I have been a business member, donor and volunteer with Realities for Children since 2009. In my mind, there is no other organization impacting our children more. By working with partner agencies, local businesses and community leaders they are truly working to ensure that no child is left behind.
Review from Guidestar
I have been blessed with the opportunity to serve as the Chair Ambassador to Realities for Children and be a business member since 2011 and will continue to passionately pursue this incredible foundation. Realities is the most effective no-profit we have been a part of and it brings us great joy to support the great work they do to help underprivileged children.
I'm proud to be a volunteer of this special organization that truly makes a difference in children's lives.
Where do I begin...It is such an honor to be part of this wonderful organization. Living in such a beautiful place like Northern Colorado makes it hard to conceive that there are so many at-risk children who would otherwise be overlooked if not for the dedicated and tireless staff that make Realities For Children continue to grow and expand. I am humbled by the incredible Business Members who contribute both time and money, year after year, and share their valuable time to volunteer whenever there is a need. We only officially meet once each month and, each time that we do meet, I always feel like I am with family. It is no surprise that such an incredible organization like Realities for Children would attract so many wonderful local business owners. You can't fake honesty and integrity!
RFC is my favorite charity. They are able to help when other agencies aren't able. They are able to focus on the children and how to serve each child in the best way possible. I have been a member of Realities For Children for 13 years and plan on continuing in years to come. Thanks, Deanna Estes, Lotus Design
Realities for Children is one of the best ways our business feels that we can give DIRECTLY back to the communities we serve. I know that when RFC has an event, 100% of the proceeds go to the at-risk youth in Larimer County and that is important to me.
As a business member, the Realities team does a great job of promoting members to do business with one another as well. Whenever I am in need of a service, I look to the membership as a resource.
I am proud to be a Business Member and Ambassador for Realities for Children. This organization creates a bridge between the business community, non-profit community, and the children and families that need them the most. By pooling our resources together, we can create the most good, and I am grateful that RFC helps us to do just that.
I have been connected with Realities for Children for over 6 years as a program manager for one of their affiliate agencies, The Jacob Center. This wonderful group of people has always provided a safety net for the youth we serve and are unwavering in their support. Their resources and creative opportunities allow the at-risk youth we serve to feel connected to their community, nurtured, cared for, and most of all important. Realities for Children has truly created a community of caring in Northern Colorado by uniting youth service agencies and businesses to support deserving children. By providing resources, opportunities, a local network, and responsive, dedicated staff, Realities For Children affords The Jacob Center valuable means to support at-risk youth in building their resiliency, trust, and connection to their community..
I first became acquainted with Realities for Children when I was Executive Director of a local non-profit called Generation Now. I have been so impressed that from the beginning Craig Secher as President has had a hands on, solid team and collaborative approach to all the AMAZING work that is done by Realities. He is passionate and extremely committed to leaving no child behind. These children are the most vulnerable members of our community and because of Craig's vision to start this non-profit when he was only 25 they are becoming productive members of society. Twenty years in they have 31 affliate non-profit agencies that work with children in need that benefit through monthly youth activities, crisis funding, and many other special opportunities. Now they are building a Homebase for these children which is a miracle in and of itself. All the business partners and affiliates I have met as well as staff genuinely love their involvement in Realities and being able to make such a long lasting difference in the lives of these children. It has been such a blessing to myself and my family to be able to come alongside Craig, his wife Molly and their TEAM. They truly know how to spell TEAM!
I have had opportunities to assist with fundraisers like their various auctions by soliciting donations, setting up baskets, and going to the events and encouraging folks to bid, etc. I have also had the opportunity to participate in the fabulous monthly youth actitivities with our underresourced kids. Additionally, because I believe so much in what they are doing I have taken the opportunity to donate to their brick campaign and leave a lasting legacy. We also got to participate in the video which was great fun. We hope to also bring more individuals as well as businesses into the fold.
I love how they are willing to use each person's unique giftings in a collaborative way. They realize no one person can do it all. I love also that you know that every penny donated goes straight to these children and that when you volunteer you can come alongside phenomenal servers who are in it for the right reasons.
It wouldn't let me say below, but I am a professional, a volunteer and a donor and proud to do so!

I have had great interactions with Realities For Children since I was a volunteer CASA 10 years ago; my CASA kids received clothing, opportunities for fun activities, and were the recipients of "dream awards". Subsequently, I worked at various other agencies, where I encouraged my employers to sign up as a partner of RFC, so that many more clients could receive their essential services. A year ago I was lucky enough to be employed myself at RFC, and am happy to now be on the inside, providing emergency services and resources to over 4000 children a year.
