We are so thankful for Reece’s Rainbow! We first heard about Reece’s Rainbow when friends of ours were adopting two separate times. We donated to Reece’s Rainbow to help them bring their daughters Home. Earlier this year, we started the process to adopt a little girl who is on Reece’s Rainbow and have been thankful for the support of everyone with Reece’s Rainbow and the community who has helped us bring our baby home!
Without Reece's Rainbow, we wouldn't have found our daughter. I have also been volunteering for them for many years; it's one of the highlights of my life!

Without Reece's Rainbow, we wouldn't have our daughter. In the decade I've been in their orbit, I have developed hundreds of friendships with wonderful people, learned so much about special needs and family preservation, been inspired to earn a master's degree in International Community Development and so much more. Wonderful organization with incredibly dedicated employees!
Reece's Rainbow helped us bring home our son! Without their advocacy, support of adoption, facilitation of high very tightly knit community and providing grants, we would not have been able to do this!! They are an amazing group who truly cares for these kids, is prompt in responding to questions and who I have no hesitations about recommending to others or supporting financially!
They do such amazing work, not only by advocating for children who need families but also by helping committed families with grants to help with the expense of adoption.
I have used Reece's Rainbow twice and will continue to help the organization.

Reece's Rainbow does a wonderful job of advocating for children with special needs in orphanages around the world. If it wasn't for their advocacy, I never would have realized the plight of children with disabilities throughout the world and I never would have adopted my daughter.
They helped us adopt 5 children and since have provided so much support through the community and yearly reunions. They are finically responsible and doing amazing work to get kids with special needs out of orphanages and into comes.
I LOVE Reeces Rainbow! We found our daughter Mia through Reeces Rainbow, she is Maura on Reeces Rainbow. We have always had a heart for international adoption and have always had a heart for special needs so this resource is to thank for linking the two, special needs and international adoption. This site quickly led us to our daughter. We cannot wait to bring our little Mia home. The wait (due to covid it has been MUCH longer than expected) has been excruciating but we are hopeful and sure that God will finish what He started! WORTH THE WAIT, SHE IS OUR BEST YES!
With the help of Reese's Rainbow we adopted 9 children and will be adopting our 10th this fall. Without the generous support and guidance our family would have not found these beautiful children.
Reece's Rainbow is an amazing organization that fosters a community of awareness and support in helping children with special needs be united with families. The organization not only helps families find children, but helps them fundraise within their network of supporters through various types of grants. Our son is a beautiful addition to our family and he wouldn't be with us if it wasn't for Reece's Rainbow and its amazing teamwork of support.

Thank you LOVE this!
My family twice had a Family Sponsorship Page on Reece’s Rainbow, fundraising for our International adoptions of children with special needs. Without the support of the Reece’s Rainbow community, I’m not sure we could have pulled it off!

So glad your girls are home! Thank you!

Reece’s Rainbow has changed my family’s life! Because of this wonderful organization, we found our beautiful Ukrainian daughter, and our family is significantly improved by her presence. We felt supported every step of the adoption process, and made life long friends along the way, as well. I’m so thankful for this organization, and the work they’re doing for orphans with special needs around the world!

LOVE the recent photo of her! She is beautiful! Thank you for your review! We have such an amazing community of families and advocates. ❤️
Reece’s Rainbow does incredible work. I have watched dozens of families find each other through their advocacy. The people who work for and support the agency are truly a community. They are also very easy to work with, quick to communicate, and willing to do anything to help a child find their forever home. I love this organization and highly recommend them to anyone looking to support orphaned and vulnerable children.
Years ago when we first thought about adoption we did not feel international adoption was possible for us. Then we saw our daughter listed on Reeces Rainbow. We knew that she was our daughter and if it wasn't for Reeces Rainbow we would never have found her,no would we have thought we could do it if she had not had a grant started. Reeces Rainbow was a blessing to us 3 times as we went back two more times due to their support and advocating.
We have supported Reece’s Rainbow in the past and they are a great organization doing great work. We feel very confident supporting their efforts.
I have been a supporter of Reece’s Rainbow for nearly a decade. I’ve watched child after child, family after family go through the process of adoption. I love the community and the administration. They care about the kids, first and foremost. Such a beautiful cause to be a part of.
We love Reece’s Rainbow! Both of our youngest children have Down syndrome and were adopted from Taiwan. The first one was finalized in February of 2013 and our second one in August 2018. Reece’s Rainbow played a big part in helping us raise the funds needed to pay for the process to bring them home. They handle themselves kindly and professionally and have a heart for special needs adoption.
We are so thankful for Reece's Rainbow! We found eight of our children with the help of Reece's Rainbow. They were such a great help to us in getting them home as well. Everyone should search their pages and let God open their heart to a waiting child.
Reece's Rainbow is a wonderful charity! They have helped thousands of children find their families. We found our son on Reece's Rainbow and adopted him in 2017. We will forever be grateful to Reece's Rainbow and will always support them.

Oh precious!! Thank you so much! We do have the most amazing families and advocates! ❤️
We found three of our children on Reece's Rainbow! All three of our babes have special needs and all three were destined to spend the rest of their lives in institutes in their country. We are grateful for an organization that works to find special needs children and be their voice!

LOVE LOVE LOVE! Julia you and Rob are not only one of the most amazing families but also you have been such a strong advocate (warrior) too! THANK YOU! God bless you all! ❤️❤️❤️

We found our son through Reece's Rainbow. It is an amazing grant ministry! Over 1,000 special needs children have found families because of RR! It is an amazing way to advocate for children who would otherwise be locked away forever.
Our family is so so grateful for Reece’s Rainbow! We added six children in 2 1/2 years from three different countries! It would have been impossible for us without RR. The cost to adopt overseas is huge but with RR we had hope:) The cost isn’t the only thing we’ve gained though; The RR community has become family to us! We celebrate together, share frustrations as well as joys, advocate, and mourn together. This experience has been life changing because of RR!

LucilleBrown 01/23/2019
Wow wow wow! LOOK at all of you!! THIS is what makes our job worthwhile! Seeing the children HOME and THRIVING! Thank you so much!
Reece's Rainbow is a excellent organization that truly cares about their mission and the families they help. I am privileged to be a witness to all of the amazing stories that unfold with the help of Reece's Rainbow.

