Started in 1989, Baykeeper is the only bi-state conservation organization in New York and New Jersey that is using hard hitting advocacy, legal action against polluters, land conservation, and habitat restoration to create a more sustainable, equitable, and cleaner Estuary. The professional staff, long term supporters, and volunteers are committed to Baykeeper's success. A funder once said about Baykeeper that "they do as they promise, play well with others, but run with scissors."
