Mission: To make material sustainability and recycling transparent and accessible through art, craft, and education; to create a local recycling system that is easy to understand; and to promote more sustainable living and a healthy environment. Vision: We envision a world where plastic consumption and waste is greatly reduced and that people can actively reimagine their waste. Reimagined Recycling rethinks plastic recycling in Pittsburgh by creating a transparent system of sorting, shredding, and re-crafting #5 plastics on a local level. Our work includes direct material repurposing, processing recycled #5 plastic material into new products, and promoting educational programs to the community.
