RRF has been a mainstay in helping children in need in Northern Nevada. They have helped provide clothing for new foster children coming into our home over the past several years, and have significantly lessened the financial burden on me as a foster parent, allowing me to focus on providing excellent care to the foster youth in my home.
Reno Rodeo you have been such an asset to our community. Thank you so much for helping and supporting children in Foster Care.
Reno Rodeo helps to provide care and normalcy to the children in our community. Their support and dedication to youth in foster care means so much.
I have been a foster parent in Washoe County for 4 years. Every time a child is placed with us we are able to utilize their funding to get the child their necessities and clothing. They also provide free Reno Rodeo tickets to foster families every year. They do an outstanding job in our community! Thank you Reno Rodeo Foundation!
Thank you so much for all your help. We got a lot of the basic essentials we were lacking when we got our little guy. We got varied clothing that he looks so cute in. We also got diapers, wipes and shampoo that we are still using today. We also attended family day which was amazing!! It was fun to see him interact with the animals for the first time and he really enjoys people watching too. We look forward to attending next year as well. Again, thank you for all you do it’s definitely appreciated and have told many friends, neighbors and co-workers about what you’ve done for us specifically
The Reno Rodeo Foundation is amazing. They are always helping, and giving back to the community, especially to all our foster/adoptive families. I myself foster and the amount of love, help, and encouragement that I have received from this foundation has been of such a blessing. Any time we have a new placement they are quick to provide us with clothing. The events that they host such as the clothing drive helps support these families, and puts a smile on the kiddos faces. They are making an impact, and I am forever thankful for their kindness and beautiful hearts. Thank you for all you do Reno Rodeo Foundation.
My children had the privilege of participating in the Reno Rodeo Foundation's Special Kids Rodeo for many years when they were younger. It was a wonderful opportunity for my children and something our family looked forward to each year! The children not only got the opportunity to try new things such as riding horses and roping, but got to interact with our areas 1st responders. They truly were provided a one of a kind Special Day where they all felt the love of this Foundation. Reno Rodeo Foundation is a great organization that supports so many families and children in Northern Nevada, and we are so fortunate to have them as part of our community.
The Reno Rodeo Foundation plays a pivotal role in ensuring children in foster care feel seen, loved and important. Their generosity and ongoing support is immensely appreciated and incredibly important. Thank you for doing what you do so we can continue to keep children in Washoe County safe!
The Reno Rodeo Foundation provides an amazing and invaluable service to foster children across the State by funding Social workers with pre-paid cards to purchase new clothing for children, clothing for youth job interviews, as well as providing educational scholarships, school supplies, and tickets for foster families to enjoy a night out at one of the best Rodeos in the country. Their amazing benevolence ensures 100% of donations goes to supporting abused, neglected, and abandoned children across the State.
Good morning,
I’d like to thank the Reno Rodeo Association for their contributions to my community and personal experience here in Nevada. I have been a resident of Nevada since approximately 1980 and truly appreciate this (my ) state.
The Rodeo has been a part of my family’s lives for over 40 years and thanks to the Reno Rodeo and the state of Nevada I was able to attend in 2023. It is an inclusive, family oriented, fun, educational event and I revel in the beauty and talent presented every year. I sincerely thank you for what you bring to the families here which includes togetherness, excitement, and new experiences.
To touch on another point, I work for the Division of Child and Family Services, for the State of Nevada. I truly appreciate the contributions and help that the Reno Rodeo affords many families and children in this state. It does my heart so much good to know and hear about foster children being placed and helped. The Reno Rodeo is a large supporter and proponent of this ~ much appreciated!
Please continue to present this great event which has been a tradition for so many, for so many years. It does not go unnoticed.
All my best,

Reno Rodeo Foundation provided me with a scholarship to help pursue my educational goals at the University of Nevada, Reno. I am planning to pursue a career in biology, and I will forever be thankful for the support Reno Rodeo has given me.
The Reno Rodeo Foundation has helped me go to college last year and is helping again this year. They have been a big help with my college journey and are a great foundation.
I am an incoming college freshman who will be relying on scholarships to graduate college, hopefully debt free. I plan to major in Public Health and continue on to medical school. I appreciate the Reno Rodeo for awarding me this scholarship, although I have never participated in a rodeo event. This shows that the Reno Rodeo helps tremendously with community outreach, helping students like me all over Northern Nevada.
The Reno Rodeo Foundation has provided me with a scholarship that has allowed me to pursue my goals through higher education. I could not be more thankful for the opportunity that has been provided to me.
I am extremely honored to be awarded a scholarship from The Reno Rodeo Foundation. Not only have they provided me with a sense of accomplishment, but they have also allowed me to continue to peruse my dreams to the fullest. Moreover, the scholarship they have provided will help give me financial stability, letting me focus on my studies and will ease the financial burden of attending college. Being awarded a scholarship from the Reno Rodeo Foundation has given me a sense of pride and motivation. Once again, I would love to express my sincere appreciation for this organization. Their generosity and support will undoubtedly help me achieve my goals.
#1 - Seeing the look of relief on one's face was priceless truly. The recipients of Reno Rodeo Foundation funds are just elated that they are given such a wonderful treat.
Many times, these kids have never been shopping for new clothing. Accompanying them and letting them pick out items that they like is a very fulfilling feeling.
It boosts their confidence, it makes them feel good, and they get to be an individual with their own style. And boy some of them are amazingly creative. They also feel “grown up” because they get to shop. It teaches them life skills as well.
And they even get to pick out there very own kind of shampoo and body wash. I had a couple kids literally squeal in excitement that they got to try a name brand shampoo (Pantene).
This program is a lifesaver. It not only serves the purpose of making sure a client has fresh new clothing, shoes, and toiletries, but it’s also good for the soul. The Reno Rodeo program has been a true blessing.
#2 - Identifying relative and fictive-kin placements for children in need of removal is usually a challenge for the Division of Child and Family Services. Not only are potential caregivers overcome with shock that a child that they know, and love is in need of a placement, but it is typically followed by anxiety and worry about how they will suddenly financially care for the child. Oftentimes, these children do not have any belongings, adequate clothing, shoes, or hygiene products. Having access to Reno Rodeo funds helps ease that anxiety because it relieves the new caregiver of having to purchase those items. In addition to Reno Rodeo funds helping caregivers, those funds provide some safety and security to our foster children by giving them the opportunity to pick out their very own clothes, shoes, and toiletries, especially during a time when everything they know and own has been ripped away from them. The pure joy and happiest seen on their faces make Reno Rodeo a much-needed resource and support for our children.
