*Reaching the Hungry* has always inspired me to serve God more.
In Malawi we are so privileged because Reaching the hungry has always supported us when it comes to Women's and Children's ministry.

In women's ministry our activities ranges from womens and adolescent girls healthy training, learning new skills like sewing hand made menstrual pads, min bags, making bracelets and encouraging fellow women to be hardworking so that they can be independent as well strengthening each other to grow spiritually.

RtH has also provided a platform where children learn God's words, and also children are taught different games, sing worship songs to glorify God. It is always a wonderful experience to spend time with children from remote areas.

It is a blessing to know your putting a smile on someone's face and your using your God given talents to serve in different areas.

I had a fantastic experience which these respectful children at colina de luz. I am very grateful that “Reaching The Hungry” provided fun activities of the kids to experience new things. The worship “Reaching The Hungry” had with the kids was amazing and the presence of God was working inside of all us there. I am also very thankful for the members of “Reaching The Hungry”, they were super nice and I loved socializing with them. Overall this experience at “Colina De Luz” with the team of “Reaching The Hungry” was more than I can imagine, and I really recommend getting involved with “Reaching The Hungry”.

I went with Reaching the Hungry (RTH) to Tijuana. Mexico to serve at an orphanage called Colina de Luz (CDL). My daughter and wife came with me as well as 4 others from the church I serve as a pastor in Fallbrook, CA.

The trip from beginning to end was very well run. Crossing the border can be a logistical nightmare, but the RTH made it very smooth for all of us.

CDL a wonderful and beautiful orphanage that houses 60 kids from 2 to 17. There are many stories of kids whose lives have been transformed by CDL.

The trip schedule was very well planned. We played lots of games with the kids, did crafts, ate meals and had a movie night with them. The schedule was focused on maximizing our time to bond with the kids and give the CDL program staff a break.

RTH is a phenomenal organization led by Pastor Carlos, who is a personal friend of mine. He is a great leader who has equipped his staff and ministry leaders to do a great job

This is my second trip to CDL and I will go again.

We went down to orphanage to Colina De Luz in Tijuana with Pastor Carlos and Reaching the Hungry with 48 others from 4 churches. It was our first time doing a one day mission trip with RTH It was a tremendous experience. Pastor Carlos and his wife, Lisa, were very organized which made the trip go very smooth.

We were not only able to do many work projects for the orphanage, but also interact with the kids and staff there. It was great to build relationships with people from other churches. This is not about any one church. It is all about God's kingdom coming earth as it in heaven. Praise God!

Every time I go on a trip with Reaching the Hungry, my faith is challenged and is grown. I have gotten to know people on these trips that honestly have changed my life which I wouldn’t have met otherwise. God uses these trips to remind me the calling He has on my life, every time I get distracted by the worries and lusts of this world.

I recently had the incredible opportunity to participate in a mission trip to Mexico with Reaching the Hungry. This organization exemplifies generosity, dedication, and a profound commitment to making a tangible difference in the lives of those in need.

Every donation is meticulously utilized to meet immediate needs, share the Gospel, and display God's love in profound ways. The team ensured that our contributions went directly to the refugee community where the outreach took place.

Reaching the Hungry’s commitment to spreading the message of hope and love was evident on this trip as it has been evident on every other trip I have been on. They not only addressed physical needs but also met spiritual needs through heartfelt conversations, prayers, and sharing the Gospel with individuals as well as a large group of children. The love of God was palpable in the smiles of the children, the gratitude of the families, and the unity of our mission team.

Reaching the Hungry stands out for its transparency and integrity. It's clear that every dollar donated is stretched to its fullest potential, ensuring that the maximum benefit reaches those in need. This trip reaffirmed my belief in the power of community, compassion, and faith.

I wholeheartedly recommend Reaching the Hungry to anyone looking to make a meaningful impact. Their work is a testament to what can be achieved when we come together to serve others in the name of God’s love.

I have volunteered, donated and been on a few international trips with Reaching the Hungry. Their effort put into planning and attention to detail really pays off because each experience with Reaching the Hungry has been very rewarding & enjoyable. I love the Reaching the Hungry philosophy to help others in Word & Deed. And probably most importantly for me; I've seen first hand how Reaching the Hungry is resourcing, training and equipping nationals to help themselves, their families and their communities. The ministry continues even after the teams return home.

I have partnered with Reaching The Hungry (RTH) for four years, serving both locally and internationally. I love their mission to mobilize the local church to support, encourage and equip missionaries.

My personal passion is to serve women and children, and RTH does this well. Conferences for children’s leaders and parents, mentoring and equipping local leaders, supporting orphanages, micro finance for women stuck in poverty. I love the smiles on the children’s faces! And the sparkle in the womens eyes when they realize someone truly cares about them.

There’s so much RtH does to bring encouragement and hope to people, and that’s what keeps me serving with RTH.

