Their research team is thorough and thoughtful. Their partnerships team is frequently counted on by state-based campaigns and coalition organizations to provide support. Their communications team thoughtfully articulates why "systems change" is necessary as a complement to effective strategies that recruit and train women to run for office.

Represent Women is singularly focused on expanding the voices of women in elected and appointed office at all levels of government. When women contest elections and get in the arena, the issues and solutions change for the better for all of us. RW is creative and effective, focusing on removing structural barriers and fixing institutions to be more responsive to women's participation.
Significant expertise in their field. Trying to find creative mediums to grow common sense electoral reforms

The RepresentWomen team is doing a fabulous job looking at all the data on the barriers women face in politics and identifying the best solutions to address those barriers! I am especially excited to see the research on what's helping to elect women to office -- faster -- in all the countries that rank above the United States in women's representation. Well done RepresentWomen!
I love that RepresentWomen works to represent ALL self-identifying women. We need to represented regardless of our backgrounds. My work at the Ohio Justice & Policy Center is rooted in making sure legislation is created by people from all walks of life. Women are more likely to see people in marginalized communities.
RepresentWomen's dynamic leader sets the tone for this impactful organization - one that keeps "punching above its weight" even as it grows in size. I can't wait to see what it can achieve in earning support for structural changes to level the playing field for women in politics so that men and women in serve in comparable numbers up and down the ballot.

I'm so impressed with the work of this woman-founded, woman-run organization. I especially appreciated their personal follow-up when I signed up to their email list. I'm also happy to be connected with and support one of the few organizations in the country who believes we need all women at the table (not just women from a certain party), and who are working on things that will make a difference for women for the long term. Not just short-term wins. RepresentWomen is doing amazing things!

RepresentWomen is one of the only organizations dedicated to advancing reforms that truly build women's political power. The incredible research this organization conducts is paving the way towards a more gender balanced democracy. This team is doing critical work to bridge the women's representation and democracy reform movements together. Each event and convening they host provides a much needed space for women's leadership to shine and I am grateful for this organization's dedication to increasing and sustaining women's representation in every level of elected office.
Growing up in a broken family, of a single mother with no job, life was hard and unbearable, cultural norms were more respected than human rights. Women and girls were nothing compared to human beings with equal rights and opportunities as men and boys. Going to school was a taboo for a girl child and its women who advocated for early marriages. Me and my mother became enemies of society for she sent me to school. Since then, it has been a good experience for me and my society, graduating as a human rights student specializing in child protection and Gender Equality. Here at Represent Women, it's been a platform for me to showcase my skills and experiences in advocating for the rights of women and Gender Equality.
RepresentWomen is a groundbreaking political leadership incubator that combines practical support to aspiring and current women leaders with much needed research and insights on how to improve structures so that we have more women running and staying in political office. The fact that they work in a non-partisan way is particularly powerful in current polarized environments. Our organization is based in Germany and works in the same field - we continually learn from and are inspired by RepresentWomen.
This is one of those special nonprofits where you see them filling such an important need - that no one else is covering - in a great, non-partisan way. They put on excellent programming and really highlight the upsides to having gender parity in our representation...AND HOW TO GET THERE! It's not enough to just talk about the problem, but what's great about RepWomen is that they're providing solutions. Great events, too!
RepresentWomen is a forward, innovative organization combining reform and getting more women elected – two issues that have been ignored for too long. It is also an invaluable information source that makes a broad community smaller and epitomizes leadership that unites and is multi-gen women.

I celebrate the compelling work of Cynthia Terrell and her staff at RepresentWomen to eliminate the barriers that impair greater women's representation throughout the electoral process. An example of the highly collaborative nature of this important organization is the annual Democracy Solutions Summit they sponsor which provides a forum for like-minded women to share their inspiring ideas and strategies. Although I sometimes get discouraged by the challenges faced by our democracy, the mission of RepresentWomen gives me a renewed sense of hope that we can indeed create a more just society to the benefit of all of us!

Watching RepresentWomen (RW) go from concept to launch to a now thriving organization has been truly remarkable given the number of organizations that endeavor to have impact not only when it comes to women’s representation but also in the pro-democracy and better government spaces. RW is a one-stop-shop for the data on how American government does and does not include the voices of women. The level of understanding that it takes to do this work is quite deep, but that’s what the RW team does & does well: produce products that not only visualize compelling data but make it easy-to-digest/portable. Decision-makers need data in order to inform them and ultimately craft better policies; RW is giving decision makers, advocates, and activists a 360 view of all the information they need to go out and make a difference. RW keeps getting better every quarter and every year, and that’s why I believe in giving RW the funds they need — in order to do work that truly moves the needle when it comes to women’s representation in these United States!
RepresentWomen is an incredible organization. They produce high quality reports that are easy for the public to interpret. Their dedication to increasing gender parity is unparalleled. I have learned about so many women politicians because of them and am more excited to vote than ever before. I enjoy keeping up with their work. They have definitely found a lifelong supporter in me!

RepresentWomen is doing incredible work demonstrating and advocating for the opportunity to more rapidly advance women's representation by reinforcing new and existing successful candidate empowerment strategies with structural election reforms. They are the leaders in this and are doing a great job creating awareness and buy-in amongst the organizations fighting to amplify women's voices.
Truly a wonderful, mission-driven org with a deeply dedicated and qualified team. RepresentWomen fills a critical gap in the democracy reform space, reminding us that without reform, women’s representation will remain hundreds of years away. 5/5!
RepresentWomen is a much-needed voice in democracy reform. They are the only ones doing this kind of analysis, and if they weren't doing it no one would be. I'm thankful we have their work to site and share as it has been really valuable to our RCV efforts.
Great nonprofit that creatively leverages research and convenings to advance the critical issue of gender parity in politics -- both in the U.S. and abroad.
Cynthia Terrell and RepresentWomen do the critical work we need to strengthen democracies around the world. By focusing on the transformation of electoral systems rather than just individual candidacies, this organization helps grow the roots that will allow women -- and other underrepresented candidates -- to participate equitably and intersectionally in the governance we need to sustain our planet.
Represent Women is an incredible organization with an exceptional team focused on fair representation and gender equality. The US is 71st in the world for women’s representation. Represent Women, an organization founded and staffed by women, provides an important perspective on our democracy. Their research highlights the fact that American women are no less capable than women in other countries that are closer to gender parity, but they face structural barriers in getting elected and serving in office, from a winner-take-all system that favors incumbents, to a lack of onsite childcare in legislative workplaces. And as well as pointing out these issues, Represent Women presents thoughtful solutions.
What a great organization! Inspiring staff. Great research that connects the US to countries across the globe addressing gender parity. RepresentWomen sets a clear path forward for long lasting changes to assure women will run and win offices.

RepresentWomen's research on gender representation around the world and systems analysis puts data directly in the hands of advocates. RepresentWomen contributes extensive and comprehensive research to the field of politics. Electing women is important, but RW shows we need methods to recruit, as well as methods to support women while in office. Keep up the great work!
The democracy reform space has a habit of relying on the same panel of experts - largely white and male. It was refreshing to attend RepresentWomen's Solution Summit and hear from women what needs to be done to improve our democracy. Keep up the good work.
Maryland received a "D" !!! in their gender parity report. Do better Maryland! Great work by RepresentWomen. I'm looking forward to seeing more "A" states in the future. There were none this year!!
I have attended a number Represent Women events over the past few years. They are driving real programs that help move us closer to gender parity in elected office.