Babies grow quickly and I found our foster daughter was needing new clothes every few months. Into one of these times of need stepped the Reno Rodeo Foundation. They were very generous with so many items that we needed for her. Plus they made it very easy to "shop" at their event. They also had a soft teddy bear for her and a large wheeled backpack that we packed for her when she had to leave my family. Additionally, we got to take this little girl to the rodeo in June for free! We are very grateful for all their help.

It is always such a relief and big help to receive a bag of clothes for each foster child we have welcomed into our home. The kids are excited about their new clothes and shoes--sometimes it is the first new set they have had or the cleanest. They proudly fold the pieces into their new drawers. One of my foster daughters had only pajamas that were too big. The rodeo ordered her some on amazon to come directly to her by mail--what a generous gift of both winter and summer pjs since we were in the transition months when it could be hot or cold. Plus, the kids are pleased to get to take the clothes with them with they are reunited with their family. Thank you, Reno Rodeo!
My husband and I have had foster children in our home in Reno for many years. Our youth have benefited greatly from all the wonderful ways the Reno Rodeo foundation gives back. The denim drive provides them with new stylish clothes twice a year. They get to pick out what they like with the help of several volunteers that are there to help. We’ve been able to attend several rodeos with them throughout the years. For many of them it was their first rodeo experience. We certainly appreciate all the efforts and generous contributions that help enrich theses young peoples lives.
They generously team with Washoe County Human Services Agency to provide new clothing to foster children of all ages. Their assistance is invaluable to our agency and means so much to the children. Having new clothes to wear to school makes them feel prepared and confident to interact with other kids and better able to focus on academics. We appreciate Clara and the Reno Rodeo Foundation so much!!
Our son, Levi, has a very rare genetic condition that causes a myriad of disabilities and challenges and for which he receives many treatments and therapies as well as weekly infusions at Renown Children's. Levi's nurses nominated him for a Reno Rodeo Wish for a family trip to San Francisco to attend a SF Giants game. The Reno Rodeo Foundation was so generous. They provided funds for the game, hotel, food, travel, entertainment, everything! We even got to visit the SF Zoo! It was Levi's first time at a professional baseball game and at the zoo and he had a great time. They made our whole family feel so cared for and it was a wonderful and memorable respite for all of us from all of the day to day medical challenges facing Levi. Thank you Reno Rodeo Foundation!
We have always enjoyed the Reno Rodeo, I think it’s the best attraction we have in Reno every year. But what we didn’t know was how much support the Reno Rodeo associated gave to children foundations, we become foster parents in 2017 when he where placed with our own bio grandson who was a that time 14 days old, we had nothing for him, we then where told about the clothing and toys given away for foster parents by the Reno Rodeo, will that was just amazing, our grandson had everything he needed, we adopted our grandson in 2020, but we continue to support our community by becoming a family foster household, and still every year we continue to receive clothes and toys for all of our foster children from the Reno Rodeo association, and with the free tickets given to Washoe County CPS we get to enjoying going to the Reno Rodeo, never at any venue are we meet with great hospitality like we receive when we go to a clothing drive or the Reno Rodeo, Thank you, your support is greatly appreciated.
God Bless.

We’ve been foster parents now for almost three years, I didn’t know the impact that the Reno Rodeo Foundation had on this community and the surrounding areas. We’ve been big fans of the Reno Rodeo for a long time, are first date was to the Reno Rodeo, and it must have been real good, she said yes, thank you Reno Rodeo Foundation for all of your support to the community and to us personally.
We’ve recently adopted our grandson, and he’s received many gifts of kindness from the Reno Rodeo Foundation, including clothing and toys and shoes and socks, and also have the other children that we have fostered, and I know many other people in and out of the foster community who hav been helped in many ways by the Reno Rodeo Foundation, so me an my house thank you, and embrace you with both hugs and kisses in giving thanks for your help.
God Bless.
This has been an AMAZING resource for our foster kiddos to do a lil shopping and getting NEW clothes in a fairly quick manner as well as several times a year at the planned events. The kids also enjoy interacting with the cowboys/girls as they are shopping. This organization has exceeded my expectations every time!! Thank you so much for your commitment to children!!
As a foster parent and receiving kids in emergency respite situations I know I can always count on the Reno rodeo foundation to provide essentials for the kids.
Year after year, the Reno Rodeo Foundation continues to support our most vulnerable population - children affected by abuse and neglect. When these children are removed, it is the most frightening experience a child can have - complete strangers taking them to a place they've never been! But once these children are met with kindness, love, and provision, they soon come to know that things really are going to be okay. Reno Rodeo Foundation is a big part of that and we are so thankful to this organization that focuses so much of its time and money on these kids. There will never be enough words to express our gratitude! Thank you, from the bottom of every social worker and case manager's heart. We couldn't do this hard work without you!!
Through the Reno Rodeo Foundation Scholarship I was able to get better financial support to help make my dream of going to college more accessible. Being a first generation Latina, it was extremely hard for my parents to help my sister and I go to college, not only academically as they only spoke Spanish but also finically. By getting the Reno Rodeo Foundation Scholarship it helped with my college expenses and helped bring some of the financial burden off my family shoulders.
The generosity of the Reno Rodeo Foundation is unparalleled. I am a medical student and without their support I would not have the opportunity to pursue my dream of becoming a doctor. They consistently support northern Nevada and are a pillar in our communities.
Our experience with the Reno Rodeo Foundation has been life changing. My son Asher was born at 25 weeks in the parking lot of the Army Base I worked at, weighing just over a pound. He has spent over 416 days in the hospital in his 8 years of life and faces many health struggles. He has a Tracheostomy due to Bilateral Vocal Cord Paralysis, Tracheomalacia and Chronic Lung Disease. He can't talk or eat and gets fed through a G-tube in his stomach. In the next few years he will be facing multiple surgeries in Utah to reconstruct and rebuild his airway to, hopefully, one day remove his trach. In June of 2022, Asher was one of the children selected as a Reno Rodeo Wish recipient based off his Pumonoligist nominating him. He was granted a generator so that we could go camping and go on adventures and still be able to charge all of the equipment needed to maintain Ashers life. This was a game changer for Asher as he loves the outdoors so this gave him the opportunity to go and live it freely and experience the great outdoors overnight. They also fixed his family vehicle so that he can be safely transported to and from medical appointments. He was awarded a new scooter and iPad so that he can enjoy some of his favorite activities and he uses an iPad to communicate. In September of 2022, Asher was chosen as the Champion Child to be flown to the the NRF in Las Vegas. Asher has a huge love of Rodeo, it began 5 years ago when he started Mutton Bustin in the Reno Rodeo. To have a foundation that has chosen to recognize and bless a child based on the differences he faces on a daily basis, the differences that a world sometimes deems a burden or bad, to reward him for these is nothing short of magic. My little boy gets to shine and fulfill his dream of being the ultimate Cowboy for a day because this amazing organization recognizes that he faces more hardships in a day than many face their entire life. They have given my medically comprised little boy a chance to be special because of what he was born with. The magic they have given Asher, my entire family, is priceless. The memories made and the ones still to come, are ones that we will cherish and treasure forever. I will forever champion for this organization because the work they do are what dreams are made of. They change lives and make children that have faced struggles and been treated differently, stand out and shine far longer than they can even imagine. They are Heroes in Cowboy hats! Thank you for filling Asher with so much magic and life. You make a difference in more ways than can be put into words.
