Mission: The RPM Fund presents annual awards to aspiring Olympic athletes in the sport of skeleton. Skeleton is a sliding sport in which athletes pilot open sleds head-first down a mile-long icy track, often reaching speeds of 80 mph. Randy took up skeleton sliding in 1999, 3 years after being diagnosed with a rare and aggressive form of thyroid cancer. For the next 3 years, he trained and competed on tracks in Lake Placid, Calgary, Park City, and Lillehammer. The Randy Price Memorial Fund ("RPM Fund") was established in 2004 as a 501c3 tax exempt organization by the Price Family to recognize Randy's involvement with the skeleton community and to provide a means of helping other aspiring skeleton athletes achieve their dreams.
