My grandmother is indigent and was unable to afford food for 13 year old Great Dane who was all she had left in life and was dying of ovarian cancer. She was going to have to part with the one thing she loved on this earth & some how Raffle Rescue learned of her situation & came to her rescue. Grandma & Dolomite will be forever grateful.
Thank You Raffle Rescue !
Have been in dogs for half a century and recently was lucky to find this group. Everyone is super and they help insure that the dogs can stay with their current families. Absolutely the best concept I've ever come across.
Raffle Rescue has been a life saver for me and my animal family. They have provided food for my 2 dogs for the past 2 years, sometimes going beyond that and providing flea control, shampoo, toys, collars, leashes, odor eliminator. They really care about the welfare of my pets. Also they have helped me with wild house cats which is a major problem in my area, trap and neuter then release back into the wild to help keep the population down.
Lisa is a terrific person who cares about animals. I met Lisa and we discussed my lack of a pet. I told her that my last pet was a manx cat and that I wasn't interested in another animal, but if a rescue manx came to her, then I would adopt. Lo and behold, Lisa brought a beautiful 3 year-old grey neutered manx came into my life.
His name was Mr. Stubs and although he was a far bigger cat that my first, he was a scaredy-cat. He hid his body under one of my end tables with his head between the wall and my sofa. Over time, he gave me his trust and he loved the house with the freedom and protection it provided. He learned about the two pet doors, the first that led him to an outside screened in patio, and the second door that led him into a fenced in yard.
Unfortunately, Stub became sick before I had him a year. He passed away guarding the door to his home on Columbus day. He was a nice cat.

Raffle Recue matched a 5-year old rescue manx named Stubby with me. He is a great cat and he loves the outdoors, summer and winter, alike.
I have two pet doors whitch let Stub go from the outside into the patio and then my home. This permits him to eat (and sleep) when he desires. Currently, he has made his "home" in a section of the yard under a set of stairs that go into my shed. "His" yard is fenced, and he "protects" the area, day and night.
"We' get up early. Around dawn, Stub will come into the house and "talk" to me, get his neck and back rubbed, then it is his meal-time before he returns to his yard. He makes a second "visit" around dusk. Maybe when he gets older, he will decide that airconditioning and a couch is an easier life, but until then, he he is enjoying the "wild" outdoors on a fenced in area of Lake Saxon.
He seems to be a happy cat and he has enriched my life. Thank-you, Raffle Rescue
To see the face on the folks when I deliver their pet food , makes the effort worthwhile. Kutos to the Raffle Rescue & Lisa for all her work and dedication to having made this organization possible !
" The late Prince "
I have been volunteering with Lisa and I am amazed at her dedication, integrity and focus. She is an inspiration to all who meet her. I wish there were more people in the world like her!!!
I have known Lisa for years. and I know her love of animals. It was only fitting that she found a way to match her love of animals with the needs of the more vulnerable residents of Pasco county. It is heartwarming to think so many people are inspired by Lisa's mission to help pets remain in their own home with their "people". During our visit, Lisa stopped at several pet stores to pick up donations!! This charity run by Lisa Bekiaris is a full time job, yet Lisa passionately does this for no money!! It takes a very committed and devoted person who believes so strongly in their mission to work so hard and so diligently for no pay!! In closing, I just want to say I am so proud of Lisa and so happy she found her niche, helping those who can't help themselves.
I am a retired k9 officer that came to Fl due to an injury that placed me on disability. I joined ESRA English Springer spaniel rescue and fostered several dogs and found them forever homes. Well lo and behold I ended up keeping the two worst cases I had and they stayed with me. The only way I am able to do this is because of Lisa and Raffle rescue. She is kind and understanding and doesn't make you feel ashamed for asking for help. Always a smile and her volunteer equally gracious. Each month at her home and when I wasn't able to go to her she came to me. She and her staff and organization is a god send. Many thanks.