Since covid, we had been struggling. I quit my job to stay home with kids, which meant losing our insurance. We don't qualify for medicaid, I think we were $10 over the income limit, yet we couldn't afford insurance because of medical debt due to me having a chronic illness.
We finally found a plan with no deductible which would make it possible to obtain, but it was crappy insurance and one Mitchie's therapist was not contracted with. Mitchie had gone through plenty of therapist, having bad relationships with them all until we found this one.
This was my tipping point. I got into the mind space of "nothing good ever happens toy family," and became severely depressed. My eight year old was suicidal, and there was no one to help her.
Then I received a call from her care coordinator informing us that she had been awarded a grant from the Reno Rodeo foundation dor mental health service and ASD equine therapy. I wasn't even aware she had been submitted for consideration, this was the best surprise I received in a long time!
As a kid growing up, going to the rodeo was a tradition for my whole family. We would go almost every night and it was something I wanted to pass down and do with my kids, with money being tight we just couldn't afford "fun" stuff. The Reno Rodeo foundation gifted us with tickets to the Rodeo as well, and finally I was able to watch my kids have the same experience I once had.
Mitchie has been doing so much better and I wouldn't have been able to do it without the help from the Reno Rodeo Foundation.
Now that Mitchie is in a good place, I've been able to get my life in order and our entire household has been doing much better. I can't thank them enough!!
I have been working along side the Reno Rodeo Foundation for 4 years. I have assisted in multiple Denim Drives, Christmas for Kids, Clothing exchanges, and a multitude of other events hosted by this organization. https://greatnonprofits.org/reviews/write/reno-rodeo-foundation. The Reno Rodeo Foundation has given children in our community the ability to shop for brand new clothing all of their own with the assistance of one of the Buckaroo's. Our shoppers love seeing children's faces light up when at the store, or even when they receive their new items. Every single kid this organization has ever assisted with has been so grateful. Seeing how much stress is relieved off caregivers faces is equally as heartwarming. Everything they do is absolutely incredible and I am so thankful to be apart of such a wonderful organization. Thank you Reno Rodeo! You deserve everything and more!
My name is Marie Lawson. I was raised in Fallon, Nv, on a cattle ranch, but in 2020, we moved our cattle ranch to Winnemucca, Nv. I got my associate's degree, so I could transfer to the University of Wyoming and pursue my dream Agriculture degree: Agricultural Business, Livestock Marketing, with a minor in Animal Science. I just recently received the Reno Rodeo Foundation Scholarship for spring 2022. The Reno Rodeo Foundation not only pushed me toward my dreams by helped me financially coming to Wyoming. I plan to graduate in 2024 and return to Nevada with all my experience, skills, and knowledge; I have learned to share and help others. Reno Rodeo Foundation is also very supportive and passionate about my dream just as much as I am. I am so thankful for their support in my new journey.
This is an amazing organization. They have members that actually care about improving the Greater Nevada community. Their generous scholarship is helping me out tremendously with affording school; I could not be more grateful.
I had a wonderful luncheon celebrating this nonprofit, and I also was lucky enough to attend the rodeo afterwards. This is such a passionate community of people who want to help people and I am so grateful that I get to be apart of it.
The Reno Rodeo Foundation has provided great assistance in my first year of college. I was awarded a $3000 scholarship for the 2022-23 school year to help pay for tuition UNR. This organization is helping me reach my goal of becoming a music educator and I will forever remember this gift they have given me.
Reno Rodeo Foundation has been an invaluable part of my pursuit of higher education. Their endless support and generosity has empowered me to have the financial resources needed to pay for tuition and school supplies while still being active participant in my community. I was able to graduate at the top of my class in the School of Public Health at UNR and this would not be possible without the help from the Reno Rodeo Foundation Scholarship. I thank Reno Rodeo for supporting me in all my endeavors!
To the dedication of the Reno Rodeo Scholarship,
My name is Rey Matthew Keene-Gutierrez, and I am a First-Generation student studying Biology with a minor in Spanish Translation. Being a First-Generation student, I’d like to personally thank the Reno Rodeo Scholarship Committee for enabling me to pursue my studies with my passion for evolving the scientific world. I have always been allured to the beauty of biology because it is a mysterious process that elicits life and regulates function. My passion for the field of science has shown me a variety of opportunities to contribute back to my own community through my Medical advisors, First-Generation advisors, and my science professors. Once I complete my undergraduate career in biology, I plan to go to medical school to become a physician. My goal as a physician is to serve underserved communities derived from a similar background. Hence why I am minoring in Spanish to eliminate language barriers that lower socioeconomic status communities face.
During this semester, and with the help of the Reno Rodeo Scholarship, I have been able to study abroad in Costa Rica to be propelled into an environment filled with Spanish-speaking members. With this dramatic change in my environment, I have learned to adapt to various settings as I have lived in Reno, Nevada the entirety of my life. So far, in my experience in San Ramón, Costa Rica, I have endeavored unique opportunities to compel empathy for different cultures. The USAC program in San Ramón, Costa Rica, is designed for science majors interested in health care. This program provides a wide range of upper-division biology requirements that will satisfy undergraduate requirements, along with Spanish courses that will improve my linguistic skills and Spanish-designed courses to interact with the local culture. While studying abroad, I plan to fortify my grammatical foundation, which will become important when working in a healthcare setting.
The Reno Rodeo has allowed me to keep fighting for my cause, as I will every experience I’ve learned to the United States.
