I have had the pleasure of helping with Rachael's Rescue. I must say, I have loved every minute of it.
It's a great feeling to help animals in need find great homes. Rachael's positive, friendly attitude is also great.

At a Rachael's Rescue adoption event, I saw Polly and was immediately drawn to her. She is a gorgeous, personable little black and white kitten. I adopted her and she has been a healthy, playful, and well-socialized addition to my family. The volunteers are dedicated to their mission to find loving homes for the displaced animals that come into their care. They try to make sure the pet gets proper medical attention. My Polly received all of her shots and was spayed as part of the adoption process. She is a delight! I am thankful to Rachael's Rescue for giving her a new life with me.

I recently rescued a cat through Rachael's Rescue! Besides the fact that my new fur baby is the best ever I had a wonderful experience with this rescue group. They respond promptly compared to most rescues and I could tell they really put the needs of each of their pets first. Rachel's Rescue definately ensures that each cat is placed with the right match. I wouldn't adopt from any other rescue group in the Raleigh area now that I have experienced this groups passion and kindness.

Thank you for helping me find my newest forever cat "Prince Charming!" I will continue to help support all the amazing things you do for animals in the Raleigh area!!!

Rachael's Rescue continues to do amazing work. Even with limited resources they have managed to save over a hundred animals and recently helped bring home two dogs from Afghanistan for one of our service members. Its been a long and amazing journey.

Rachael has always had a special place in her heart for animals. With Rachael's Rescue she has been able to do amazing things supporting animals and people in need. She will go beyond the call of duty whether its placing animals in good homes, helping fill the gaps for needy families, or helping other rescues . When you adopt from her its just the beginning and not the end like with many other places.

I am happy to say that I am so glad I started Rachael's Rescue. I have met so many amazing animals and even more amazing people. Through the help of friends, families, and adopters we have almost hit 100 cats/kittens saved and re-homed. This doesn't even count those that have received food assistance or spay/neuter assistance. I will continue to strive to give the best service available to my adopters and to the animals that come across the rescues path. I may not be able to save them all, but I sure will try!

Our family has adopted 2 cats from Rachael's Rescue. Are lives have been changed forever by the addition of these 2 sweet babies! Rachael loves and cares for all the animals in her care and is so helpful throughout the whole adoption process. She is also always available for help after the adoption and is great at checking in our babies. We've now had our first kitty for about a year and a half and she still checks in on him! Our new baby is now about 4 months old and he had a hernia when we adopted him. Rachael offered to take him to NC State Vet School for us and took great care of him throughout the surgery to remove his hernia. She truly goes the extra mile to make sure her animals are all placed in happy healthy homes and we are so blessed to have met her and been given the gift of 2 furry babies that are now such a wonderful part of our family.

We are so thankful for Rachael's Rescue! Our family met Rachael at a pet store about 8 months after my 15 year old cat passed away. She had 2 beautiful sweet baby kitties at the store that day. She was so friendly and we could tell that her heart was totally devoted to her cause. That day we took home a baby tuxedo kitten and named him Loki. My 2 girls fell head over heals in love with him as did my husband and I. Loki brought new life into our house and makes us laugh everyday! Rachael was very helpful throughout the adoption process and even came to our house to check on Loki several times. I have recommended her to friends who may be interested in adopting a furry new family memeber. We love Rachael's Rescue!

It's nice to have a personal touch in this electronic world. It's nice to have a helping hand in time of need. Two things that I received when I reached out for help from Rachael's Rescue back in end of July this year. On June I had adopted a young male cat for my senior male who had lost his companion of 12 years a year before. Felt it was the right time to find him a friend to keep him company. Went to Wake County Animal Shelter (which is a kill shelter) to adopt a cat that caught my eye. He was younger than I was looking for and a little stoic at the shelter but I decided to take a chance and adopt him. After a few weeks could see it wasn't working out being there was such a big age difference. The new cat wanted to play all the time and my cat is more in the napping by the window stage of his life. I called two pet rescues in my area only getting so far as a voice recording telling me they were full and were not taking in any cats. Was pretty much at my "wits end" at this point for my senior cat was stressed out by this young cat's energy. Had picked up Rachael's Rescue card at a local pet food store a few weeks earlier and sent her an email explaining my desperate situation. Didn't want to return the cat to the shelter for fear he would be put down. Received a quick response from Rachael offering her help to me. Can't tell you what a relief she was to me. She was just amazing, full of compassion and a take charge attitude. Sent her pictures of my young cat and
she put them on pet finder and made arrangements for taking said cat to a pet store to be up for adoption. It was hard to let go of the new cat as I grew attached to him but I knew he was in great hands with Rachael. When I brought kitty to pet store Rachael had a confidence and peace about her while handling the kitty, putting all at ease. She kept kept in touch with me throughout the process and successfully found a wonderful home for the young cat. It was a pleasure to have such a caring, compassionate and smart young woman who clearly is an animal lover and advocate on my side. I will always be grateful for her help and giving heart.

