Mission: Rebound, inc. Is dedicated to leading the way in the innovation and provision of holistic, community centered, education, advocacy, and rehabilitation solutions to the overrepresentation of black youth in the juvenile justice system. Rebound, inc. Is dedicated to leading the way in the innovation and provision of holistic, community centered, education, advocacy, and rehabilitation solutions to the overrepresentation of black youth in the juvenile justice system.
Programs: Rebound, inc. Strives to reduce the overrepresentation of african american youth in the juvenile justice system. Rebound, inc's inaugural program, jordan house, is a culturally specific therapeutic residential group home and shelter program for young men ages 14-21 who are involved with the juvenile justice system or child protective services. Ninety-two percent of the residents served were of african or african american descent. During this fiscal year, jordan house received 47 group home and shelter referrals. With the capacity to serve only 6 residents at a time, jordan house has admitted 26 young men into its group home and shelter programs. Twenty-five of those young men have matriculated through our program. Thirty-eight percent have successfully completed the program, while 4% continue to be served.
