With each piece of legislation that eats away the rights under Roe V. Wade, I knew that I had to find an organization that addressed this very large problem. As I have gotten more and more involved in RHAP, I have been so impressed with the staff and board on their dedication to righting the wrongs our society is creating. Everyone is amazing and they are doing a great job.
RHAP is a committed, effective non-profit that stays true to its mission. Through RHAP I received post-graduate training in the provision of full-spectrum reproductive health care -- training that I didn't have access to during medical school or residency. Without this training, I wouldn't be able to offer or teach the family planning services that I now provide.
RHAP is an amazing organization that has an outstanding mission of making birth control and abortion part of routine medical care, important goals of expanding services and increasing public awareness of issues of comprehensive reproductive health care, efficient and effective staff that are motivated and engaging, and most importantly, a deep care for women in need. RHAP fundraises, educates, and advocates in the most creative, productive, and genuine manner. They really make a difference in women's comprehensive reproductive health care. I have had some of my greatest experiences in non-profit/advocacy work with this organization.
The Reproductive Health Access Project is a mission driven organization that is committed to expanding access to reproductive care through education and training. The organizations strives on local and national levels to ensure women will continue to have access- the training of primary care providers is a unique way to bring their mission to urban and rural communities alike. The organizational is energetic and consistently thinks creatively to bring the mission to primary care providers and organizations that are overwhelmed with the challenges facing healthcare providers in todays world. A review of RHAPS work and website will demonstrate that they are a wonderfual candiadte for the womens empowerment award. Serving on the board as a professional in the healthcare field has been rewarding , as a woman who believes in access and choice serving on the board and helping to grow the organization has been the most rewarding experience of all.
The Reproductive Health Access is a wonderful organization, on the forefront of women's health. It works with integrity, honesty, and from a grassroots level to expand access to reproductive health for all women in this country.
With a very lean budget, RHAP is changing the face of family medicine and primary care. With its innovative strategies to improve contraceptive practice in family medicine through advocacy at the local and state level through national organizations, RHAP is reaching hundreds of family medicine teachers, trainers and practitioners. RHAP is committed to placing early abortion clearly within the comprehensive health care that family medicine doctors provide, and their staff is tireless in reaching this goal.
I am thoroughly impressed with RHAP. It is such a well managed organization -- it is unbelieveable to me that it does SO much with so little. I have worked with countless other non-profits and am singularly impressed with the work RHAP does. This is truly a fine non-profit organization that struggles with a timely and invaluable mission.