LucilleBrown 01/23/2019
Thank you so much! We could not do this nor could our families without the help of our amazing donors and advocates! THANK YOU!
Reeves Rainbow advocated and created grants for our children before we found them. We have found 4 of our children through them and received grants to help with there adoption costs making the adoption possible. The amazing support group has helped us before. during and after our adoptions. We are so thankful for all their help and their involvement helping families and orphans.

LucilleBrown 01/23/2019
We are so thankful for our families. It is the families that do the hard work! So good to see how good they are doing!! Thank you!
Our family is forever changed for the better because of the efforts of Reece’s Rainbow. We found our daughter through them. We can’t thank them enough!! Highest morals and friendliest staff. Thanks from the bottom of our hearts!!

Oh thank you! AND LOOK at her! ❤️ Gorgeous! We are so thankful for our families!
I could never say enough about Reece’s Rainbow. This organization runs on integrity, morals, and a true heart for orphans with special needs around the world. Because of them, I have two amazing kids from Ukraine home with me! I doubt you could find a more amazing non-profit out there! THANK TOU REECES RAINBOW! You’ve changed so many lives, including my own.

LucilleBrown 01/23/2019
We surely could never find one with as wonderful of families and advocates! Our families have changed our lives, as well. Thank you! ❤️
After advocating for the children of Reece's Rainbow for many years, my husband and I jumped on board and adopted two disabled from Eastern Europe last year. Both boys were wasting away in an institution, weighing just 33lbs at age 11. Thanks to Reece's Rainbow, we were able to raise the money to bring them home AND they both received huge adoption grants !! Without RR, I don't believe this would have been possible ! They are truly an amazing organization, who do everything possible to help these kids find their families AND help those families bring them home !!

LucilleBrown 01/20/2019
Love the pyjamas! They already look SO much happier and are doing brilliantly! ❤️
Reece's Rainbow helped us find and bring home our precious daughter!! Through their network of families, their grants, and their advocacy, we now have a community of support that helped not only during, but now after our adoption process. Without Reece's Rainbow we would never have found our little girl who has been a blessing to our lives since the moment we met her

LucilleBrown 01/20/2019
She is beautiful! Thank you so much for your review! I love seeing the at home photos, seeing how they just come alive in a family! ❤️
Reece's Rainbow has been essential to us. We found our son through them. Not only did they walk us through the steps before we even contacted an agency, quickly responding to all of our questions, they helped us raise the funds to complete our adoption. We are so thankful for everyone with Reece's Rainbow and all of their hard work getting children's faces seen and supporting parents who say "yes."
This organization is a tremendous blessing for families adopting! They are a huge part of the reason we were able to adopt again! So thankful for them!
Reece's Rainbow is so supportive to adoptive families. If it weren't for their tireless advocating I would never have been able to achieve my lifelong dreams of motherhood! Thank you Reece's Rainbow for advocating for orphaned children with disabilities!!
We have followed Reece’s Rainbow since 2010 or 2011. Now we have the pleasure of using their services as we bring a little one with special needs into our family. I advocate for them whenever I can. What they are doing is unique and so important!
This is truly a great nonprofit! It's helping to find special needs children from all over the world families. Child are now growing healthy and strong instead of dying in cribs unnoticed by anyone.
I found Reece's Rainbow through a posting on Facebook. There we found our daughter. They were incredibly helpful and do amazing work. We have been home just 10 months with our daughter and without Reece's Rainbow we would have never found her.
Reece 's Rainbow not only helped us identify our children and fundraise, but have provided resources and a community of life long relationships. We are forever grateful!
Reece's rainbow is helping us bring our son home if not for them he would still be in the shadows of an orphanage with no family. They have help literally thousands of children fine homes, our family thank them from the bottom of our hearts
Great organization that helps people get their children home! As a family, we anxiously look forward to Christmas when we can choose a new child to pray for and donate to their adoption grant.
We found Reece's Rainbow in a round about way after we had already decided to adopt our daughter with Down syndrome. While on the journey Reece's Rainbow has been wonderful in their support and advocacy. The board members and community are very involved and it is nothing short of a miracle with what they accomplish with so little. I know they do their very best to make sure the bulk of donation dollars go where they need to, the families in the trenches. Thanks Reece's Rainbow for the support.
We are in the process of adopting a baby boy with Down syndrome through Reece's Rainbow. We are so proud to be able to be part of this wonderful organization. They are so supportive and helpful and truly love these children and families. Lord willing, we hope to be active in Reece's Rainbow for years to come through adopting and raising support and awareness! We LOVE what Reece's Rainbow is, does, and everyone that is a part of it!
Reece'a Rainbow has been an incredible resource for us as an adoptive family! The first time we adopted, we did not have the RR community, support, and resources and we struggled with every aspect of our adoption. Thanks to RR, we have hasn't the best experience during our adoption and know we will continue to benefit from all the support and resources they give post-adoption! Can't say enough how thankful we are for them and ALL they do!
We found both of our chidren through this wonderful organization and received large grants for both. We will be forever grateful for how Reece's Rainbow helped us bring our son and daughter home!
As a parent who has adopted special needs children, I was thrilled to get to know Reece's Rainbow and all they do for orphans and their families/potential families. This organization helps the entire community from orphans to families to advocates and more.
This isn't just a foundation, this is a community that work together with and for each other and those in need.
Children need families. Reece's Rainbow helps to bring together the children in need with their families.