Pura Vida,
Rey Keene-Gutierrez

2022-23 recipient of the Reno Rodeo Scholarship
Throughout my life, I have had the pleasure of seeing the Reno Rodeo Foundation’s effect on the local community through its programs. From the Denim Drive to their Bears & Badges, they have no doubt supported our community in many ways. As an RRF scholarship recipient, it is an honor to be recognized by such an outstanding organization, and greatly appreciate their support in not only my own education, but that of so many others as well. I firmly believe that the Foundation will continue to make a lasting impact here.
Hello, my name is Vera. I will be attending the University of Nevada, Reno, and majoring in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology. I have also been accepted into the highly selective BS-MD program, which guarantees me a seat in medical school upon completing my Bachelor's degree. My long-term goal is to become a family practice physician. Another goal I have is to travel to underserved communities and provide quality health care to those who cannot afford it.
I was one of the Reno Rodeo Foundation Scholarship recipients this year. I am very thankful for this generous scholarship as it will greatly help in covering some of the costs for college. I will use this scholarship to pay for classes, allowing me to get the education I need to pursue my goal of becoming a family practice physician and helping others.
Reno Rodeo Foundation played an active role in my education. As a past recipient of the Reno Rodeo Foundation Scholarship, I can proudly say that I am giving back to the Northern Nevada community as a direct result of the generosity of the RRF. This program offered me, along with thousands of past recipients, funding to pursue higher education and to prepare myself for the career that I am in now. As a Finance major at the University of Nevada, Reno, I learned the skills necessary to provide my clients with outstanding service in their portfolios, plans, and strategies. I'm very grateful to the Reno Rodeo Foundation and everything they stand for. They truly make our community a better place to live and work.
We are Washoe County foster parents who have been blessed to receive clothing assistance from Reno Rodeo foundation for children placed within our home. The foundation has been instrumental in the first few weeks of a child entering foster care by coming alongside the family to provide necessary items (including swim suits in summer time! See picture). We are so thankful for their assistance.
We are foster parents that at times have 5 foster kids plus we are raising 2 of our grandkids, that makes for a total of 7 children to buy school clothes, shoes, supplies and Christmas presents too. If it wasn't for your generosity in helping with this and many other things we would really have a struggle to be able to meet this need. Thank you for your help
Reno Rodeo Foundation is an amazing program for the foster children of Norther Nevada.
Reno Rodeo volunteer collect clothing all year long and work very hard for our children.
I applied for the 2021 Reno Rodeo Scholarship during my senior year of high school. The application process was clear, concise, and the foundation was always ready to answer any of my questions. Since receiving this scholarship, the Reno Rodeo Foundation has been consistent in reaching out to me (via email, mail) to that ensure I know all the information for my scholarship. This foundation is punctual and does an amazing job helping their scholarship recipients better understand all of their scholarship information.
The Reno Rodeo Foundation is a true community partner! Their commitment to children in our community is so valued and appreciated.
The Reno Rodeo Foundation has continuously supported the educational endeavors of the students in their community. As a scholarship recipient I understand how large of an impact this nonprofit has on individuals as well as the community as a whole. I greatly appreciate and support the Reno Rodeo Foundation.
I am a four-year scholarship recipient of the Reno Rodeo Foundation. I cannot thank them enough for their generosity and support throughout my entire college education. Because of their continuous aid, I was able to keep my 4.0 GPA as I focused on my studies rather than working so much to afford my classes and other school materials. They have saved me from dropping out and succumbing to loans. Once I graduate and begin my career, I will become a scholarship donor as well.
I am so grateful for the assistance the Reno Rodeo Foundation provided me. As a graduating high school senior, they granted me an $8,000 scholarship to help me receive a college education at the University of Nevada, Reno. Without their help I would not have been able to pay for my own college. They have the highest regard for education and are constantly finding new ways to help the youth of northern Nevada, from high school students to kindergarteners, further their education and develop their minds. I am forever grateful to have had contact and an experience with the Reno Rodeo Foundation.
When I first heard about the Reno Rodeo Scholarship I was a little hesitant about applying at first. I was scared that I would not be considered as a candidate for the scholarship because I have never been a part of my high Schools rodeo team. Fast forward a month and one of my friend's moms told me I should apply. So I went back and looked over the application. I was pleased to see that I did not have to be a part of high school rodeo. The years of Participating in FFA and wanting to study for a degree in agriculture were what they were looking for. I am beyond grateful to the Reno Rodeo Foundation for giving me their support to further my knowledge in agriculture.
From a very young age, I was challenged by obstacles. I did not let this stop me, I only used it as encouragement. I have pushed myself to get to where I am today and I continue to push myself to where I want to be. I was dealt a hard hand but I have learned how to live and use the experience to my advantage. Many long nights, hours of sacrifice and dedication, I have gotten to where I am today. In elementary and middle school, I was apart of the gifted and talented program. When I entered my Junior year of high school, I joined an amazing program called Jumpstart. For two years I participated in this program and attended high school as well as our community college, Western Nevada College. And as of March 24, 2021, I received my Associates of Science. After this, I then received my high school diploma on June 6, 2021. Having received my Associates degree before my diploma has to be one of my greatest achievements. I continue to prove to not only everyone around me, but to myself as well, how I can achieve anything I put my mind to. Just how dedicated and determined I am to succeed. This scholarship has given me an opportunity of a lifetime, to pursue my dream of becoming a Psychologist to help others that are going through life’s obstacles. I want to be there for others because when I went through them myself, I was eight and had no one.
The Reno Rodeo Foundation has helped me immensely throughout my undergraduate career through their generous scholarship. It is difficult to describe how much gratitude I have for this organization and their generosity, as I have been a recipient all four years of college. Being a scholarship recipient has allowed me to complete a dual major in Microbiology and Biochemistry at the University of Nevada-Reno without worrying about finances. Coming from a ranching family, my family's income is unpredictable year to year and we have experienced things like drought and drops in cattle prices that have impacted my family's ability to pay for college. The support I have received from the Reno Rodeo Foundation helped me stay motivated and on track. The scholarship has allowed me to complete my undergraduate education and help me pursue my dreams of working in the biological/biomedical sciences and I couldn't have done it without the help of the Reno Rodeo Foundation!
The Reno Rodeo Foundation has helped me so much in achieving my dreams at the University of Nevada, Reno. I recently just finished my first year of college and I couldn't have done it without their help. Not only did the scholarship help me with finances, but it also gave me the motivation to keep my grades up and help the community just as they had helped me. All I can say is that I will be forever grateful for this foundation for believing in me.