I love working with kids and have been to an orphanage in Tijuana, Mexico 4 times with Reaching The Hungry (RTH). In the morning we work on the facility; cleaning, painting and repairing. In the afternoon we put on a children’s program, with games, activities, lesson and crafts and just have fun with the kids.

The couple who run the orphanage work to educate the children academically, socially and spiritually. Their partnership with RTH helps them do this.

Carlos and Lisa lead RTH selflessly with compassion, experience and grace. They work with missionaries in Malawi, the Philippines and Costa Rica as well. Because of these partnerships, RTH Is able to be much more efficient and effective in meeting the needs of the local communities. When Covid allows travel to these countries I look forward to traveling with RTH to these areas as well!

Reaching the Hungry under the leadership of pastor Carlos, has impacted lives in Malawi both physical and spiritual namely ; installing bore wholes, providing womens skills training, Discipleship and Leadership Training, showing Jesus film and preaching Jesus(evangelism)

On women Skills Training ,RtH has trained women in remote areas on how to make alaundry soap and provide them a starter pack for small scale business.

Reaching the Hungry has managed to bring churches together through Leadership Training and Discipleship.RtH has even managed opening Bible Study Groups providing them with Talking Bibles to even help those who are not able to read on their own.

RtH has even reached out to Traditional Leaders here in Malawi. Most of our cultural beliefs in Malawi are contrary to Christian faith so by reaching out through Traditional leaders has made it so easy to reach the whole community with the gospel.

To watch a video of RTH put in a water well in Malawi just brings me to tears, we take it for granted, they are experiencing it for the first time. I have gone to Mexico, Guatemala and Malawi with RtH and have found them to be good stewards of funds and their use to empower people in countries where resources are scarce. My wife and I are missionaries in Costa Rica and our partnership with Reaching the Hungry has blessed our family and ministry tremendously. We are so grateful for all that Reaching the Hungry does for the Lord and missionaries. The council and mentorship we receive from Pastor Carlos Sales has helped us grow as missionaries and pastors. They have raised financial support to further our ministry and help our family. They are actively involved in the ministry here in Costa Rica as they mobilize churches to come and join us in the work. We don’t know of another nonprofit that cares for its missionaries as Reaching the Hungry does. Obviously, their goal is to further the Kingdom of God, not their kingdom. As missionaries, it is so encouraging to know that we have a whole team of mission-minded individuals at Reaching the Hungry that are behind us and believe in what God is doing here. Their faithfulness to the Lord and their commitment to Him is a real testimony to us as we see them use their talents, time, and resources to further God's kingdom.

I have gone on three (3) trips to Malawi, and each time I come back, my heart is full of God's love !!! The people over there really have nothing . . . it is such a poor country and the day to day struggle, just to stay alive is so real, but putting that aside, these people have sooo much joy for life !!!! It really speaks to me to see what God has given them . . they have so much less to prosper from materially than we do, yet they have so much more joy. God is good, and at work, and I really feel like I am the one who prospers from these experiences. I really can't wait to go again !!!

I've been going on trips and serving with Reaching the Hungry for more than 10 years now! I've gone with them to four different countries (Mozambique, Malawi, Nicaragua, and Mexico many times) in many different seasons of life.

I have always been impressed with the intentionally and integrity of the organization. They have demonstrated their extreme thought, prayer, and wisdom in their decisions regarding the big picture (which countries to go to, what missionaries to partner with, what the overall goal of the trips are, etc.) down to the smallest details (travel logistics, comfortable & safe lodging, planned out daily schedules, meals, etc.). RtH also works hard to operate with integrity and honesty in all their interactions with others and their behind-the-scenes operations. They place themselves in places of strong accountability with their advisory board and they intentionally model these same practices for the missionaries they support.

I would highly reccomend getting involved with Reaching the Hungry in some form. Whether that's through financial support, donations, pray support and encouragement, going on a trip, or leading a team, you will not regret the expeience and you will be moved by how it shapes your life!

Reaching the Hungry is an inspiring non-profit. Throughout the pandemic they have worked to shift gears and care for the needs of people locally and globally. They distributed pallets of hand sanitizer, provided back to school necessities for orphans in Mexico, and encouraged many other ministries to keep their heads above water. International travel restrictions might have kept them from their typical water well installations in Africa and health clinics in South America, but it did not stop them spreading kindness and humanitarian aid. Love them!