After much research, we chose Reece's Rainbow and the children and families associated with them to be the receivers of our donation dollars. They are an amazing organization who help many children and families.
We have had nothing but positive interactions with everyone involved and look forward to many more years of advocating. This ministry is helping to save the lost children.
Reece's Rainbow brought our attention to the plight of overseas orphans with disabilities. We adopted our daughter in 2010, with the help of Reece's Rainbow, and are forever grateful. Reece's Rainbow is so much more than a Grant Foundation; it's a community of advocates and families, working together for the children.
We found our adopted daughter through Reece's Rainbow in 2010 and are so grateful this organization exists to advocate for those who are so in need of a forever family!
I had quietly watched this group for over a year when I came across our future sons photo. They are a wonderful organization and I am thankful for them and their support.
Reece's Rainbow has helped me 3 times to adopt! My first child has Down Syndrome and the other two have complex medical issues. Without their help, my children would never have been able to come home! International adoption is so expensive, but the need is so great. Without Reece's Rainbow, countless kids would be dying in these orphanages (and unfortunately, many have already died while waiting for a family). My family is SO grateful for this organization and what it does for kids and for families!!
As a parent of a disabled child I think it is wonderful that Reece's Rainbow is raising awareness about the conditions in which disabled orphans exist in some countries; and that they are finding families and funding adoptions for these children.
We are in love with Reece's Rainbow. They helped us find and adopt our daughter in 2015. We had such a smooth, easy time working with them. They treated us with dignity and we know that they are doing what they do because their hearts are in it. I would highly recommend them to anyone
Our hearts were touched by Reece's Rainbow many years ago and has forever changed our lives. Many years ago we came across this incredible foundation who has worked hard to help children find families. It touched our hearts so much we follow their webpage closely and watched as children were adopted. We love to help support Reeces Rainbow it is so great knowing you are helping children find families, or families get their children home. After several years we came across a little girl who's picture forever changed our hearts! We are now blessed to call her our daughter! Thanks not only to Reeces Rainbow who helped us find her, but also for the support they gave us financially and emotionally through out the process!
Reece's Rainbow has been instrumental in the adoption process of our little girl! The way they advocate for orphans is amazing- what a big heart this organization has! They have been the best resource for information as we navigate our first international adoption. The level of support is outstanding. The truly care about every child.
I have never experienced the level of support and encouragement that Reece's Rainbow provides. I feel such a sense of community here and their dedication to helping parents find their children and bring them home is bar none. Just look at all the before and after photos to see just what Reece's Rainbow helps to accomplish! I am so Grateful to have found my way here. Thank you so much for what you do!
When I just "happened" upon Reece's Rainbow 6 yrs ago I had no idea the impact it would have on our lives, and the lives of so many others. We now have 2 sons that we would not have had it not been for Reece's Rainbow. Their advocacy for kiddos with Down Syndrome and other special needs have helped many unloved, uncared for, unknown about children find families that now call them sons and daughters and love them unconditionally. And we are one of those families. Thank you RR team for all you do for these precious kiddos.
As the parent of a child with Down syndrome, RR is near and dear to my heart! A wonderful organization doing amazing work! Proof is in the "Already Home" photos of their website!
We adopted our two sons through Reece's Rainbow, I could not be more grateful to them for helping us find our boys. Recee's Rainbow is an amazing organization! ❤️❤️
We found our two sons through Reece's Rainbow. They are a fantastic organization that brings awareness to children who wait for families and raise the funds to help with adoption expenses. International doption costs typically range from $26-36,000. People can donate to a specific child or family through RR and all of their donations are tax deductible. We were literally able to adopt a second son because of these donations. Because of RR and the generous donors, two orphans were able to have a family of their own. Love Reece's Rainbow and the staff that works tirelessly on behalf of orphaned children around the globe!
This nonprofit does amazing work promoting the adoption of special needs children. The financial support raised through donations helps so many of the children find homes!
We found Reeces Rainbow through a friend. We are now adopting our son from Eastern Europe. RR has been amazing. They support 100% the entire journey. They are like one big giant family. Everyone cares about everyone else. You feel the love through the pages they display. So honored to have met them and now be a part of this family.
We found the boy who would become our son on Reece's Rainbow. Everyone is very professional and dedicated to finding homes for all of the children who are listed...and beyond. I also found a community of other adoptive families and others who believe in the cause of adoption and were willing to advocate for them! We were able to be fully funded for our adoption due to the assistance of Reece's Rainbow's grant program and we couldn't be more pleased or thankful!!
They help families come together by poating pictures of available orphans that need to be adopted who have special needs. I have found 2 beautiful children from this site. I can't wait to bring them home. Reece's Rainbows made it possible by helping us get completely funded and raise notice and awareness for these little ones.
Reecesrainbow has been such a blessing for our family. As we are currently preparing to bring our precious little girl home in one week, we sit in awe of what God has done through the donations people have given. I love how this foundation empowers families to be able to adopt. Without their help, many probably would not financially ever be able to do it. What and incredible foundation!!
We found both our sons through Reece's Rainbow in two separate adoptions. Both boys had grant money in their accounts and we received everything we were supposed to. We also were able to raise funds through Reece's Rainbow for our adoptions and again - we received everything in a timely manner. We found RR to be extremely ethical and very honest with us. Reece's Rainbow has helped over 1,000 children find their forever families through advocacy and raising grant money. Without their voice the vast majority of those children would never have been found.
Reece's Rainbow was the reason we discovered the reality of foreign orphanages in the first place. And the very large grant we received from them is the reason my son is home from China and still alive today.

