Programs: Randolph hospital, a not-for-profit, 145-bed community hospital was established in 1928 with the approval of a cooperative plan with the duke endowment at a joint meeting of the asheboro rotary club, the kiwanis club, the chamber of commerce, the town council and interested citizens. The plan called for the building of a 40-bed hospital.
