I have worked for REN For about a month now and this is hands down one of the best organizations I have ever worked for. The energy at REN is unparalleled in the field. REN is person focused and provides a safe space for members to come and join groups, activities, and outings that will help them increase socialization, decrease isolation, provide recovery education, and help reduce mental health stigma. REN is completely peer run and is making a huge difference. REN truly understands the importance of whole health wellness.

REN is amazing! Simply put. They take care of their members and staff. They have so many great opportunities such as recovery-based groups, peer support classes, day and weekend outings, volunteer opportunities, arts & crafts, nutritional classes, and physical wellness classes in the gym. they also hold monthly events that are fun and amazing. These services are offered in a group setting and some in a 1:1 setting for individualized goal support. The staff creates a safe and welcoming environment. I cannot say enough about how special this place is to me.

Hi, my name is Aaron. I am currently attending the RST training program with Crystal and David here at REN.

When i first applied my paperwork was lost by my clinic and i missed the enrollment date. I looked at just about every other agency in the valley, but decided to wait it out here.

Boy am I glad i did! My experience with peer support workers hasn't always been positive in the past. Which is why I decided to get involved actually. But from the very first moment i stepped foot on the property here at REN the staff here were all amazing. They live what they teach here every single day! There is no doubt that everyone here truly cares.

Thank God for REN and all the staff there. I am learning so much great stuff in class and would recommend it to anyone interested in getting involved in this field.

I was in prison from 2016-2020. While I was in prison my wife was able to find employment at Recovery Empowerment Network. Through this she was able to turn her life completely around, giving her a sense of purpose, and the ability to create a new life for our children. Many of times throughout the years she would share with me her satisfaction she received from helping others. Upon my release I was greeted with a warm welcome from her work family, and given the opportunity to take their RST class. At the time I could not afford the training, and they allowed me to volunteer in exchange for the class. Since then I have found a new career, where helping others is the focal point of my new life. I could not have made that happen without Recovery Empowerment Network, and their knowledgeable staff who are so giving of themselves, and their own experiences. Thank you REN.

My name is Jimmy Contreras I am an employee at recovery empowerment network. I wanna start by saying thank you to my company. I have spent a lot of time incarcerated and involved with negative thing such as drugs, gangs, etc. Coming back into the community was not an easy task. Recovery Empowerment Network welcomed me with open arms They encouraged my dreams put me through self development trainings and much more coming from the back ground that I have. You don't get a lot of trust in the world especially at companies such as this, but because of the work, trust, belief and push that REN has put into and behind me I don't feel like an out cast or that I'm untrustworthy, I don't feel like I don't belong I am able to use my past as a way to inspire and help people move forward in their lives. self doubt is a real thing and I was a product of that my whole life, working here at REN has shown me that it doesn't matter what my past is its what I want my future to be, and REN has 100% help me to achieve my future. I'm a better husband, father, grandfather and employee because of the belief that my company has put into me I am truly blessed that I am allowed to be apart of this company and that this company was used as a tool to show me that I can and am something more than my past. No matter how bad your past choices were it can always be turned around for the better, you just need to be shown or told sometimes to get it and REN is the company to do that. thank you REN family for everything.

I was introduced to REN by a fellow person in an art class. I signed up and have not regretted it. I think the staff is the best around. I like the classes they have and the people that attend are so diverse yet caring individuals. The staff go out of their way to really get to know all the individuals who attend either daily or once in while. I feel so renewed after attending REN and will continue to be part of the family the staff work hard to build.

I am an independent filmmaker in Phoenix, Arizona. I would like to recognize Recovery Empowerment Network for their work in bringing a voice to Mental Health through film. I have had the pleasure to assist this company with the creation of Recovery Reelz. This program teaches people living with a mental health challenge how to write, direct, and edit their own personal short documentaries on recovery. These films focus on members of the community, personal contribution to the planet, and overcoming past traumas. Film is an incredible artform that can bring stories often overlooked into the mainstream and shed light on people who have lived and overcome their struggles. Please recognize Recovery Empowerment Network for their work in taking recovery to new levels of achievement.

