Programs: The organization provides the initial "seed" money to the august l hormay wildlands insitutue which in turn provides "boots-on-the-ground" supervision and oversight for choosing projects and providing the initial funding for which matching funds are more easily obtained to carry out the objectives of the organization. In 2016 the oganization provided funds for an onsite visit technical assistance and advice to montana fish, wildlife & parks personnel on the ecology and management of big sagebrush/grassland/rocky mountain juniper big game winter range sites. It is also providing assistance through the august l hormay institute for a student project involving landscape collaborative grazing and greater sage-grouse survival (a phd project). It also assisted in two graduate student projects.