I am in my first year of undergrad at the University of Nevada, Reno. I am majoring in veterinary science with a minor in mathematics and possibly biology and chemistry. I am working very hard to get into the University of California, Davis veterinary school where I hope to become a veterinary neurosurgeon and further the understanding of cattle, livestock, and pets. I have many years of expensive schooling and the Reno Rodeo scholarship is helping me tremendously with the expenses of this goal. With my heavy course load and my research work, working a lot is not possible to help me pay for schooling. It is scholarships like this one that makes my goal financially achievable, I have to pay for college on my own and I would not be able to do that without the Reno Rodeo scholarship. This is the second year I have received a scholarship from Reno Rodeo and I cannot express how much they have helped me with the finances of schooling. They are absolutely amazing! Thank you Reno Rodeo!
I have been blessed by the Reno Rodeo Foundation for consecutive three years continuing my education at the University of Nevada-Reno! This non-profit organization has, without a doubt, relieved the strenuous financial burden that comes with being in college. I come from a single mother who works two jobs trying to put my sister and I through school and I can confidently say that without the Reno Rodeo Foundation, I would certainly not be here today.
I was invited to attend the annual luncheon last year where scholarship recipients were acknowledged and boy was I amazed! I've never felt more welcome and the sponsors were super kind and friendly. Clara and the entire RRF Team have been so helpful throughout the whole process and I thank them immensely!
The scholarship I received from the Reno Rodeo Foundation was extremely helpful for my journey to earn my Master of Social Work from the University of Nevada, Reno. I'm very grateful for the Foundation's commitment to supporting students in the Truckee Meadows. With this financial assistance, I was able to maintain a 4.0 GPA without having to stress about how I would pay for school. I will be forever grateful and the Reno Rodeo Foundation will always hold a special place in my heart.
Having been the Reno Rodeo Foundation scholarship recipient, I enabled myself to explore new horizons. I want to share and discuss the unique position I experienced. Not many people are aware that my mother lives off of Social Security due to her chronic illness. When I was a child, I had no motivation, because I thought Post-Secondary education was not accessible to me. This in turn caused my grades to deteriorate, because I had no drive or vision for success in my future. My mental health had a parallelistic relationship with my grades. I felt like I was in a never ending cycle of failure.
My family was living on a disability income, which was not quite sufficient to support a growing family. It is my goal in life to become financially stable enough to serve my family and other low-income communities. With this, I focused on my education in the pursuit of happiness. College and my education is incredibly important to me because it is the penultimate to live a financially stable life. College is all about my choices that my mother did not have due to predestined circumstances.
Due to my mother's disease, I have always been interested in the field of medicine. I have always been allured to human anatomy and physiology because it is a mysterious process that elicits life and function. The fact of a person being conscious and present by the interaction of cells is astonishing. The silver lining to my mother's horrendous disease turned out to be a blessing in disguise because it ignited my dedication for science.
With big aspirations of going into the medical field, it seemed unrealistic because I am a first-generation student going into a brave new world. I focused on my studies in high school and valued every second of my time to participate in a plethora of activities, by utilizing my time, I was able to accomplish many achievements. That being said, I was able to become a Reno Rodeo Scholarship recipient.
This scholarship allowed me to break mental barriers in which my past has created. I am now a Biology Major at the University of Nevada Reno. This scholarship has allowed me to get the full college experience because I had the luxury to live on campus. Being able to live on campus has made campus resources easily accessible. In this context, I was able to strive in my studies at UNR. WIth this scholarship, I did not have to work as much so I spent more time in my studies. I was able to get an immaculate internship through the ASUN organization on campus. I was a programming intern throughout the year, which allowed me to attain life-long friends, memories, and it allowed me to network within the Reno community. This scholarship is a gift that I could not thank the opportunity enough for.
The Reno Rodeo Foundation has not only helped pay for my tuition but as helped boost my confidence! Without the Reno Rodeo Scholarship, I would not be able to attend the University of Nevada, Reno to pursue what can help inspire others, just like they do.
The Reno Rodeo's commitment to serving the community is greatly apparent in their scholarship awards given to Nevada college students. I am very grateful to have received the Reno Rodeo Scholarship for two consecutive years as I complete my bachelors in nursing at UNR. Their generosity has offset the different nursing fees (clinical supplies, books, uniforms, and portions of tuition) which has given me more time to focus on studying our material. I will be graduating with my BSN in December 2020 and intend to practice in the Northern Nevada community. The Reno Rodeo supports Nevada students which directly supports the development of Nevada's workforce.
Thank you,
Sean Lacsamana
I cannot Thank the Reno Rodeo Association enough for all they have done to help the foster children in our communities year after year. They have generously provided my 4 foster grandchildren clothes through the Denim clothing Drive for 2 years now and when you have 4 kiddos to clothe it's a huge help! My kiddos have so much fun going to pick out clothes and the volunteer staff from the Reno Rodeo Association are wonderful! I grew up going to the Rodeo every year since I can remember and now to give these kids the same experience is wonderful.
We are adopting all 4 of these awesome kids and we will continue the tradition of enjoying the Reno rodeo every year.
Thank you everyone who makes all these donations and programs available to so many wonderful Foster children out here in the communities. Your dedication and hard work year after year is appreciated from the bottom of my hearts.
THANK YOU ALL!!!
The Reno Rodeo Foundation is such an extraordinary asset to our community ! I’ve been a foster and adoptive parent for almost 17 years and Reno Rodeo Foundation has put countless smiles on my kids’ faces over the years with toys for Christmas as well as helped clothe them! My autistic 12 yr old lives for the special kids rodeo and we love getting the tickets for our family for the rodeo from the Foundation. Having a family of 14, I can’t tell you how valuable Reno Rodeo Foundation has been to our family over the years! What an incredible team of volunteers they have ! They really love our kids and it shows! Thank you Clara and the whole RRF team!

My husband and I have been fostering for over 15 years . During this time the one constant that has supported families the greatest has been Reno Rodeo Foundation! My kids have been so blessed over the years with new clothes and toys and the Special Kids Rodeo as well as attending the regular rodeo as a family! We have adopted 9 kids and I guarantee that the Denim Distribution and the Rodeo have been huge highlights for them! Clara and all of the fabulous volunteers do their job tirelessly year after year and always with a smile on their face and love in their hearts . We can’t thank you enough ! The Fredeens
I am a foster/adoptive parent and can't thank the Reno Rodeo Foundation enough for all they do for the kids... our 2 special needs boys felt like Prince's at the 'special kids rodeo' , they were given gifts that they still cherish, wearing their cowboy hats, and have many memories of that day. Their smiles were priceless.