One of the wonderful things about this place is that it has such a strong leadership. I have personally watched every leader treat everyone with the same mutuality respect dignity and compassion. It truly is a remarkable organization. They keep it fresh, exciting, and fun. They provide members with first time experiences such as camping, helping in the community, and opportunities to become empowered like creating a newsletter designed by the peers for the peers. Other opportunities for self-empowerment that Recovery Empowerment Network provides for the members are discovering self-belief like the theatrical participatory play, Talent show, and even a fashion show. I have always believed a strong leadership promotes a strong organization and creates the environment for their staff to strive to be their best. This is shown to be true every day when you come to REN. Members continue to show growth in their wellness and recovery from working out conflict resolution, building relationships, practicing healthy habits achieving goals such as trackable health outcomes and much more.

I have had the privilege of working for Recovery Empowerment Network from 2005 to 2008 and I came back in 2013 and remain. February 27th, I will have worked at Recovery Empowerment Network a total of 11 years, Why? I continue to thrive, learn, and grow and this organization facilitates this. With this said, our team empowers our members to do the same. We are people first and strength based.

The executive management is extremely supportive of staff and members and set the positive and empowering tone for the organization. I continue to love working here because recovery language and philosophy are practiced throughout this organization including amongst staff. I am grateful that among staff, " aces are in their places," so to speak, so we are able to teach what we are passionate about and what we practice personally. Never have I worked at an organization where I can be truly authentic and also valued for what I contribute and for who I am. I love that each team member is passionate and invested in our members and we genuinely support one another.

I have had the privilege to witness the transformation of so many lives as people recognize their capabilities, their worth, and their deserving of only the best in life. I am blessed working here and I believe that the community is blessed by REN's philosophy, values, and dedication to changing lives!

I have been at REN for over 3 years providing service. Not only have I seen people navigate their recovery with success but this place reaches people on a heart level, with love and support. People are accepted for who they are, welcomed and guided in their process of recovery. There is so much encouragement and appreciation for the process of growth; its safe and a place for people to find themselves discovering new ways to live. Budgeting, enjoying community, developing friendships, living in sobriety, healing from trauma and enjoying a new way of life. I am honored to be a part of REN, its my second home and a place I am joyful to come to everyday!!

See people see the word recovery but that doesn't always mean its from drugs or alcoholism it means so much more I have been attending recovery empowerment network since I was about 18 years old I was having a very hard time as I was just aging out of the foster care system and I was not a very social approachable person I had a very hard time accepting others help as well as their friendships I didn't trust anyone there or anywhere else because of my past issues with people who ended up hurting or using me and mostly abandoning me but because of Recovery Empowerment Network I have learned that the reason I was so angry and unapproachable was because I was afraid of CHANGE and thanks to them I have learned how to accept and how to cope with most of these issues but not all I still have a lot to learn but I would not Be the social butterfly I am today with out the loving ,caring, understanding, but last but not least outstanding people that work so hard to help not just its members but its staff too ,THANK YOU RECOVERY EMPOWERMENT NETWORK!!

I have had the pleasure of working for this amazing organization for three years now. In my capacity of work I have seen so many people excel and grow in many different ways. REN meets people right where they are today and helps them realize whatever it is they would like to become. The best thing about this program in my opinion is that all those who attend and work here have a heart for people in general without limitations or expectations. Its about people partnering together to help dreams become reality.

I found out that when I experienced trauma early on in my childhood life I gained the spirit of deprivation and when I experienced that trauma as a child it stayed with me inside, with no healing or truth or understanding to set it free I stuffed it and it became a part of me that I could ignore because of survival.
I have found here at recovery empowerment Network that love is the most healing Force we have and that is why How To Heal Your Life classes really works!!! It's about me learning to really love on myself, so much, that it's hard and hurts sometimes. Life is what you put into it or allow to be in your life. Like having healthy, positive, uplifting people around you just wanting to learn and grow. That is what I had when I took the How To Heal Your Life classes at recovery empowerment Network.. our group together knitted the blanket of Truth, pain, respect and we saw we were not alone. We felt safe and we healed, through forgiveness trust and truth. How To Heal Your Life course by Louise Hayes, has taught me to learn, how to really love myself and that is truly the key to my peace and happiness. I am very grateful to the staff, Recovery Empowerment Network and all that it stands for and represents. Thank you for giving me what is truly priceless in life! A life that I can live that is better than it was before. Thank you! Bless you!!