I am currently in China picking up my two boys from orphanages there, with nearly half of the money from our adoption coming from donations to Reece's Rainbow that then came to us, a little over $20,000! We found one of our son's through Reece's Rainbow and one through China's shared list. This organization does everything they can to help parents adopt children with special needs, both through the grants they give and through the services they provide during the process. Their organization has also been invaluable for meeting other parents who have children with special needs and developing relationships that are deep and lasting. Adoption is a very difficult and stressful thing. Reece's Rainbow and the other Reece's Rainbow families literally helped me keep my sanity as we went through this process. I will be sticking with them for years to come as an advocate to help other orphans find homes and if I do ever chose to adopt again, I will be doing it using all the Reece's Rainbow services I can.
We found Reece's Rainbow when we were looking to expand our family. We were interested in a child with special needs to share our happy home with. We found our girl on RR. Or rather she found us!! That beautiful smile jumped off the page and right into our hearts!! Reeces Rainbow helped us throughout our entire adoption process. They were there for any questions no matter how big or small and most importantly, got back to us right away. In a little over a year, we had our daughter home and our biggest thanks goes to RR because without them, we would have never had the funds to adopt our girl. This organization and their wonderful staff has given us one of the best experiences in our lives. One we will cherish forever. And we will cherish our daughter forever. We have made some life long friends here and have an awesome support system with RR. I highly recommend them to anyone who would like to add a beautiful child to their family with special needs!
Reece's Rainbow does so much for so many kids! I whole heartedly recommend them as a worthwhile origination to support!
If it would not have been for Reece's Rainbow, our children would not be home today. Instead they would be locked away in an institution. So thankful!
I traveled with an adopting family to help with their newest addition, and Reece's Rainbow was fantastic. They are a wonderful organization who help both children waiting to be adopted as well as families on the road to adoption. The funds were readily available when we (the adopting family) needed them once we were in country, and they were helpful in many other aspects. As a community they are fabulous as well.
I always know exactly where every penny of my donations are going, they are very transparent about their funding, and that is one reason I so highly recommend them. They do a phenomenal job.
What an amazing foundation! We adopted two children from China in the summer of 2015 and we could not have done it without Reece's Rainbow. The staff are like family to those that adopt, advocate, and raise funds for the waiting children. Andrea, lovingly known as "Auntie" to all the children listed and adopted through Reece's Rainbow, has created a foundation doing miracle work for children with special needs from all over the world! We love Reece's Rainbow!!
Amazing organization! From raising awareness to advocacy and to adoption there is something for everyone to get involved to be the hands and feet of Jesus
I have been a donor for Reece's Rainbow for 6 years, and helped not only waiting orphans, but adopting families as well. While there are sometimes issues within the supporters and between staff and supporters/adoptive parents, the good far outweighs the bad. Any company, non profit or not, is going to have problems from time to time, that's just the way life is. The bottom line is that for RR it's always about the kids. I've only seen huge benefits to orphans with special needs, a group of children often forgotten and over looked. I've witnessed miraculous transformations of children near death, totally locked inside themselves, become beautiful butterflies, healthy and loved. I've seen this organization have a huge hand in the adoption of hundreds of children who would have otherwise perished in their orphanages and institutions. I have seen hundreds of thousands of dollars go to assist with these adoptions. It's truly a remarkable thing. I feel terrible that anyone ever had a negative experience with RR. I would hope they had taken their issues up with the appropriate staff. RR is truly saving lives every day.
Reece's Rainbow has been wonderful! Their staff has provided quick responses to questions and has been very helpful every step of the way!
Amazing organization. Almost 2 years ago we saw a profile for a child who was being advocated for on their site. Now he is our son. Very friendly loving organization that is 100% for chidren finding families. We had an amazing experience and now consider some of the other members an extension of our family. Love love love this organization.
we worked with RR several times. I found them helpful and easy to work with. I wouldn't hesitate to work with them again. we worked with them in our 2009 , 2010 and 2014 adoptions. They are a worthy cause and we have had many interactions with them. Thanks for all you do RR!
I found my 3 adopted children on the Reece's Rainbow page. They all have down syndrome and they all are loved! We had no idea how to do an adoption or an international adoption when we began our adoption journey. With help from Reece's Rainbow and the staff we have been able to complete 3 adoptions. They answered all my questions in a timely manner and had great resources. Not only are the staff helpful but I have found a great supportive family with Reece's Rainbow. I donate every month to help other families and children complete their forever families. This is a wonderful non-profit and the money that is donated truly does go to help the families. We would not have been able to adopt without the help from Reece's Rainbow.
I was once a fan of Reeces Rainbows. I was even matched with a boy on theirphotolisting site. I raised $1000 to his FSP, did all of the homestudy paperwork and even all of the older child adoption paperwork! When the agency submitted my paperwork, they found out the childs picture had been plucked of a regional fost/adopt site and he was not even legally free for adoption. reeces Rainbows stated that they would redistribute this childs FSP (which had a substanotal amount raised by other people as well) to anyone I wished. The money was not transferred. It just disappeared. I foind out through this process that this photolisting is completely illegal, many of the children are not available for adoption, yet funds are raised for them that sit in phony FSPs. unethical and illegal!

ReecesRainbow 01/28/2016
False. 1) RR advocates and fundraises for children who are legally eligible for international adoption. There is no benefit to anyone to list children who are not available. This process is fraught with unexpected change, including the availability of a child for numerous possible reasons. 2) Every cent received by RR is fully accounted for and audited. If you have questions about where/why/how/when/to whom those funds you raised were gifted to, please ask.
I really wish I could write a great review for them, and 3 years ago I would have. Sadly, however, we dealt with them with our last adoption and was treated terribly. The amount of corruption in this organization is astounding. The more we uncovered throughout our adoption process, the more sick we felt for even trying to work with/through them. Money appears and disappears, along with children on their site, if things do not go in favor of their organization. We adopted a child on their site WITHOUT using their facilitator (because, let me tell you, a book can be written on the amount of illegal activity performed by their facilitator), and we received nasty messages from someone else who wanted our son and was using their facilitator. By the time our adoption was finished it made me ill that I ever even supported this organization at one time. It's sad, because their CAUSE is great, but their leadership and the way they run this orginization is dirty and corrupt :(.