It makes me happy to see all they do for the kids most people have forgotten about.
I think our little guy had a crush on the Rodeo Queen :)
THANK YOU RENO RODEO, YOU ARE APPRECIATED
This foundation is true to their mission. I'm a foster parent and the things they do for foster children are unmatched in our community.
The Reno Rodeo has such wonderful people there to help at all events! I’m a Fostermom and they have provided clothes, toys and tickets for the children. Some of the children have never worn clothes that are their size, much less actually received a gift just for them. The excitement on the children’s faces is one of amazement!
This is a wonderful program!!!
I work for the Division of Child and Family Services in foster care licensing and I want to say THANK YOU to the Reno Rodeo Foundation. The RRF has been a wonderful community partner and they have done so much for our foster families and children. Even though we are in the middle of a pandemic, they STILL worked tirelessly and delivered much needed clothing to our foster children. We cannot thank them enough for their hard work and generosity!
I've been blessed to work with children in foster care for the last 14 years. During those 14 years the Reno Rodeo Foundation has been nothing short of miraculous in their support of children in our community! Whether it be the continuous clothing donations that provide clothing for children in foster care, hosting children for the special children's rodeo, welcoming groups to the rodeo in June, and so much more, they continue to work their magic! This organization is full of heart and spreads love within our vulnerable youth in care. Thank you Reno Rodeo Foundation for everything you do in our community!
I can't say thank you enough for everything the Reno Rodeo Foundation does to serve our foster families. The Reno Rodeo Foundation with their team of volunteers supports our foster children all year long from clothing, to Rodeo tickets, to toys during the holidays. It really does take a village to raise a child and we are lucky to have the Reno Rodeo Foundation in our village! We are so grateful to have the continued support of such a generous organization.
They are the BEST when it comes to helping the children of our area. They help our children all year long - not just during the Rodeo!
I have worked with the Reno Rodeo Foundation for what feels like a lifetime in supporting foster youth with clothing, suitcases, school supplies, basic hygiene supplies, Christmas presents, and thousands of smiles and hugs that their volunteers always have for the children!!!
The joy they have brought to children/families in inviting them to the Reno Rodeo events every year is immeasurable.
I personally say thanks for what they have meant and currently mean to this community. They never stop and are always trying to find other ways to support foster children and the foster parents who have opened their homes!

I have worked with the County now for over twenty years. One of the most enjoyable and memorable aspects of my career will always be the foster family outreach and support we have been able to provide solely because of our partnership with the Reno Rodeo Foundation. I am guessing that we are quickly approaching the millions mark in terms of the number of children they have outfitted over the years. They never stop asking, "How can we do more to serve, what is needed most, how about we add (x) so that families and children will be more supported?"
Through the dedication and heart and soul of the non-profit, Executive Director Clara Andriola, foster families are provided clothing, Christmas presents, shoes, rolling back packs, and even events during the annual Reno Rodeo.
Their volunteer base is like nothing I have ever encountered! They are dedicated, hard-working, and most importantly the same people year after year i.e. they LOVE being part of this organization and it is shows as if being part of a family.
I thank all of them for their work in supporting our organization and words can't express what it has meant over the years in serving our families and most importantly our kids.
Coming from a poorer family my only option to go to school was to take out large amounts of loans. Without the help from the Reno Rodeo Foundation I would not be able to finish my degree because of my financial status. Thankfully with their help I be one step closer to obtaining my dream.
The Reno Rodeo Foundation (RRF) is a tremendous asset to our community. They provide clothing, backpacks, toys, hygiene items, and books to children in need. The Second Judicial District Court, Reno, began a Reading Room project to provide a book to children who come to court. The Reading Room project is successful because of RRF. Through their hard work fundraising, the Court is able to give a book to every child who comes to court. Children look forward to picking out a book and they are delighted to leave with their own new book. In an otherwise stressful situation of coming to court, the books have also provided opportunities to open conversation between a child and the Court. During the last holiday season, RRF donated toys for children who came to court. The toys spread joy to all the kids and families, as well as to a lot of court staff!, throughout the entire holiday season. In the last few months, RRF started donating teddy bears to give to children who come to court. This is a wonderful gift and children love the teddy bears!
We are so fortunate to have such an incredible partnership with Reno Rodeo Foundation. Their dedication to helping children is amazing!
Greetings, I am writing in support of the tremendous benefits provided by the Reno Rodeo Foundation to families and children, in the Reno community. Frankly, I discovered them almost by accident. I work with an organization that wanted to make a donation in honor of my deceased wife. They asked me to find an Community Foundation that would address her passion to help children dealing with challenging health or family circumstances, so that they could experience Greater Joy and Happiness, Laughter and Love in their lives and for their families.
My wife rode in the Reno Rodeo Cattle Drive for nearly a decade and I remember her telling me a portion of the fees she paid, benefitted local children. After doing my due diligence and speaking with Clara Andriola, I soon realized the tremendous benefits and programs supported by the Reno Rodeo Foundation. I called my client to inform them and we agreed that there was no better way to honor Annie, and support families and children in need than by donating to the Reno Rodeo Foundation. I am so impressed by the work Clara and her team do in Reno. This is EXACTLY where my wife, Annie Welch would want her Memorial Donation to be invested and utilized. Ride on Clara and keep up your good works.
The Rodeo Foundation runs the Denim Drive which provides money to purchase clothes and receive contributions of clothes for kids who are separated from their parents and placed in foster homes and kids for whom no homes can be found and are placed in the "Kids Kottage". This is an amazing effort. I am one of the volunteers who purchases clothes for these special kids. We are able to fill bags with pajamas, jeans, shirts, socks and underwear for each child. A teddy bear and handmade blanket are usually included. 100% of the denim drive money is used for this purpose. Not many organizations can say that.
Clara and the team at the Reno Rodeo Foundation are exceptional! Thanks to the Reno Rodeo Foundation for always reaching out to support the patients at Renown Children's Hospital. The Reno Rodeo Foundation provides significant support to families in need of financial assistance during their most difficult times. Thank you, Reno Rodeo Foundation!
For several years I have worked with the Foundation. Under Clara's tutelage this organization has grown and steadfastly supported the Reno Rodeo , it's members and it's beneficiaries. Currently , they offer a number of scholarships . Our foundation had the pleasure of sponsoring the Al Evans Silver Spur scholarship. It was Al's true pleasure to also work with this most worthy organization.
