As a pediatric PT, we come across a lot of families who are in need of equipment and either don’t have funding or transportation. I was able to go to Reagan’s Journey and get multiple pieces of equipment for multiple kids and families that have changed their lives in one way or another. The staff was also very kind and helpful and the process was very organized and easy.
This group is amazing! Families helping other families by donating items they no longer use or never used. It’s great to see others come together to help one another. The best is everything is free.
Reagans Journey has helped us so much when we are in that limbo stage waiting for insurance to approve equipment that is needed now. We are also able to test out items that we didn’t even know there was a need for! It’s great to be able to donate these items back when no longer needed to help other families at no cost.
5 stars doesn’t come close to describing the incredible service Reagan’s closet provides for children with special needs. Everyone I have met and come to know at this anointed place has a heart to serve this often overlooked community. They have provided time and time again as insurance deny much needed equipment. God bless you Kim and all who serve at the closet.
It has been a great resource to try out equipment and keep if the product works for your child. Also to drop of an item you no longer need that someone else might.
There are so many things insurance doesn’t pay for when it comes to a child with special needs. This group helps people find what they need! They have helped so very many people and we will forever be one of their grateful supporters!
The ladies at the closet were so wonderful . I drove an hour to pick up an item and it was 100% worth the drive . The sense of community I received was everything I needed . I was given many resources and and items I didn’t know I needed . No wonder why they run by appointments, it’s not just picking up an item it was truly a service . A great experience and I am so very thankful .
God bless
Reagan's Journey is a blessing. We had heard about them from some friends and scheduled an appointment to drop off some items. While there, they took the time to talk with us about our needs and show us some things that may benefit our daughter. We left that day with some great equipment that we are still using and a ton of knowledge. Reagan's Journey is a treasure!
Western PA's best nonprofit in my opinion! My son has recieved several pieces of equipment from here. They are a blessing and we are lucky to have such an organization close to home!
Our son has cerebral palsy, is non-verbal and non-mobil. He spends the day at grandma's house when we are working and it can be difficult to transport the larger pieces of equipment. Reagan's Journey allows us to have some duplicates of equipment as well as some different pieces as well as some toys (adaptive toys can be hard to find) to help with his overall comfort and happiness. Kim and Tara do a wonderful job running this organization and truly care about the kids, how they are doing and try to help you find pieces that your child could benefit from. Reagan's Journey is a blessing to the parents and community of these super heroes.
Been going here for a few years now. Usually we are able to drop off excess supplies that we have. I think it is fantastic this place can distribute items out to families in need. There have also been a few times we have been able to use some items and that has been a blessing.
This has been such an amazing Facebook group I have found, this charity allows us disabled parents to help 1 another with items especially for medically complex kids! I have been able 2 find help atleast6xs in 6months, I was also able 2 donate 2 the charity 2 help others thank u 4 every thing , the only suggestion I have is to ass something 2 the group name to sumthin that ppl find if they sear h for a group su h as urs...I was referred!
Love having this resource for my medically complex child where we can get assistance with equipment/diapers/nutrition when insurance doesn’t cover or emergencies arise. Love that’s there’s an organization to help us give back as well.
Reagans journey has been such a blessing for our family and little one. The women are so helpful and knowledgeable about the equipment. I honestly don't know where we would be without Reagans journey.
I am forever greatful for this non profit and all the hard work they do for our kids.
We have been donating and receiving equipment from Reagan's Journey for 6 years now. The Kim is so knowledgeable and always has and answer for all my equipment related questions. If she doesn't have exactly what we need, she will fashion something together right on the spot....it's amazing! Also, we are part of their Facebook group and it's so nice to be part of a community who gets our day to day life of living with a medically complex child.
Attached are pictures of a pool float that we borrowed and have taken on every vacation. Also, a picture of a small child rite seat that allowed my daughter to play in the pool with her cousin and that we also, take on vacation for bathing.
I have never dealt directly with the closet but thru the Facebook sight I have found a cough assist suction machine and a shake machine, and a wonderful lady who worked with Bayada was able to get me a lift. I had to get a battery but the cost was very low. I hope you can continue this journey your on, it really helps a lot of people.