We met Pastor Carlos and RTH in 2007. Since then we have traveled and served in multiple countries. RTH has installed many water wells in Africa and Nicaragua. I have personally seen the difference that this makes in the outlying villages and the people within. What a family member would spend a day doing now takes minutes, gathering water. Amazing. We have come along side RTH in church services, field videos of Jesus’s story and movie with multitudes of villagers in attendance, thousands of people wanting to hear the Gospel in their own language, Audio Bibles, eyeglass ministries, Children's programs, and so many more. Such an awesome experience seeing so many come to Christ. We have financially supported RTH as well as having volunteered, and continue to do so. Pastor Carlos and his wife Lisa are amazing and responsible people. Whether it’s clothing, blankets, eyeglasses, soccer balls or finances, RTH uses its resources to their best possible means. If you have a heart for others, and you’re wanting to make a difference in the world, Pastor Carlos and RTH is definitely a ministry to be considered and supported, both by coming along side, volunteering and financially supportIng this amazing ministry. Reaching The Hungry has given me the opportunity to support an issue that is close to my heart - clean drinking water! I first started with supporting this awesome organization that imparts the love of Jesus to many areas of the world through word and deed. I decided to go on a missions trip to Malawi, Africa to install pumps for clean water in the villages. So far over 100 of these pumps have been installed, but moreover, Jesus has been presented to the villagers as the true living water that we all need!

I was so proud to partner with Reaching the Hungry on a mission trip to Malawi, I went with every intention of helping others and came home with a new heart and a new love for a country I never really even knew much about. The testimonies we were able to give and the help we were able to give by building water wells, giving talking bibles out, being to bless some of the community with reading glasses, going to the orphanage, and just living in and visiting these areas with the people of these villages was amazing. It is definitely a trip I will keep In my heart forever. I cannot wait to be able to take my own children to visit and help with another Reaching the Hungry mission. The trip was so well organized and our accommodations were nice. The bonds made with the other volunteers from the US and Africa will last longer than a lifetime. GOD IS SO GOOD!

I've worked with them a couple times. Their heart is truly to love mankind as Jesus loved them. They work really hard to bless people around the world. I've been to Mexico with them But their ministry reaches around the world. I wouldn't hesitate to go on a trip with them, to pray for them our to financially support them. God is truly using them and I have seen with my own two eyes, miracles The Lord has done through them.

I know and support Carlos. He is leading one team after another to do the needed work all over. Installing water wells, feeding the hungry, and ministering to them at the same time. Every dollar he gets is well spent and he works unto the Lord, not himself. If you want your donations to go to do the work that God directs, please consider supporting this ministry.

My name is Dave Robbs and I have worked alongside RtH in Malawi. I also have a nonprofit, Poyeho Project, and we do business training and development in Malawi. I have watched RtH as they have helped communities in Malawi through many outreaches, providing water, community development, life skills, and business assistance. They have a wholistic approach to people in helping them to develop all aspects of their lives.

You're not going to find a guy with a bigger heart than Carlos Sales! My husband and I went on a mission trip to a Mexican orphanage with him, and we were quite touched by the work he does with feeding and providing for the children.

I have partnered with Reaching the Hungry in a lot of different capacities over the years. They have provided many opportunities for me to live out my calling. I’ve been invited to go on trips to Malawi, Mozambique, Nicaragua, Mexico, and the Philippines. Through RtH I have been emboldened to step out in my faith by praying out loud for our missions team, leading a morning devotional for our team, sharing my testimony to crowds of hundreds of people, & eventually challenging me even further by asking me to organize a couple medical clinic days. Each step of faith that RtH has encouraged & provided the opportunity for me to participate in has changed the entire trajectory of my life.

I ended up living in Nicaragua for several months & then moved to the Philippines for 2 & ½ years! The good communication, organization, constant prayer, & support I experienced with RtH has not only helped prepare me but has also made my missions overseas sustainable. Now my husband and I are praying about & preparing for someday making another move overseas with the support of RtH.

The opportunities that Reaching the Hungry provides for ordinary people, at any stage/walk of life, actively challenge & deepen your faith & increase your heart to serve others!

I have volunteered many times with Reaching The Hungry when they organized 1 day mission trips to Tijuana for orphanage and Christmas outreach visits. The team is always well-organized and helpful. I live close to the border so I meet them down in San Ysidro and we walk across the border and then catch a bus to our destination. I love Pastor Carlos and his family who often participate as well. I have always felt welcomed and included even though I don't know any other volunteers. This is a great outreach your church can get involved with and not have to do all the planning yourselves. I hope to volunteer on one of the Malawi well building missions someday. Highly recommend this non-profit!

I loved going to TJ and the orphanage with RtH, I had so much fun. It was organized but didn’t feel too strict. We all had a part to play and in my opinion I felt very useful. I recommend signing up with RtH to experience joy and show love to kids and others. I would do it again

My family has supported this ministry since the beginning. Carlos' heart is authentic and sincere. The desire for impacting the world through sharing the Gospel extends well beyond words and seeks to express the love of God in tangible actions that meets real needs (physical & spiritual) to people who are lost and hurting. RtH connects, encourages, advises, loves and empower missionaries throughout the world. RtH also organizes, trains, and supports missions teams to minister alongside of in-field missionaries by providing outreaches, training & education, clean water, food, clothing, medical clinics, sports equipment, etc.. all to help support the on going work of local missionaries.