I have been evolved with the RR Foundation for 25 years... it is by far the best charitable foundation. They are always looking for ways to give and ways to improve the community for our youth. Reaching out to a lot of Counties to help them as well in Northern Nevada. Helping the less privileged children and students with donations, food, cloths, even scholarships for students to improve their lives. I have helped them with events to make our Community aware of the needs of our children. Denim drive... is prime example of a very successful event... giving everything back to the Community it was donated in.
With Sincerity, Debbie Sprague
Working with Reno Rodeo Foundation has been rewarding to Elko County Family and Juvenile Court. Reno Rodeo Foundation has been extremely generous in sharing the love of reading to youth and their families in Elko County. They provided funding for our Reading Room which allows children to take a book and a stuffed animal home with them when their families appear in court. This makes the courtroom less traumatic for children and spreads the love of reading. The children are entertained during court procedures, allowing the parents and families to focus on issues at hand rather than calming an upset child. We love to see their excited faces as they see our Reading Room created with them in mind. The children love to browse and choose their own books, and they feel special when they get to take the book home. The generosity that Reno Rodeo Foundation has shown to the Elko County Family and Juvenile Court is immeasurable. Clara Andriola and her staff have gone above and beyond to ensure that the children who come to our courtroom leave with a smile, and for that we are grateful. Thank you for allowing us to share the love of reading with our local families. The smiles on their faces are eternally rewarding as there is true magic in the smile of a child.
I nominated little girl diagnosed with leukemia . She spent 3 years battling the disease undergoing chemotherapy and many hospitalizations. She was always sweet, brave and stoic. Many times she had to travel to Oakland Children's Hospital to receive her treatments since the services she required were not available to her in Reno. Her loving family consisted of her mother, 4 siblings and grandmother. She and all her siblings had been foster children and then adopted by their foster mother. Even after missing over a 1.5 years of school she returned and made straight A's!
The Reno Rodeo Foundation awarded her and her family a check to take a well deserved fun vacation this past summer after her treatments were all complete. I was so amazed at the Reno Rodeo Foundation and their kindness, organization, caring and generosity.
Clare Andriola was so wonderful! She shows so much passion for her job. She quickly rearranged the presentation since the child was in the hospital at the time and made it all work out well.
Thank you Reno Rodeo Foundation!
This nonprofit is such a feel-good entity for our town, as well as outlying areas. Kids are blessed in receiving grants/scholarships to aid in upper levels of education. We have an amazingly beautiful TIER ONE college, UNR, and it’s so nice to be able to keep local talent local w the aid of this foundations scholarships.
Some not on the college path (yet) are aided w clothing, toys, and necessities for living. Some of These kids have had to deal w abuse, neglect, abandonment, you name it. And to see them light up when they get to choose clean, new items at the denim drive, is really something.
The projects of the foundation trickle into all parts of our community. It really is hard to find someone who hasn’t helped or been helped w their projects.
This nonprofit organization has emotionally and financially supported me through my college endeavors and I could never thank them enough for that. It's full of caring people who yearn to see students succeed.
The Reno Rodeo Foundation works tirelessly to constantly help give back to our community. They have a denim drive that gives directly to 14 counties in Nevada and helps cloth kids in need. These kids are usually in situations they don’t understand and the Reno Rodeo Foundation gives them a sense of self by giving them their own suitcase and items. Clara Andriola is such an inspiration to our community! Thank you for all you do!
Reno Rodeo Foundation has been so generous to me. They have given me a scholarship to help me be able to afford college. Without them college would be so much more stressful and I am so lucky to have received a scholarship from them. They are kind and helpful and really want us to succeed. I couldn’t do it without them.
Hello! My names Faria Teyana and Reno Rodeo scholarship awarded me not only helped me with college tuition but they made me feel welcome at the Reno Rodeo Luncheon. They had good food and amazing sponsors who were very friendly. The scholarship was automatically added to my tuition and I didn’t have to do a single thing.
We love the Reno Rodeo Foundation! It is truly amazing to see how they help our community members and families! ❤️
I have been a foster parent for many years in our community and want to give the most heartfelt thank you to Reno Rodeo Foundation and a special thanks to the Executive Director Clara Andriola. Their tireless efforts throughout our community are first class. The countless amount of hours and dollars given by the Reno Rodeo Foundation to our community is immeasurable. I am so grateful for all this organization has done and continues to do with the foster children within our community from clothing to gifts along with the Reading Roundup program as the members travel to the elementary schools to make an impact on the importance of reading to their partnering with Artown and the local non-profit junior rodoeo organization to help promote awareness in the next generation of rodeo. The foundation provides grants and scholarships for further education and also promotes breast cancer awareness at local hospitals. All of the members are a driving force within the community assisting with so many programs and organizations to reach out and make things happen! Thank you Clara Andriola and the Reno Rodeo Foundation for all you have done and continue to do within our community. I am truly honored and humbled to be a very small part in all your amazing efforts.
We feel incredibly thankful and blessed to have received the support and help of the Reno Rodeo Foundation this year (2018). They are truly an amazing organization that goes out of their way to help kids and families in their community. They are positive, kind, generous, and caring. I know of no other community organization that we have had experience with that shows such a outpouring of love to so many. Our son has been fighting long term health issues related to a rare form of a rare disease called Autoimmune Encephalitis with a resulting Autoimmune Epilepsy. He has many doctors visits, immunotherapy infusion treatments, and we travel 8 hours to get the specialized health care that he needs. The Reno Rodeo Foundation helped lift the spirits of our son and gave us an overwhelming feeling of support as we continue on this hard journey. Words cannot truly express how much their actions make a difference in the lives of others.
The Reno Rodeo Foundation is AMAZING. They have helped build a gymnasium with a computer lab and classroom on the Kids Kampus. They hold clothing drives throughout the year that help clothe kids who are placed into foster care throughout the community. These kids come in with only the clothing on their back and leave with a bag full of new clothes that help them restart their life -from having nothing to having something nice. Additionally, they treat kids to rodeo events every year and have nominated several kids with special needs to be a part of the special kids rodeo- which is an AMAZING experience for them. I can't say enough about the good things that the Reno Rodeo does for kids in our community!
We are so thankful for having such a great organization in our community. My family received $10,000 from the Reno Rodeo Foundation this year and their help has greatly improved our ability to cover travel expenses and to safely transport our girls to see their healthcare specialists in California. Not only did the foundation staff help us with travel expenses, they also brought us along to participate during the Reno Rodeo parade and throughout the Rodeo events. Thanks so much for being awesome and we look forward to seeing you at the Rodeo next year to say hi.
