I can't tell you how relieved I was to find this foundation. Last I felt alone and shameful, thinking I was the only male with bulimia. I saw a blog that the REDF had done on Facebook called, "It's just as hard to be Ken as it is Barbie" and heard my story.
When I sent a message to the coach, she was very helpful with pointing me in the right direction. I had NO idea there were meetings out there for guys like me.
Right on, thx
Hi,
I have been struggling with bulimia and body dysmorphia for over 20 years. My overall health has been slowly getting worse with time. When I decided it was time to get the help I felt like I had know where to go. I couldn't afford treatment, and my insurance was crappy.
Rebeccas Foundation has a fascinating Instagram page that I was following for inspiration. One I noticed a post that mentioned eating disorder coaching was available. I took a chance and reached out. The coach on the other side was very educational and helpful with all my question about what to do, where to go, am I alone. I felt for the first time I was relieved and pointed in the right direction for recovery.
Thank you, Rebecca's Foundation for being there for me. We Recover Together!
