My name is Murray Fox and my daughter, Rachel was only 34 years old when she was diagnosed with stage 4 breast cancer. After a double mastectomy with lymph node removal, physical therapy, chemotherapy and radiation treatments, the cancer had spread to her brain. She received Gamma Ray treatments for several months to keep the lesions at bay. A month later, the cancer went into her spine which in turn gave her a stroke. Rachel was placed in hospice care until her passing in June, 2015. Rachel left behind her wonderful husband and her three year old son. When Rachel was receiving all of those treatments, her co-payments and prescription bills began piling up. She often wondered how could the average family afford their co-pays and out of pocket medical expenses, especially if they are struggling financially. Through Rachel's family and friends, we have made Rachel's concerns a reality. We have formed Rachel's Helping Hands Cancer Foundation to bring some relief to families' financial struggles during their battle with cancer. We are now making a difference in the lives of families. We are here for them!