ReecesRainbow 01/28/2016
Every cent received by RR is fully accounted for and audited. If you have questions about where/why/how/when/to whom those funds you raised were gifted to, please ask. In addition, RR is not involved in your actual adoption process. We are here to assist you with fundraising only. If you have concerns about your agency or facilitation team, please refer your questions and negative comments to them.
Reece's Rainbow is made up of vast network of laborers who do it ALL for the children! They are diverse, comical, human, trans-global, and loving. They mentor adoptive parents before, during, and after the international adoption process. Most of all, they mass-communicate monstrous fundraising needs, and then streamline a family's need to so many people in such a reputable and clear way that truly, mountains are moved for families who desire to adopt all kinds of children from all kinds of countries. We have adopted two boys with Down Syndrome from Ukraine with Reece's Rainbow. I would NEVER adopt internationally without RR. What is so beautiful about RR is the unified teamwork of so many people -- web designers, grant-writers, bloggers, big donors, knitters and quilters and crafters, adoptive parents, prayer warriors, Ukrainian taxi drivers who love kids, etc etc. It is a beautiful thing --- from a parent who has spent months with RR laborers!
Reece's Rainbow helped us find our son! We are so thankful for this organization. We have only had positive experiences with Reece's Rainbow!! And I especially love the community of adoptive friends I have made through this organization. It's the best!! My advice is to read and understand Reece's Rainbow's policies very very well before starting the commitment process. They are good policies and rightful for Reece's Rainbow to have....... but the few who have been unhappy.......haven't. If a person doesn't like the policies then it is their right to choose a different organization. Just make sure you read their policies too :):). I don't think you'll find a nonprofit that is as supportive and family friendly in the long run.
We found our son because of Reece's Rainbow. We never would have known he existed, much less been able to bring him out of the institutional system in Eastern Europe without the hard work of Reece's Rainbow. They are an amazing organization that works so hard to bring awareness of and raise funds for children with special needs who languish away in institutions across the world. Thank you Reece's Rainbow for bringing us our wonderful and sweet son!!
We adopted our daughter who has special needs from Eastern Europe two years ago. While we did not use Reece's Rainbow to facilitate our adoption, we were able to use our daughter's Reece's Rainbow funds to finance nearly half of our adoption costs. Reece's Rainbow provided us with a reputable non-profit with which to receive funds from family and loved ones wanting to assist in our adoption. Reece's Rainbow also provided us with various support before, during, and after our adoption by providing a knowledgable community to help answer our many questions to help us navigate international adoption because the paperwork doesn't end when you get home.
In 2010 we brought our daughter home from Eastern Europe. We found her through the help of Reece's Rainbow. Her adoption was our third international adoption. Each of our adoptions (done through three different organizations) had different challenges, this is to be expected. Our experience with RR was very positive. We had assistance through each step of the process. We have had our daughter home nearly four years and we continue to have support and contact with RR. We are so grateful that our daughter is home with us. She faced a future of existing in an adult mental institution if RR had not been there to advocate for her.
Reece's Rainbow saved my son's life. They were essential in helping us reach him and bring him home. No adoption is ever seamless, but they helped us every step of the way!
I have an 8 year old with Down syndrome and when he was first born, I learned of the lives that other children born with DS and other special needs lead in many other countries - they are abandoned, put in over-crowded orphanages (then into even worse adult institutions if not adopted), and many are under-cared and under-loved. It broke my heart immensely and I vowed to find some way to help those children....fast forward a few years and I found Reece's Rainbow. I was thrilled to find an organization where I could really make some difference in the lives of these sweet children that were just like my son, but unlike my son, weren't fortunate enough to be born into nations and families that value their lives. I've donated personally, helped raise funds through others for specific children, and have always been very happy with the way business is conducted by this organization. First and foremost - they exist to serve and bless the children and the families that have come forward to adopt them. My life is forever changed knowing of these children out there and I'm so grateful that organizations like Reece's Rainbow exist to help and bless these children.
This is my favorite charity! I can't imagine a better charity than helping forgotten kids with special needs be adopted by families who will treasure them.
Reece's Rainbow is more than an adoption ministry to help children find families. After you bring your kids home there are so many resources and genuine relationships built that are vital to our existence. My two daughters joined us two years ago from Ukraine via RR. The facilitators that we had were amazing and we felt so comfortable during the entire process. I had the help of a wonderful lady that literally assisted me in completing all the necessary documents. I could not be more pleased and would certainly not only recommend this organization to anyone, but I would encourage people who think they can't adopt, to reconsider. We have an amazing bond that can not be described. They always keep the children's best interest at the top of the priority list. We adopted two older girls that we had no experience with their institutional behaviors or their SN (at that age). We have not fallen through the cracks and have contact with folks at RR asking about the girl's health, behaviors, abilities. The team is truly incredible and I can not imagine adopting through any other means.
We found our son through Reece's Rainbow in Spring 2012. They provided us with a low-cost non-profit fundraising platform, but more importantly, oodles of community support. When our son's country (Russia) shut down in January 2013, when the time came that we committed to another child before our paperwork expired, Reece's Rainbow not only made the transition seamless, but donated our son's grant money to our new child's account. Our precious little girl was in desperate need of a family, and we brought her home in August 2014, almost debt-free (1/3 raised through RR). This was good, as our daughter had many medical needs at first--weighing just 12 lbs when we brought her home at 18 months old. She is now blossoming into an incredible 20 lb 2.5 year old. The ongoing support of the RR community has been crucial in helping us navigate our daughter's unique needs as a formerly institutionalized child with Down syndrome. She is a joy and a delight, and every interaction we had with RR proved to me time and again that this incredible group of women leading the group were not only dedicated to running the program on a shoestring budget, but were the most passionate advocates for these children and families. Would recommend using Reece's Rainbow to anyone.
Reading negative comments compells me to continue with this:
**Nasty comments were left on my blog concerning Reece's Rainbow, and when I brought these concerns to a few people who were close to the injured party and Reece's Rainbow, found that the truth was that folks who violated the terms of their contract (such as having their social worker sign a form saying the adoption process was being started) were assumed to no longer be in process and the child was relisted. When there is a conflict, Reece's Rainbow errs on the side of the child. I would do the same.
**We used the aforementioned, vilified facilitation team for our daughter's adoption from Ukraine. The conflicts folks complain about are entirely related to the system Ukraine has set up for adoption of their orphaned children. No child's referral can be given until the family is in country, but they also support the programs that share the public information about children to bring American families into the country while respecting the children's privacy. Everyone is doing the best they can within human means. If it weren't for the passion of the facilitation team, our daughter's paperwork could never have been completed, and she would not have been relisted, but allowed to drift through the system, never having the chance to be adopted. There are two sides to each story, and navigating the waters of humans doing Godly work (adoption) is going to lead to imperfection. But, 400+ kids with special needs home from Ukraine since RR started (using whatever facilitation team you want) speaks to the goodness of this organization. "You will know them by their fruits."
We have used RR and now have three new beautiful daughters. The team...both in the US and in Ukraine...were amazing from the first email to landing in America with our kids. They were thorough, accurate and went above and beyond. The process was quick and easy...and communication was wonderful. I would not adopt again except through this organization.
"Haters are gonna Hate".....there is clearly a turf war going on...and folks often attack the organization that is the clear leader...disregard the negative comments...
Reece's Rainbow is a wonderful organization. It brings the needs of children around the world to the light of public eyes. Through this group, families are able to find children who need homes. Many of these would not be discovered without this organization's advocation. The families have a tight network and offer support to each other. They also pray for each other and help families to fundraise in order to pay the outrageous costs of international adoption. One woman's vision, inspired by her own child, created a network that has brought home scores of children..... Forever home
I discovered Reece's Rainbow a few years ago while researching international Special needs adoption. I have followed the journey of many families who have adopted special needs children with the help of the RR grants (RR= Reece's Rainbow) and donated my own money to help families bring their children home. In 2012, our family committed to adopting two little boys (ages 4 & 7) through Reece's Rainbow. We are an adoptive family with 13 children and not new to international and/or domestic adoption. Working with RR was an amazing and positive experience. I completely trust the RR staff and volunteers. They care deeply about these children in need as well as the families who are working to bring them home. They are extremely honest and efficient. I love what they do and the way they do it. This is an amazing organization and I highly recommend them!!!!!
i came to know Reece's Rainbow after reading a blog post about a few of the children listed on their website about 3 years ago. i supported the children i read about, donating & sharing their need for a family to love. To me, that is what Reece's Rainbow does - they raise awareness for these special needs orphans who would otherwise get little exposure & stand little chance of having a family. They open adoption grants for children they are allowed to. They also support adopting families through their FSP (Family Sponsorship Page). i am privileged to be a part of this beautiful yet heart-breaking world of special needs international adoption. i have watched & been a part of an amazing ministry - a loving community of people who truly love these precious children, who are usually the very last to be noticed. In the last 7 years they have been operating, they have helped so very very many. Help them to help more.