WOW WOW they are great lisa was so nice and understanding I am so greatfull for the help and if I should need the help longer than this month all I need to do is call her. what a relief in our time of need.
Since Lisa founded the Raffle Rescue organization, she has dedicate her invaluable time in helping keep pets and their owners together. I have never met anyone as passionate and sincere as Lisa in helping not just animals as well as individuals. Lisa pours her heart and soul in every project and event she hosted for animals. I myself volunteered for her on numerous occasions, this is a woman who has worked overtime to make sure pets are healthy and safe with their owners, never have Lisa uttered if, ands or buts, She always found a way to keep our pets safe, alive as well as making sure they were healthy. Numerous occasions I have saw if a pet was in need or hurt Ms. Lisa herself nurtured that pet back to life. As I can recall many times, Lisa the founder of Raffle Rescue Organization has changed her schedule, her daily errands to meet with pet owners and made sure their needs were met.
I have assisted Raffle Rescue at various events - seeing the passion that Founder Lisa puts into her explanation to people about the rescue she started in 2009 really shows me that she is truly devoted to building her organization into a nationwide rescue. I can see that happening to them, so many others have now followed in her "lead" - pun intend - she has such unique idea's to help save animals it's just wonderful. She suggested her concept to help her local counties Meals on Wheels clients with pets and deliveries pet food to their area's homebound seniors. They also take part in many community events and give away pet food to those in need. It's just amazing the impact she has had in her community-but she needs more recognition from them in my opinion, something she really deserves for all the hard work she has been doing and still continues to do on a daily basis for animals and their families.
When Founder Lisa read an article in 2008 in a local Florida newspaper that said, "Fido Joins the Bread Lines" she knew that something had to be done to help the families in her community struggling to keep their pets. Lisa started PET FOOD DRIVES. Offering to individuals on supplemental incomes who have pets assistance in feeding them so they don't surrender them to one of the many over crowded shelters where their days are limited. Lisa concept of "RESCUING" directly in the home is unique, innovative and a different approach that has never been done in the rescue/shelter industry. She has paved the way for others to join in on this limitless way to help as many animals in need as possible. Without the limitations of the traditional shelters, Raffle Rescue has no wall or cages to control their ability to help.
Support this organization - they are making history... Helping Animals, One Life at a Time - Saving them by Keeping them in the Home they already have !
Raffle Rescue's goal is to help in any way possible to keep owners and their beloved pets togeher -- whether it be providing food, helping with veterinarian expenses, finding forever homes for abandoned animals, or just being a friend to talk to. Pet food is delivered to some of Pasco County's Meals on Wheels elderly clients with pets in need of food. Ms. Lisa is a very passionate and caring individual. She gives a great deal of time and effort to keep the organization alive and productive. And it's fun to take a chance -- and possibly win one of the raffles -- while at the same time helping the animals.
I met Lisa and her furry friends after attending a function she was participating to get her group in the public awareness. She is a compassionate person and works to have her animals placed in good homes as she saves and changes the fates of innocent animals. Lisa and her supporters work diligently to make the animals safe and well placed as well as getting people to want to help with this important mission. Her dedication is awesome and to be recognized and commented.
They found me a place to live where my two little dogs could play in a large fenced yard without annoying anyone (I have dog owners on all sides.)with there barking and other typical dog behavior and a house with all living accommodations on 1 floor so I can ambulate easily with my walker. Raffle Rescue (RR) has also given me dog food, treats, dog sweaters, and flea colors, and cut my dogs' nails. They even took me out to dinner each month, offered transportation to Vets and provided other friendly, caring hospitality.
The founders, Lisa and Tony, are gracious, generous people, who love animals and display this love freely.
This rescue is always involved in the community. They offer hope and help to anyone in need. If they cannot help with an issue they point you to the correct path. They are very active in the school system with education and information. They promote community involvement and encourage others to become involved with the community and with our animals.