I remember starting out as a very shy person who was always afraid to make friends with others and I just wanted to help out with anything that I could but I was not good at speaking up so I started joining and little by little I started learning how to listen to others then bit by bit I became more comfortable with telling my own story and asking help and advice so I am very happy and greatful that I have Ren in my life

I have worked for Recovery Empowerment Network for over seven years and my experience has been wonderful. I started out working for REN part time after moving to Arizona from another state. REN is a peer run organization and while working for REN, I realized the true value of my life experience. While I felt that I was making a difference, at the same time my service was making a difference in me. Our mission is to provide recovery and healing opportunities in our community by sharing our journey. I have seen first-hand the impact and benefit of that empathetic collaboration.

Our organization is also purpose driven. We strive to develop independent living skills in every person that walks through our doors. Our members feel the safety and support offered by REN. It is said that if you give an individual a fish, they will eat for a day; if you teach them how to fish, then you feed him for a lifetime. This adage could not be more true at REN. I have seen individuals empowered to change their lives for the better. Every program at REN is geared toward improving our members' overall well being.

I would like to start by acknowledging all of the non-profit organizations out there that are working hard to lift up the members of their community. The work that we do touches so many individuals and families. You rock!

Now, let's talk about Recovery Empowerment Network. I have had the privilege of working here at REN for over three years now. Throughout my time here, I have witnessed the transformation of so many lives. Our members come from all walks of life and are working through a wide range of challenges. There is one thing that all of our members have in common, and that is the drive to make each day brighter than the last.

Recovery Empowerment Network supports individuals whom are working to better their future while overcoming challenges with mental health and other facets that are interrelated. Participation in REN services allows for members to strengthen their support system and gain the tools to work through the curveballs that life throws our way.

Before I get into all of the services that I find to be of great significance, I must boast about the staff in which I have the pleasure to work with each and every day. The heart that this crew has is unmeasurable. As we walk side-by-side with our members on their recovery journey, there is a supportive connection that is fostered, cultivated, and celebrated. Equipped with compassion, empathy, motivation, resources, and good ol' fashioned life experiences, our staff are here to help our survivors navigate through any storm on the horizon.

Lastly, I am truly impressed with all of the services that we provide under one roof. Participants of REN have access to tools resources that can support them in the accomplishment of whatever their goals might be at any juncture. Our Employment program assists in teaching job skills while exploring different avenues of occupation. Part of our role is to be a part of the journey to obtain new residence; this is a very exciting life event to be a part of. We have seen peoples' lives change through the implementation of healthier eating habits and the development of a physical exercise routine. Our on-site Certified Personal Trainers have extensive knowledge, experience, and motivation to support each person where they are at in their fitness adventure. Community-connectedness is such a crucial ingredient for the soup that is recovery. The relationships that are cultivated here grow into great forests of natural support systems. It is very cool to watch the light within a person get brighter and brighter as they discover the great qualities within themselves.

To wrap this all up, I am going to say that there are so many amazing people in this world that pour out their hearts into helping others be all they can be. Because of them, the world is a better place. Please keep on smiling and spreading the positivity. It does not go unnoticed.

I have had the honor to be employed by Recovery Empowerment Network for 5 years. The company was the first after years of "No" to give me an opportunity to show up in society and live beyond past mistakes that hindered employment opportunities. While working with REN, I've had the honor to grow and learn everyday with the support of great leaders who have mentored me on my career path. The work we do here at REN is an inspiration and a two sided journey where both staff and members grow together as we work through our recovery journey's in life. The support and compassion is natural and both staff and members are able to feel the support when they walk in the doors.
