Does it no phase people how small Racing for Recovery has become? The Thursday night live meetings used to be packed, now is a handful of people. It started going down hill when the founder Todd was found guilry of over stepping boundries and forming relationships with client also know has taking them on vacations to Hawaii, Puerto Rico,Las Vegas,Michigan,Virgina Beach and many others. Most likely all billed to insurance, same as the saturday night pizza socials, did you know that each person atttending was billed $25 for services, well that sure paid for the pizza. Ride in the van to go watch softball were charged between $50-$75 for therapy, the same as the trips to Wal-Mart. If you are from 2018-2020 just look at your insurance biling it is all there. And his relationships well those were more like intimate stufff, the Todd may not have admitted to it, but doesnt it strike you odd that Todd B his 2nd in charge did and turned over his license, this too can be found online. And then Dan he is gone most likely for the fraudulent billings. Also all of the people who are in the pictures celebrating a year etc. did you give written permission because is dangerously close to hippa violations if you didnt. AND really Todd what is the deal wwith you always advertising yourself, are you trying to live vicariously through stars that you have paid for their little clips, the money you spend on your self advertising on the walleye games, and on the jumbo screen at Comerica field, I doubt they said hey lets get a top local celebrity whos reputation is tarnished beyond belief and ask if we can advertise him. Do you think people drinking beer at a hockey game actually care about Racing for Recovery, or care to learn about it? Also what is up with your NUDE pictures of you doing some sort of Yoga on your twitter and facebook page, considering the reputation people associate with Racing for Recovery do you think those pictures will attract new clients? Or are you that much in love with yourself. ANd that is why most of your past clients are at another organization....You Failed, you took an idea and ruined it, all you are about is the money, and your ego, your a pure narcissist, all racing is about is promotion through selling those shirts and stuff you think up, and when did you open a lab to create vitamins? or do you just buy generic ones in bulk and add you label? And how can choices and consequences be taken seriously when all the pictures are..guess who...you and celebrities you have met, well...WHO CARES think they think of you probably wouldnt know your name anymore and the hockey jerseys you give to them well thats just for your ego like look at me I met these people well Todd so did millions and millions of people your not to damn special now are you, and all the idiots who follow you and run ungodly miles ever tell them the phisiological effects? The hospitalizations, the urine that is like pepsi, the effect on joints or were you gonna let them find out in later years when cant walk very well if at all. Or possibly you just dont know which wouldnt make you a fitness guru would make you stupid, clueless or insane take your pic.

This program has you read the owner and CEO books for their "groups". No recovery based interventions that are evidence based. If you disagree they kick you out of their housing. The staff are hired from within as past clients who have unfortunately been brain washed into thinking their leader is stable. He is not stable. His staff are unstable. They ought to close this place down fast !

This place is a joke! This organizations will manipulate you.when it's just about filling the pockets full of money! It is 1 of Ohio's worst success rate rehabs? If you want too workout and have some fun..This is the place! If you want to get sober , I would suggest a different avenue!

Strong concerns about where the funds actually go. The program itself does help people but it appears there should be more oversight, preferrably by a non-biased board or committee.

The organization strives to PREVENT drug and alcohol abuse. Each FREE to the public service costs to develop. Because of Racing for Recovery, I am now aware of the financial cost to my State and me. I'd rather see PREVENTION and AWARENESS promoted than keep throwing my money at the endless heap of after-the-fact options that don't save lives before they are harmed.

I have no information or opinion about the quality of work by Todd Crandall regarding his counseling services or the impact he has on his clients. It is extremely naive, however, to endorse an organization as extremely efficient without first reviewing information about efficiency. Here is a link to the 2008 IRS 990 submitted by Racing for Recovery. In addition to $4,000 in compensation, look at the last page of the document - $17,628 in auto expense, $2,694 cable modem, $6,899 "miscellaneous", and more. Someone is getting paid when $31,032 is spent on Speaking Fees, Counseling Expense, and Mentoring Program.

Racing for Recovery is a nonprofit organization and any one that knows Todd Crandell know he does not take any money from R4R for this frank guy to state that Todd is padding his pocket with R4R funds is just wrong.Frank im truely sorry if you had a bad experience but that does not give you the right to bad mouth Todd Crandell or Racing for Recovery.Todd has spent ten years saving lives. There are over 40,000 + that have been touched by this awesome program. I don't know very many people that can say they had a hand is saving that many people. I belive in this program and will stand behind it to the end of the earth.

Dan i totally agree with you and what you have to say about this frank guy i would like to know what event he has volunteered at, and where he is getting all this information. I would like to know on what grounds Todd should be arrested on.The only thing that i could think of is him being such a GREAT person in the community but that wouldn't even work but hey opinions are like ass-holes everyone has one

Todd Crandell's story is amazing in and of itself. Not only does he have the education to help and assist people. He has the life experience that he can draw from in his capacity as a counselor. I first contacted Todd earlier this year to "reach out for help". He responded very quickly and got me in front of him within 24 hours. I could not have been more grateful as time is often precious when dealing with substance abuse. Since then Todd has counseled both my wife and I. He has really made a contribution in my ability to seize my opportunity of sobriety. I have seen him speak publicly on these issues. My children were also impacted by Todd's story as he recently spoke at their High School. Todd offers "real" solutions to "real" problems and is extremely professional.

Every city in every state should have a Todd Crandell. Our country is in such a state of a drug addicted crisis, and very few people ever care about helping others who have been impacted by this terrible disease. This man's entire life has been dedicated to helping others, with much of his own finances. Todd, if I ever win the lottery, it is all yours.

Too bad you don't even have a clue what you are talking about. Before you try to attack other's and their integrity you should probably look in the mirror. Todd Crandell and, his Organization have helped many people and continue to inspire those in need. You sound like a jealous and, selfish person who would probably benefit from going to a few meetings. Instead of trying to bring other's down , try assisting those in need. God Bless You!And stop slandering people and their lives because you are a loser and depressed. Get with the program! Todd could not be paid enough for all he has done and, the many people he has assisted and, inspired.

Racing for Recovery is a wonderful support group and organization. Todd Crandell is not only above board and honest, he is truly saving lives. I know for a fact that he has given much of his own money to this group. As far as his travels and athletic activities, there is no extravagance there. Todd's holistic approach to recovery is a game changer. I'm shocked that anyone would question the value of this organization or Todd's genuine intentions. This is a bright, educated, well thought of individual that could be doing anything he wanted and I'm sure quite successful. He has chosen to give back what he was freely given. He is to be commended as is this group in its entirety.

R4R is a way for Todd Crandle to manipulate people with addiction and bring in sponsorships to fund his globe trotting adventures. This type of organization is shows a disgraceful waste of funding. Where does the money really go? Are the books correct? Todd Crandle lives a lavish life of travel and grand expenditures thanks to his so called charity. He is not humble, he is has no real interest in helping anyone but himself. It just so happens a few people do receive help through him helping himself. R4R is a scam.