Reece's Rainbow introduced me to the world of special needs orphans, orphans in developing countries which have no ability & often no desire to help these children who have been casted away simply because they are less than perfect or considered less than "normal". Children, every single one of them, should & need to be in a loving environment, have a caring family, have a support system they can depend upon. Reece's Rainbow helps to highlight the plight of these orphans who would otherwise have no chance at a family. They do wonderful work, bringing these children to the attention of the world & bringing these children forever families with that comes opportunities at life these children would never have in their home countries where they are not valued as persons at all.
I came across Reece's Rainbow a few years ago while researching international Special needs adoption. I have followed the journey of many families who have adopted special needs children with the help of the grants RR (= Reece's Rainbow) raised and helped them raised, I have listened to so many stories and I gave and volunteered as much as I could. I came to trust the RR staff and the volunteers. They all care deeply about the children in need of a family. They are extremely honest and efficient. I love what they do and the way they do it and completely trust them. An amazing charity!
When I adopt I know I will work with them definitely!
I LOVE Reece's Rainbow! They go above and beyond to work with families to get special kids into loving homes. We found our son with their help, and got him home from Ukriane without any issues what so ever. They have an amazing team that bends over backwards to get things done. They were always truthful and caring. We love our new extended Reece's Rainbow family and cannot wait to be able to work with them again!
Reece's Rainbow is my life. I have been a volunteer with them for almost 4 years now, and have loved every minute. The children they serve, and the families involved are just beautiful and perfect in every way, and I feel that I've met some of my best friends and mentors through this charity. But that's not even the focus-- the focus, 100,000,000,000% of the time is the children. Let's get these babies home, let's find a family for this child who is aging out and needs to be loved, let's come together and make the world a better place. And the remarkable thing about that is, the RR coordinators (love them!) are humble enough to recognize that no matter the effort, we cannot change the entire world...but by all means, we CAN change the world for one child at a time. "It matters to this one" is the RR slogan, and I literally wear it around my neck (engraved on a necklace) 24/7 because not only has it changed the lives of over a thousand once-orphaned children, who are now beloved sons and daughters, but it has changed MY life. Just about every aspect of what I do has been revolutionized by RR, and I honestly wouldn't have it any other way. I love Reece's Rainbow with all of my heart!

Cannot recommend RR for anything in me. We were lied to during our adoption process and in the end we were hurt and so was another family. RR knew we were coming for a child but refused to move this child to the "my family found me" page since we wanted to use a different facilitation team. They continued to list that child as available even though they knew we were coming for this child. Another family did commit to our child on RR and in the end they and us were left very hurt by the unethical and unChristlike actions of RR.
We were lied to repeatedly by "the team" Reece's Rainbow insisted we needed to use in Ukraine. An attempt was made to have us submit fraudulent paper work to the USA Embassy. We were assured that it would "be OK because we have a friend working in there." Thankfully, we were able to find a way to turn in only legal paperwork lest we face fines and imprisonment for submitting fraudulent paper work. There were many other problems, too numerous to name here. We have adopted before using other groups and facilitators and so know the difference between a good experience and a bad one. While we did get home with our child, we would certainly never recommend that anyone use Reece's Rainbow or their "team" in Ukraine. It was a stressful and unpleasant experience all the way around, and adoption does not need to be that way.
As a mom of children with special needs and a non-profit director, I often cross paths with this organization. Specifically, I seem to be a safe and compassionate friend for people who have been hurt by this organization.
The word cult has been used by other reviewers, and as sensational as that sounds, it seems to fit well. You have a charismatic leader who is somewhat mysterious and shows contempt for the masses of supporters. She is insulated from accountability by them. You have secret chat rooms for supporters...it's easy to get ex-communicated from these supportive rooms for asking the wrong question or being friends with the wrong person. Other supporters are always spying you, ready to inform the leadership of any real or perceived violation. You have a situation where funds are slopped around to benefit the non-questioning, well behaved supporters.
If you are one of the many families who have had a wonderful experience with Reece's Rainbow, then good for you! But, nothing can excuse their behavior toward the families they have hurt and cut off from post adoption support groups. My advice to prospective donors is to keep looking, there are many reputable organizations that support adoption AND orphan care. This is not one of them. My advice to prospective adoptive parents is to keep looking, there are safer options for collecting tax deductible contributions for your adoption. And DON'T fall in love with the photo...many of those children are not available. That doesn't matter so much for them because they can always get you to choose another child once you are past the point of no return...and their in-country partners still get paid. Run, Forest! Run!
Had to give 1 star. Negative would be better. All my years in orphan advocacy I have never seen an organization with such a cult like following, that completed disregards and attacks anyone who was unhappy. This is not a Christian organization or an adoption ag ency. They raise grants which they chose to disperse or keep. Thousands and thousands go unaccounted for. Children not available for adoption are used as bait and switch for the criminal facilitator. Question anything and your adoption could be ruined and you will be black balled. Children left to die because Andrea Roberts doesn't like a family in the adoption process. Cps, uscis, and social workers all called with out permission to quiet families . Run. Run fast and far. Much safer organizations.
Adopted two kids listed on Reece's Rainbow. Our second adoption was a nightmare of epic proportions. Our facilitator was rude, not only to us, but to the people we encountered in the process. This facilitator also placed us in a very dangerous situation and was NOT on our side at all! This facilitator was unethical, verbally abusive, erratic and unreliable. Andrea has been known to one actively interfere with adoptions for a variety of reasons, ranging from dislike of the person adopting, to retaliation for wanting to use a non-Reece's Rainbow facilitation team.
My advice to anyone considering using this organization is to find another ministry. There are other adoption ministries out there that operate in safer and more ethical ways.
After thorough study and having my many questions fully and transparently answered by the leadership of Reece's Rainbow, my husband and I have become donors. We have supported families financially, to the absolute limits of our abilities, because we have such confidence in the good stewardship and responsibility of the board at Reece's Rainbow. Then we have followed along on each family's adoption journey, and have been impressed with how carefully and diligently the organization supports each family through the process. I think there are some other adoption fundraiser groups who distribute cash to families faster and with less attention, which might be convenient for the families, but as a donor, it's great to have confidence that all rules are followed and that money isn't being wasted. They get 5 stars for accountability, transparency and honesty.