From Carson Tahoe Cancer Center-The Reno Rodeo Foundation is an amazing nonprofit in our community! Clara Andriola and Bill Summy as well as the entire Rodeo Foundation have impacted our community and patients in a major way. At this years event one of our younger patients, William, was the recipient of the Reno Rodeo Wish. William is a warm-hearted, caring, loving, funny and courageous boy that we are blessed to know. He has a dedicated, supportive and loving family that advocates for him daily. The Reno Rodeo Wish award allowed William and his family to spend quality time outside of the hospitals and not have to worry as much about the numerous concerns and obligation of treatments. This wish was the perfect example of giving back and advocating for a family who deserved the extra support. It proves that they are not fighting a battle alone and are supported by a larger community. It was an honor to work alongside the Reno Rodeo Foundation to surprise William and his family with such a wonderful gift. Clara and Bill took time out of their busy schedules to come and visit William while being treated in the Cancer Center. The amount of support that these two individuals displayed to William and his family is only a small amount of the time and dedication they provide to the community. The Carson Tahoe Cancer Center's Ambulatory Infusion Center and entire Carson Tahoe Health will forever be thankful to the Reno Rodeo Foundation for their generosity and commitment to our community.
Partnering and volunteering with the Reno Rodeo Foundation on some projects has been so rewarding, Seeing the miles on the kids faces are worth their weight in gold. The foundation brings so much to children in our community, from Art Town, to Denim drive, to supporting and providing grants to other non profit organizations and scholarships for those kids moving into college. You will always find the Reno Rodeo foundation in the forefront of promoting the sport of rodeo throughout our community and giving a hand up to rodeo kids and foster kids at every opportunity.
The Reno Rodeo Foundation is incredible. The services and outreach they provide helps so many of our youth in our area. From the denim drive to the storytelling in the park they go above and beyond to help as many children as possible. I really enjoyed watching the children enjoy their day in the park. I truly believe in this foundation and all do.
From Carson Tahoe Health - A special thank you to the Reno Rodeo Foundation as they presented a check for $6,500 to one of our AIC patients, 10-year old William Strange. William, who has gone through extensive treatment for last 2 years. He was nominated by Carson Tahoe nurse, Maria Sampang, and then chosen by the Reno Rodeo Foundation to receive the money. William’s mom, dad, and three brothers used the money to take a camping trip this summer in between William’s treatments. Additionally, William and his family were able to attend the Reno Rodeo Parade as VIP guests!
Throughout the process, the Reno Rodeo Foundation has been wonderful with keeping the hospital notified, as well as showing great empathy and care for the Strange family. We are so grateful to have worked with this organization to help one of our patients.
The Reno Rodeo Foundation is an amazing organization who continually gives to this community. Children in this community are consistently blessed by this organization. The foster children I work with receive clothing, school supplies and even toys during the holidays through the Reno Rodeo Foundation and this is only a small piece of what the good works they do in this community. Always working for the good!
I have been involved with the Reno Rodeo Foundation for 25 years or so. After having been Muscular Dystrophy Director for 27 years I realize how very much the Reno Rodeo Foundation does for the youth in our community. From Denim Drive and distribution to the Reading Roundup which I also volunteer with, the Reno Rodeo Foundation is a top notch organization. I love the look in these kids eyes when we do the distribution. Some of these kids have nothing. To be able to provide them with new clothes is a treat for me too. Last year I helped with the Toy Distribution and that was such a fantastic event. I am proud to be a volunteer with this organization. Bill Richards
Our family Foundation, Louis and Genevieve Capurro Family Foundation, has been lucky enough to be involved with the Reno Rodeo Foundation for several years. It has been our pleasure to witness the great work that they do for our local community. Their Reading Round-up Program offers free books to elementary school children. Some of whom have never been able to have books of their own in their home! The Wish Program gives the opportunity to have simple home care requests to actual family excursions to local children with severe health issues. These "wishes" are such a blessing, not only for the children but also the rest of family that suffers right along with them. The Reno Rodeo Foundation gives so much to our community and we are honored to be involved with all they do!
I am a foster/adoptive parent in the Reno/Sparks Community and am so thrilled that the Reno Rodeo Foundation has generously chosen to assist us by collected clothes and toys for children in fostercare. I look forward to the events where we get to chose new clothes for the children we care for but the best part is seeing all the friendly volunteers as they smile and thank us for what we do. This type of acknowledgement means the world to us. This is a phenomenal non-profit and their volunteers are the best!!! Thank you so much for all YOU do!!!
Having retired from a life time of working with children and the agencies that serve them, when I became involved with the Reno Rodeo Foundation I was truly surprised by the depth and commitment of the foundations contribution to the children of northern Nevada. From scholarships for worthy students to toy and clothes distribution directed to foster children, the community has been well served by the foundation. The success of the foundation can be attributed to the number and caliber of volunteers and the leadership of the directer, Clara Andriola. The Reno Rodeo Foundation is an excellent model for other communities to follow.
Reno Rodeo Foundation is a wonderful non profit organizing. Not only do all the volunteers collect clothing for our foster youth they also collect toys for hundreds of children in Northern Nevada. When ever I have gone to a drive the volunteers take their time helping you and talking to the children like the child is a family member of their own. Thank you for just being extra kind.
The Reno Rodeo Foundation is an amazing organization. My daughter had the honor of being a Reno Rodeo foundation wish recipient and we will always cherish this experience. The people are extraordinary and go above and beyond to positively impact our community and the lives of those within it. I can’t think of a more deserving organization.
I have worked with the Reno Rodeo Foundation for several years now. From Denim Drive and Distribution to Toy Distribution and scholarships as well as Reading Roundup and now the Reading Rooms at the Justice Court the Reno Rodeo Foundation helps so many children in our community. In 14 Northern Nevada Counties to be exact. A fair number of these kids are pulled out of their homes in the middle of the night with nothing but the clothes on their back. The Reno Rodeo Foundation makes certain that these kids have clothes of their own for the first time in some cases. Their toy Distribution last year helped the less fortunate in our community and some were taken to the homeless camps as well so that those who have nothing had some Christmas in their lives. Scholarships allow kids without the means of doing so to seek higher education. Reading Roundup gives 25 Title 1 schools tools to help first graders with literacy. As far as I’m concerned the Reno Rodeo Foundation is the best non-profit organization in Northern Nevada.