We were fortunate enough to meet Rachael when she was helping bring two dogs to the US from Afghanistan for a local soldier. Her love for animals came through every time we spoke with her. She has a real enthusiasm for wanting to help connect animals & people together. She went out of her way to keep us informed of their progress. The residents are lucky to have someone like her championing for the animals in North Carolina.

We adopted a small dog from Rachael's Rescue and had a great experience. They were honest, supportive and generous by surprising us with dog treats, dog toy and brush when we first received our new addition to the family. They took the time to contact us that first week and ask how things were going. You can tell they are passionate about what they do through the animals and people they serve.

I have had the privilege of volunteering for Rachael's Rescue at a couple adoption events. Rachael's heart, energy, and knowledge set her apart from most small rescue operations. It is her ceaseless drive to educate people on the ramifications of irresponsibility regarding domestic and exotic animals that is a wonderful gift to her community.

Rachael's Rescue goes above and beyond to help people in the community. A couple months ago I found a small kitten and after my children fell in love with it I knew we would have to keep it. Unfortunately when it came time to have her fixed I could not afford it, as I'm on a restricted budget. The rescue had helped my mom fix and vaccinated her cat, so I figured id give her a call. Without any hesitation the rescue offered to help. Rachael, the owner I think, drove over 1 1/2 hours to meet me and take our little one to be spayed and vaccinated. That evening she drove another 1 1/2 hours to return the cat to me. To my surprise she also put a microchip in just in case she was to ever get outside. Thank you so much for all that you do Rachael's Rescue!

Rachel's rescue is one of the best rescue groups in North Carolina. Rachel puts her heart and soul into the care and adoptions of these homeless kitty's. She makes sure

all of the cats have vet care and are spay and neutered. I highly recommend Rachel's rescue.

First I want to say, I used to feel indifferent about animals, in particular cats.

But when you hold a baby kitten or see one begin to trust in your presence, it is one of the most peaceful feelings I have felt in a long time.

We went to remote place in NC once, to rescue abandoned kittens. Seeing the conditions of many of the kittens was disheartening. But Rachael's Rescue serves it's part in making a home for the kittens. How can you not appreciate the gesture at a minimum.

Rachael's Rescue has been the sole reason for my new experience. I first went to volunteer for the rescue for a court summon, and ended up loving the experience. It was te very well spent. And I learned that I actually have a passion for animals.

When my husband saw the three kittens at the adoption fair, he knew they belonged with us. Rachael responded to our email inquiry with an hour despite being out of town at a wedding. She met us the next day for a meet and greet. After Rachael reviewed our application, spoke with us and observed the family with the kittens, we were able to take them home. It was immediately clear to us that Rachael was dedicated to the Rescue cause and was committed to sending her 'babies' to good homes. She helped us shop in the store for the kitty essentials. Rachael was available to us when we had questions about their health. She arranged home visits when the kittens needed a check up and for the kittens' follow up shots. Rachael also scheduled their spay/neutering appointments. It was comforting when she met me there as well with all their paperwork ready. We have recommended Rachael to another family as well who I am happy to report now have kitty babies of their own thanks for Rachael's efforts.

Rachael's Rescue is a blessing across the States! Rachael's passion, love and commitment for animals goes above and beyond. She is continuously educating and reaching out to people of diverse backgrounds; ensuring animal safety, proper care and ensuring awareness of spading animals to reduce a vast population of homeless felines (or any other animal for that matter).

Rachael was recently visiting NY State for a wedding; to the Bride's parents surprise 6 kittens and a momma cat made their way into their garage during the wedding hustle and bustle for shelter and food. Rachael was instrumental in ensuring this little feline family were taken care of. She communicated with local agencies to make sure they were not misplaced from their home. Today these kittens have all been appropriately cared for and placed with loving families.

People like Rachael are far and few............... her efforts for aiding this cause are remarkable. She has made many kitty's and families very happy.

I have worked with Rachael for around a year, through Dr. Marty's Vetmobile where I work as a veterinary technician. We have spayed and neutered many of her feline rescues, as well as provided them with veterinary care. She does an awesome job adopting out stray and unwanted animals to wonderful forever homes. She has put her heart and soul into running this rescue, and the amount of adoptions she has successfully completed shows that.

Hard to imagine that ONE person could help ONE HUNDRED felines in peril in ONE year but not when you know how committed Rachael, of Rachael’s Rescue is to a cat and to the people who adopt one of the fortunate felines in her care! And she does it with an angelic demeanor; a quiet resolve, a dedicated spirit and in actions louder than words she brings care, compassion and comfort to these innocent souls coming from scary situations or even worse terrifying high kill shelters. Through my association with Rachael in helping some of these shelter felines to her rescue; I have witnessed felines of all types drawn in fear and hiding in the back of the shelter cells, so at ease and ready to jump right into someone’s arms after coming into her rescue and rehabilitative charms. I have seen Rachael take a chance on a tom tabby from the shelter that took a half years’ time she patiently gave who at first didn’t like a crate or a car or going to the Petco adoption venue, become a regal rider and proud to strut his stuff on harness no less by the time Rachael helped him find his fabulous family. I met a fantastic family, who had adopted a pair of cats from Rachael and upon learning there was another sibling left to the litter, contacted Rachael and said though they couldn’t save the world, they would help save the litter by adopting all Three (of the) Stooges” and that’s like Rachael too; she won’t leave one behind when rescuing and whether these felines come into her rescue sick or scared, plain or long haired, Rachael has not cared, but accepted them all the same. She’s the first to thank someone for their help or adoption or support, attentive to the felines needs and responsive, organized and thorough with interested adopters! Rachael may restore the cats nine lives but most uncanny, she knows them to the n(in)th degree by the time she adopts them into appropriate homes. A feline could not ask for any more; but continued supportive funding of Rachael’s Rescue to continue helping more felines in peril.