Reece's Rainbow not only helped us find our son, but gave us the opportunity to advocate for thousands of other children in need, and helped us fund our adoption. We wouldn't have been able to do it without them. They are an amazing organization, and if we ever adopt again, we will use them again. I love what they do and what they stand for. Ask the naysayers for proof, they have none. Over 1,000 kids they've helped come home! That's enough for me!

We completed an adoption from Ukraine in the Fall of 2012 with the help of Reece's Rainbow. Regarding the grants raised, they were extremely helpful in assisting us raise funds and dispersed funds without any hesitation. We used the Ukrainian facilitation team they recommend and found them to be extremely professional, helpful and hard working.
As I continue to be involved with this organization through advocacy and fundraising, I have found them to have the utmost integrity, always remaining focused on helping orphaned children with special needs be adopted into families. They work tirelessly, deal with many different types of people (some with pure intentions, many with bad intentions), but always speak and act with their mission in mind.
Our family has successfully adopted seven children from Eastern Europe and could not have been as successful with our efforts if we had not used this organization. Reece's Rainbow is a grant organization. Their purpose is to help you collect funds for your adoption through a tax deductible FSP. They do not solicit funds for you, that is YOUR job as the adoptive parent. They simply give people a place to donate those funds to so you can use them for your adoption. They also have a team of very knowledgable and professional facilitators that you can use, IF you choose to, for your adoption. We have used these facilitators three times with great success. We have had adoptions that were timely and without surprise costs. These people truly care about the children and families they are serving, especially compared to stories I have heard about other facilitators who seem like they are out for good, and then are anything but. I have heard many outlandish stories from people regarding this organization but all I can do is speak from our own experiences, which have been nothing but wonderful.
In the past year, this organization has withheld tens of thousands of dollars from families, they have repeatedly lied, shared confidential information, intentionally bullied, and have facilitators who remove children's files if they are not being used to facilitate the adoption. Most recently, Reece's Rainbow encouraged families to travel to Kiev, during the conflict citing, "it is safe".
We adopted our son in 2012 and utilized the services of Reece's Rainbow to help raise/collect funds for his adoption. We chose to use the facilitation team recommended by Reece's Rainbow and were very pleased with all of the services provided. Without Reece's Rainbow, we would not have found our son, and we are well-acquainted with several families who also have successfully raised funds for their adoptions using Reece's Rainbow as the non-profit/tax-deductible vehicle for collecting donations.

Reeces rainbow fundraises for and advocates for random children whose identity is plucked off the internet. I committed to a child listed by RR. The child had an angel tree warrior for several consecutive years and a good amount of grant money. I started working with an agency, raised another thousand dollars for the child's FSP and paid significant adoption agency fees before finding out from the ministry of education for that country that this child was not legally free for adoption, his information taken of the country's generic database of children needing foster homes. When this was reported back to Reeces rainbows, we agreed to transfer this child's FSP to another child who was legally free. I was allowed to make that designation as a significant contributor. The funds were never distributed to the agreed upon child. These funds were not a small amount,, my $1000 contribution being only a moderate contribution. There was no accounting for where the money went. This is by FAR not the only incident exactly like this... I have heard dozens and dozens of former RR families make the same claim... Disturbing
Adopted from this organization and had no issues although in country there was a question of ethical violations all along the way. Chalked it up to the country but then upon arriving home found more and more ethical issues with their facilitator. If you choose your own facilitator which this organization claims to allow, mysteriously your children are not available. Too many instances where children they claim to be available are not. Instead of transparency the organization buries their mistakes at the cost of the children and families. If you speak up or ask questions you are told to privately message their director who proceeds to blame the family and although aware of her facilitators tactics continues to use him exclusively. If it is about finding homes for their children why make it difficult to do so? They claim not to know where children are located yet their new family laison has privately messaged families with location. Their facilitator hires RR dossier helper who continues to work for RR families on a volunteer basis which screams you must use their facilitator or else. Ask questions!! And don't just ask privately because you will just get smokes and screens.
This organization I have worked with for years in my own adoption and advocating for orphans. We have grown to love the RR team and always grateful for each child that makes it home!

We have used Reece's Rainbow for two of our adoptions. They have been nothing but wonderful to our family, professional and always encouraging to us. I have donated to many families on their site and I know for sure each family is getting each of my donations because I have heard from the families who have received them. We used their team both times for our adoptions and I can't rave about them enough because they went WAY BEYOND our expectations in their professionalism, love, compassion and most of all the knowledge of the process they posses in country was the best! They love this organization has for the families and children truly shines through in all they do. If you are looking for a organization to make a donation to and know that ALL YOUR MONEY goes to the child, this is the place!

I am a near weekly donor to and fund raiser for Reece's Rainbow. I am exceedingly pleased with the handling of the money I donate. Any time I have questioned finances, answers, with evidence (when necessary), are given within a few hours. As a fund raiser, I have great appreciation that money raised for a particular child stays with that child, esp if a family finds they are unable to adopt a child they were hoping to adopt. RR has given families quite an opportunity to fund raise through their site. I, as a donor, like that the money I give to a family is not dispersed until travel dates are given. This ensures that my donations, in fact, will be used for the adoption costs, and holds to accountability as to how adoption funds will be used. Yes, some is given to the Voice of Hope for operating expenses, but how on earth is RR supposed to operate without funding? Most non profits take a far higher percentage out for operating costs. This is an incredible organization that I feel strongly serves families and children, and gives a loud voice to children with special needs. Andrea, the RR staff, and volunteers work hard to be that loud voice and to raise funds for both child grants and for fund raising families.
We've adopted several times through Reece's Rainbow in the past several years and each time, found them to be above board on every thing. The staff, both paid and volunteer, is helpful, eager to assist, knowledgeable, efficient, and very personable. We've used the team they recommended in country each time, and have had absolutely wonderful experiences. We are very happy to be a part of an organization that works so hard to help change the lives of orphans with special needs, in countries all over the world, and it is a privilege to be able to say that we support them fully. If you are looking for a reputable, trustworthy, ethical and transparent organization to assist you in fundraising for your adoption, or to connect you to other advocates and adoptive families, Reece's Rainbow is the way to go!

