was rescuing a dog from another rescue that had red flags during the transactions trying to get the dog safe and out of harms way. Joy and Craig led my sister to the right resources so as to close down that rescue.
Also, Joy has helped me personally when my boxer was sick, what to look for questions to ask my vet at the appointment, and care for my dog.
I am in awe of them.

Joy Nadel and Rescue Me Inc. came into our life after our family, and my son were scammed out of a service dog. The first day I met Joy, she promised to help us find my son a dog, train it and help bring awareness to our family's and the other 24 families, who were taken advantage of by a very unscrupulous service dog organization. Because of Joy's excellent reputation and connections, she was able get our story on the CBS 2 news in LA. Her amazing kindness, energy and love for animals has been a Godsend. Along with helping us search for the right dog, she vowed to help us train the dog at no cost to our family. We have now rescued an adorable black lab/mix puppy, who our son named Ember. Joy has been working with our family and Ember with her basic obedience training. We could not be happier with our experience with Joy and Rescue Me Incorporated, and look forward to our future training together!

i met joy on facebook, she was an animal lover just like me, i see all she does and post she puts out to help gods most vonerable creatures, she is a great asset to humanity we need more like her

I'm calling myself a client, because it the closest I can get to describing our relationship. I met Joy and Craig in 2000 when I started working at the local animal shelter. They have been one of my very favorite rescues from the first day. I always know that any pet sent out with them will get the best care, and will be placed in loving forever homes. Their tireless efforts have saved countless lives. We are very fortunate to have Rescue Me as adoption partners!

Beth, to me you are family after all these years. I feel blessed to know that you and the other ACO'S contact me when there is a fur kid in need and that you trust us to provide the love and care as we do. Our relationship goes far further then the shelter doors as you have fostered dogs for us that we have then adopted after your great fostering job and thank you for ALWAYS going the extra mile for a fur baby in need. You are a TRUE rescue angel!!!!
Rescue Me Incorporated is without a doubt a wonderful organization. No matter the situation, they never turn away an animal in need. I have known Joy and Craig for 14 yrs and trust them with my own life.

I first met Joy in September 2014. She came to my home along Benjamin, who suffers from epileptic seizures and he was in need of a service dog. They adopted the dog that we had been fostering. I was very pleased with the way Joy handled the dog. I think she is doing an amazing job training the dog and how she is helping Benjamin by providing this service for his dog!