When I met Rachael at a pet store over a year ago, I had expressed interest in a Siamese cat to eventually adopt. She was tremendous at following up with me and found the cat of my dreams. It was even more convenient that the rescue provided medical help and advice readily available. I think that this rescue goes beyond their mission to rehome animals because they genuinely care about the health and welfare of them, and is in contact periodically to make sure things are okay. Very great experience, and have been referring people who are interested in adopting cats to this rescue. Thanks again

Rachael possesses an amazing capacity to love and care for animals in need. We had discovered a young barn kitten at a friend's barn who had a serious respiratory disorder and was obviously not going to survive. We enlisted Rachael's help - she came to the site, helped capture the scared kitten, and took it to a local vet for treatment. He recovered, minus the sight in one eye, and is a beloved addition to our home ever since. We could not have done this without her skill, experience, and commitment. Our home is better for this addition - thanks to her.

When our beloved Odin passed this past March we all felt that there was a huge hole left in our hearts. We felt like we wanted to share the space that we had in our hearts and home with a kitty that needed a home. We fell in love with April when we were shopping for supplies for our other pets at the Petco in Holly Springs. We applied for adopting her and were approved. From her first day here, she made herself at home and warmed right up to us as well as senior kitty, Fluffims and our four pups. She enjoys the master bedroom bed as well as sitting on the windowsills, to keep an eye on the birdfeeders. I highly recommend Rachael's Rescue as a fine place to adopt. April, (since named Meeko by our daughter) was tested and vaccinated before adoption and has been a very healthy kitty. We couldn't be happier!

When our cat of 18 years passed this spring her 14 year old house mate Mulligan was lonely. It was evident that it was time to get another cat. We looked at Petco in Holly Springs and I fell in love with Eddie a short hair tuxedo kitten. My kids fell in love too, but also with his sister and on that night two kitties found their forever home. Mulligan was not sure of the kittens at first, but now we all couldn't be happier!
P.S. Eddie has payed it forward and has found a stray kitten who now also lives with us!

There are so many choices when you are adopting a pet. Make the first one a great one and adopt from Rachael's Rescue. We chose to adopt a special needs kitty over one year ago. Rachael has worked to raise money for needed medicines and brought them to our door. Today, our kitty is thriving, happy and healthy. There is no doubt she is deeply passionate about animals and will find the right home for each pet. We love you Rachael. Meow!

I have worked with Rachael since the beginning litters she was "just going to help" to waiting for the official papers to now just shy of placing 100 young cats. !!! The amazing part is if I remember she has done this in less than 2 years. Rachael finds good homes for these cats. I know, I meet many on their neuter day. She not only gets good homes but gets them quick. I've never seen such an adoption date. Phenominal!

The Myers' Family just wants to take the time to describe our amazing experience with Rachel's Rescue! In May of 2013 we adopted an adorable most loving little boy kitten! His name is Kai. When we began the adoption, Rachel kept in touch with us, and communicated so wonderfully! We met her at our local Petco to adopt Kai. The adoption fee was very reasonable. It covered all vaccines, micro chip, and the neuter. When we brought Kai home, he did really well adjusting to his new family. We had also recently adopted a female kitten as well and they loved each other. We also have a 11 year old dog who also took well to the kittens. Shortly after adopting Kai, we notice some discharge in his eyes and nose. He also had diarrhea, and some fungal issue on one ear. We contacted Rachel with all these issues and she immediately came to our home to pick up Kai to see the Vet. She was so nice!!! She made sure all Kai's health issues were taken care of. When you rescue kittens and then adopt them out you have no idea where they came from and issues they could have. Poor Kai also had hernia which we were already aware of when we adopted him. Rachael came anytime Kai needed to re visit the Vet, and made sure it was all covered. We did not have to cover the expense. The Vet she uses is so great as well. The Vet gave all necessary eye drops, antibiotics, and any meds needed to make Kai well. Rachel would even email me to check in on Kai from time to time. If there was any other medications needed she would bring them to us. Kai is now 8 months old and the most sweetest loving Cat. Once all his issues cleared up, he stayed healthy and we have not had any problems since. I love that Rachael was so involved and caring about Kai. She truly loves animals and wants to see them in a good home and well taken care of. If we ever adopted again, I would definitely go through her rescue. I would also highly recommend to adopt an animal through Rachael's Rescue! We want to thank Rachael's Rescue for allowing us to bring a special Kitten into our home. We love him so much. Kai is truly apart of our family!