Personal experience - some of the funds we donated for a specific family redirected to others without our knowledge. We should have been informed that not all our funds would be given to the family we donated to. Probably would have given in another way so ensure the family received the full amount.
I started my RR journey in 2009. I was promised that the child I had selected had her files pulled and would be held for our family. In March of 2010 we were informed another family had adopted the child we selected.
I adopted my son from Ukraine in 2011. I had heard horror stories about their head facilitator S. We decided to go with a different facilitator because of what we had heard. When we got to Ukraine S hunted our facilitator down and threatened to behead him and dismember him because he was costing him money. He claimed the "invalid children" belonged to him.
When I got home I told the director of RR and her assistant about the problems we had. I was asked several times to retail my story. In the end they said I lied about what happened despite our facilitator's counter part writing them a letter confirming what I had told them.
Additionally, when I returned home the help they promised to provide with their After the Rainbow group was non exsistant. My name was trashed and I was banned from the group after telling what had happened to us in Ukraine.
I would steer clear of Reece's Rainbow at any and all cost!
"Client Served" was probably exactly the opposite of what I was, but it was the best fitting of the choices. We started an adoption through Reece's Rainbow and the President of the organization went above and beyond to derail our process in any way possible, after several months she was successful in doing so. Her own staff discreditted her actions saying it wasn't handled appropriately and gave a really unfortunate reason as to why she did what she did. The child we were adopting waited over a year additional than they would have had our adoption been outside of Reece's Rainbow and they would be in our home right now instead of being used in a popularity contest and handed to stronger allies instead. Between "our" child's life being thrown around like it didn't matter and a friend having her life threatened by their Ukraine team (to which Reece's Rainbow called a lie), we are beyond DONE with that ministry.
As an adoptive parent of a child with Down syndrome, my path frequently crosses with Reece's Rainbow and the families they serve. Over the years there have been more and more disturbing stories coming out of this organization. It seems clear that at their Ukraine program (which I believe is the majority of their operation) functions primarily as a referral service for 1 primary adoption adoption facilitator in Ukraine, whose ethics are considered questionable by many adoptive families and other adoption professionals. I have heard story after story of families bullied, threatened, and intimidated by this man if they ask too many questions try to seek out other facilitators to assist in their adoptions. Although Reece's Rainbow has been made aware of the myriad issues surrounding this facilitator, they continue to unquestioningly refer adoptive families to him. Families choosing to use other adoption professionals to assist in their processes often encounter mysterious delays and often have difficulty receiving grant funds raised for the children they are adopting.
Additionally, donations are mailed to Maryland yet RR's accountant who processes all deposits is located in another state. Many, many donations have gone missing only to be found after a family inquires about them. One wonders how many donations were never credited to the appropriate child/adoptive family's grant fund because no one knew to ask about them.
Another major problem is that RR is essentially functioning as an adoption agency, but are not licensed and therefore are subject to none of the laws that regulate these agencies. The director, Andrea Roberts, frequently tells families that they may or may not be "matched" with a particular child, though she is not a social worker nor has she ever had a successful adoption that did not end in disruption. She has been known to ask for more or less information on various adoptive families before giving out grants for the children they are adopting. RR asks for information that no other adoption grant organization does, which is a great intrusion of adoptive families' privacy. In some cases, she has even required copies of adoptive families' homestudies, which contain a great deal of potentially sensitive and very private information.
Those who inquire about these various problems will find that all communication ceases and public attacks (via Facebook, etc) begin when the questions get difficult. I have yet to get straight answers to any of the "hard questions," in spite of Andrea Roberts' insistence that RR is completely open and honest and open to questions. When people start asking the questions, she stops responding to e-mails, blocks people on Facebook, and starts posting status updates about how persecuted she is by the agents of Satan.
In looking over the other reviews on this site, there are several bits of incorrect information- Andrea Roberts and several other staff members do take a salary, so this is not an "all-volunteer" organization.
I wholeheartedly agree with RR's mission. It is just unfortunate that somewhere things got horribly messed up. I cannot recommend this group to anyone and have serious concerns about their ethics.
I started helping with the Reece's Rainbow website a few years ago when I became aware of how they were helping special needs orphans find families. Andrea (the founder) works tirelessly to find available children and to help families through the adoption process. International adoption is complicated, but Andrea and the RR volunteers are trying their very best to help these special kids find homes!
When Reece's Rainbow had us work with a facilitator in Serbia, and that facilitator started making unreasonable demands, RR turned their back on us. When the facilitator attempted to extort money from me while in country, RR turned their back. When I told RR that I had been questioned about the facilitator by the U.S. Embassy, and that the Serbian Ministry was doing an investigation into the actions of the facilitator, (and had been for a full year prior to my adoption!) RR continued to send families to work with the same facilitator, one of them getting stuck in the middle of their adoption with NO facilitator because the Ministry removed her. I am not the only one. There are LOTS of similar stories from families adopting from other countries, particularly Ukraine. You don't hear anything about us because as soon as a family expresses concern, or a specific complaint, they are removed from the RR community. There are also many children listed who are not legally available for adoption, and RR will not verify with the local government regarding the child's legal status. You "take a chance". The first child we were going to adopt was NEVER legally available, and the Serbian government has verified to us that child's parental rights have never been terminated, yet she was listed on RR for 2 years prior. ASK for copies of tax records, audits, financial statement along with conflict of interest statement before dealing with this organization! (all are legal requirements for a US 501c3)
We recently adopted a child with Down syndrome from the Ukraine through Reece's Rainbow. I cannot say enough good things about this organization and their commitment to the orphans and families they serve! They are literally helping to save the lives of the most vulnerable and unwanted children around the world.
Reece's Rainbow has helped over 400 children with Down Syndrome and other disabilities find their forever families in less than 5 years. Perhaps most incredibly, it does so with an all volunteer staff. Your money cannot go to a charity which will be a better steward of your donation.
Reece's Rainbow is most amazing organization. I have been a supporter since the beginning and personal friend of the founder. Also as the mother to a child with Down syndrome, this charity is close to my heart! Such an amazing way to help a child with a disability find their forever family!!!
